On a flight back from Europe when I was a teen one of my older brothers asked me to put his cologne bottle in my purse so it wouldn't break in his suitcase and ruin his clothes. He apparently didn't tighten the lid well and it leaked all over my purse before I discovered it. It reeeeeeeeeeked all the way to the States and made me wanna barf. :p

Okay so question! Do you guys have a preference of perfume you like on women? Or do yall not like perfume on women? Or is it one of those things it just depends on the person? o_O Since yall brought up the topic of perfume :) lol

I prefer my women to smell like a hillside of lilies blowing in the wind at midday, with just a hint of white clovers from a nearby meadow!!!

Does that make me sound too picky???

What a great question, Livi! :D

Descyple, your post made me think of an amazing perfume my mom used to buy for me: Coty's Muguet du Bois. It's lily of the valley, sandalwood, lilacs and all kinds of good stuff, but it's really light, not something that would give you a headache. I haven't thought about it for a very long time. Thank you. I just found it online. Will have to order some. :)

My favorite scents are things with lemongrass and sandalwood. :) So fresh, light and clean.

Wow Julianna, I was just messing around, I didn't think such a scent existed. But you are very welcome for the reminder. Now that I know such a perfume exists, I wouldn't mind sampling it myself (not on myself, on another person, of course!!!).

For men's cologne, I guess the opposite would be to smell like freshly cut lumber from Redwood National Park with just a touch of burning rubber from a spinning out 1965 Mustang G.T.

Or am I way off, Ladies???

Good answer Julianna. I guess I should have known that a woman would prefer a man that "owns" a Mustang instead of a man that "smells" like one - lol.

Livi, I think most scents ladies use smell fine, but the amount seems to matter more than the brand. Especially if a guy is chemically sensitive like I am. So just be careful not to overdo it. Sometimes, due to sensory adaptation, you need to ask a friend if you're too strong. (Note to ladies: I'm sensitive about things besides chemicals also! I loved "The Notebook"! [okay, I'm lying, I never saw it.])

I agree, JimJimmers. It is very easy for a woman to overload her perfume (without realizing it) and it can be almost unbearable to be around (not matter how nice the perfume itself is). If a woman is walking towards me and her perfume hits me in the face before she does, then I know its too much - lol.

You own a Mustang Julianna? No way!!! You've got to put up that avatar of your car again (I missed it).

I guess "Mustang Burning Rubber" should be a perfume for women rather than a cologne for men!

The avatar was the dash of a classic Mustang, not mine, but I'll put it back up. :) Mine is black, but not classic, and unfortunately not a Shelby *sigh*

Oh nice Avatar! But don't worry about your Mustang not being a Shelby, Julianna. The true spirit of the Mustang is in all models (hey, Ford should use that in a commercial, I will email it to them - lol).

Check out this "Mustang Christmas Tale"

'Twas the night before Christmas and in the garage,

There wasn't a trace of a Chevy or a Dodge.

The presents were wrapped and the lights were all lit,

So I figured I'd mess with the Stang for a bit.

I popped the release and I lifted the hood,

When a deep voice behind me said "looks pretty good."

Well, as you can imagine, I turned mighty quick,

And there, by the workbench, stood good ol Saint Nick!

We stood there a bit, not too sure what to say,

Then he said "don't suppose that you'd trade for my sleigh?

I said "no way, Santa" and started to grin,

"But if you've got the time we could go for a spin!"

His round little mouth, all tied up like a bow,

Turned into a smile and he said "hey! Let's go!!"

So as not to disturb all the neighbors' retreat,

We pushed the Mustang quietly into the street,

Then, taking our places to drift down the hill,

I turned on the key and I let the clutch spill.

The sound that erupted took him by surprise,

But he liked it a lot, by the look in his eyes.

With Hoosier`s a' crying and side pipes aglow,

We headed on out where the hot rodders go.

And Santa's grin widened, approaching his ears,

With every up shift, as I went through the gears.

Then he yelled "can't recall when I've felt so alive!",

So I backed off the gas and said "you wanna drive?"

Ol Santa was stunned when I gave him the keys,

When he walked past the headlights he shook at the knees!

Then the big block exploded with side exhaust sound!

Santa let out the clutch and the tires shook the ground!

Power shift into second, again into third!

I sat there just watching, at loss for a word,

Then I heard him exclaim as we blasted from sight,

"Merry Christmas to all...........what a great night!!!"
