Beets themselves have a very "earthy" flavor to begin with...lightening it up for
pickling is needed. You can offset some of that with some spices or herbs is good.
My own dear mother used to add whole cloves to her pickled beets, which I very much enjoyed, dirt flavor and all LOL :giggle:

People make generalizations. Men are blamed more often for domestic violence and other violent behavior... it is what it is.
Men are by far more violent and to blame for domestic violence.

For instance, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence.

1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men in the United States has been raped in their lifetime.

Many victims were raped by an acquaintance or by an intimate partner.

yeah

it's called backlash

Christians ARE empowered by the Spirit of God within. not to beat up on people, but to deal with the spiritual realities of the world we live in

I don't know how anyone makes it without Christ. The world responds with like; as Christians we should respond with strength in Christ

I will note though, that Magenta spoke of actual events and you brought up movies. not exactly the same and we all know that generally speaking, women are not as strong as men.

having been in a violent relationship, I can tell you that a much bigger and stronger man can pretty much do whatever he wants to a woman...including picking her up and throwing her across the room, putting her back out for days. I wouldn't know anything about that though

Way of the world. Bigger preys on smaller. 71% of children killed by a family member are killed by their mother.

All things being equal, a man will almost always, if not always, defeat a woman in a physical confrontation. So, what to do if you're a woman with no one to help you?

All things are not always equal. Sometimes a man will be bigger, but possess no fight skills. That's where some self-defense classes could come in handy.

If I may... I recommend Systema. Check it out.

I'd recommend this over the popular Krav Maga, because it's more relaxed and doesn't rely on brute strength. I also like Jeet Kune Do (JKD), but I've learned that Systema is better for multiple attackers -- unless you're really good at JKD.

mm well men can throw you down the stairs...as has happened to women I know
and leave you for dead, also also happened to women I know
(one of my friends died this way)

so...yea. Whereas, dont really know of any men who needed to go into a 'mens refuge' like women need to leave and find an anonymous womens refuge safe house so that their crazy jealous exes dont hunt them down and kill them by strangling them and put all their children in danger.

Actually many women stay and put up with abuse because otherwise their children will be hurt.

Including, or not including abortions? I'm guessing that's not including- I probably don't even need to ask.

Yeah it is not including. Women abuse children at over double the rate that men do. I will have to dig up the governments official child welfare site. Last reported numbers because it is always a year behind but it was for 2019 and their numbers were 600k and some for men and 1.4 million for women if I recall correctly. I will look it up after a bit just got home from work so don't feel like reading and thinking yet...........LOL However, yes the death percentages are absent abortions they are for children already born. Which I believe the majority are ages 3 and under.

That's a bold assertion. Please cite the source that this stat was pulled from. Thanks!
