Either way! To me, cooking is cooking, regardless of the differences in chef class and food type.

More or less, learn the rules, test combinations, and create your own masterpeice!

Hey Jules, You're awesome! Remember that, okay?

I think a particular female ginger prefers "mischievious" to "devious", but who am I to say. :)

Mischievous it is then.
:)

I appreciate you and so many others, Oncefallen, for helping me keep my sense of humor up. Truly. :) There are so many people who are quick to turn on someone at the first sign of a mistake, or a bad day, or a bad week, no matter how kind or edifying they have known you to be.

Seriously...thanks :) <3
My pleasure. :)

who enjoys cooking? I'm wondering if more men like cooking more than women or women like cooking more than men.
I love to cook and bake, but don't do either as often as I like. Being single and living by myself isn't an environment conducive to cooking a nice meal often since it means I'll be eating leftovers for days. I don't bake frequently either since I have a sweet tooth that won't quit. If there are sweets in the house, they don't last long.

The people who live alone need to learn about the freezer. It's a very nice way to not have to eat the same thing for ten days in a row. Simply freeze single portions of the food you cook and leave a meal or two in the fridge for lunch/dinner. You can pace yourself that way. Same way with cookies, Jim, though if you prefer them fresh, freeze balls of cookie dough on a cookie sheet, then put them in a ziplock bag after they have frozen. Thaw and bake them when you want to, though some people bake the frozen ones for a little longer instead of thawing them first.

^ Yup. I can't wait to get an apartment where I have room for a freezer that's not just the top part of a refrigerator. :D

I'm one of those wierdos who doesn't mind leftovers for a day or so, but I'm not a fan of freezing/thawing, except for maybe soup or frozen peas. It's wierd..I know. :( Just add it to the list of my freaky stuff. *twitch twitch*

If I'm really in the mood to cook and make too much, I'll just take it to work for lunch the next day or share with my neighbors. :)

I fixed it for you. :D:D

Some things I'll freeze for later use, but not much. By the way, peas in any incarnation are of the devil and shouldn't be found in a good Christian's home. :D

Thanks Niceguy! :)

(I had seen it in the forum list, where it lists number of replies, not number of total posts.)

I agree with Jilly! Not only can you freeze meals, or Reese's, but more importantly the freezer keeps your ice cream from thawing.. :)

[hope no one minds a new subject, but it's somewhat related]

Why do women like pretty food? Anyone who has ever thrown up knows it doesn't stay pretty for long.

No no no...that's the difference between the 'c' spelling and the 's' spelling.

However, if you're a human being that spells it with an 's'...well...as long as your not made of chocolate and peanut butter, you probably have nothing to fear.

Ex: Reese Witherspoon

Now 'wither' or not to use a spoon is an entirely different matter!

Actually, while 'platting' and overall food presentation are key factors in higher level cuisine, I find that the taste of the dish is the most crucial aspect.

If a dish look unappetizing, I might still try it. If a dish TASTES terrible, I don't care how good it looks, no means no! ^^()
