We're all waiting on the edge of our seat, Bees!

I had to check and see when this thread was written -- April of 2021 -- well over a year ago.

I appreciate that someone gave this thread another chance, and is allowing the current crowd to gauge their thoughts.

I just reread the title again.

I don't know anyone who hates mature women. However, I am just now reminded of one who has left me 71 text messages and how many phone messages, God only knows. I now have learned about a block feature on my phone. No we never dated or anything else. It was just a lady who became infatuated who attended my Bible study. I gently let her know that I was flattered but not interested. That normally works fine.
Anyhow, topic at hand....
I can find no prohibitions on age gaps.
If a younger man and mature woman wish to marry, I see no sin there. Likewise goes for the younger lady and older man. I'm not talking Hunter Biden, Brigham Young or Mohammad. Im referring to ADULTS.
Some people make to much out of what others might think. In many cultures there are prejudices about marrying someone who is from another country or cast if in India.
I don't really care, because it doesn't seem that God cares. There is a request that the younger women bear children. That is after all how they are designed. That goes against the current American culture though.
What is common among American girls?

A. Some time after menses begins, the mom's take their daughters to the doctor or health department for birth control pills.
B. In high school she is told to decide on a college major / career instead of finding a good mate.
C. They are told to hold off on marriage and be promiscuous. Make sure that the career is established and make money even if married.
D. Sometime in the next decade, she should maybe have children.
E. Liberal culture tells the women that they should not even reproduce, however abortion is promoted when birth control fails. It's considered the back up birth control plan "B".

This has been the UNbiblical trend that has been a curse on American women.
(Is there any way to turn off the anoying auto correct feature? It takes too much time to keep correcting their "corrections."
Unbiblical NOT Umbilical!).

Don't shoot the cougars. Shoot the auto spell correct.

@posthuman -- I want to apologize to you.

I realize that I may have grossly misunderstood in that you were saying the topic of the thread was potentially inappropriate, when maybe you meant the song?

I'm not familiar with it and unfortunately, am not in a space where I can clearly listen to it right now.

I sincerely apologize if I misunderstood.
i meant the song might not be appropriate -- but the thread title reminded me of it.

@posthuman -- I just saw your emoji, and again, I'm sorry for misunderstanding.

You've always been very level-headed, reasonable, and gracious to us singles and I apologize for jumping to conclusions. I should have known better and it's totally my bad.

I read the lyrics to the song you posted and I have to admit, I'm not sure I understand them -- maybe I'm just too dumb  -- but again, I really am sorry.

Thank you for taking the time to explain.

aw, thanks =]

i dunno if i understand them either -- i think it's a bit of a commentary against white ethnocentric machismo & racism, particularly in the western US. a 'coyote' can be a slang term for someone who helps people illegally cross the Mexico/US border, tho i'm not sure the songwriter had that in mind so much as the animal. they've always been a very weird band, and this song was from early in their career while they were perhaps their weirdest.

but i meant to apply the sentiment 'true men don't kill coyotes' to the question of whether 'true men kill cougars'

i should think, no. we don't just kill cougars simply because they are cougars.
a hornet nest on my porch or red ants in my yard where it presents a danger to my family, yes i will do something about. but i don't just go around killing every wasp i see, like some people do. not without cause.

Thank you so much for your graciousness, and for taking the time to explain.

I remember when Red Hot Chili Pepper's "Under the Bridge" was EVERYWHERE, but I never got into any of their other music.

And I appreciate the very last part of your post, "I don't just go around killing every wasp I see, like some people do. Not without cause."

Cause, of course, is a whole 'nother conversation. :)

Reading the tenor of the OP it appears to be a personal vent cast onto society thinking that way.

You fully concur with an unbeliever chastising the church they know nothing about being an unbeliever who doesn't attend church.
Usually when seoulsearch posts a thread like this, she is making an observation about how society works, asking why it works this way, and speculating how things would be if it worked a different way.

Rest assured, she ALWAYS has a deeper goal than just venting. o_O

And if you think Subhumanoidal doesn't know anything about church... Boy are YOU ever wrong! You should learn about your targets before you start taking shots at them. You missed that one by three miles.

Gotta watch out for Tom's too.
Especially if they are stalkers.

He's beautiful! I used to have a Siamese/Himalayan mix (he was from a breeder who messed up on keeping the two breeds they were raising apart) who was a short hair.

And his coloring was perfect mountain lion. Plus, he thought he was a mountain lion too! He'd go out into the woods and sit on a tree stump just surveying his domain like a king... Hahaha

He was the best cat I ever owned, the most well mannered. My daughter would drag him around the house by his tail and he'd just let her without a complaint one.. lol

My next door neighbor has one too.
He hangs out in my yard because he likes the solitude and shade of the trees. I thought it was Himalayan. White, long fur . Over a couple years I thought it got a hair cut because it was much shorter. She said the cat was Siamese. It's a pretty cat

It's interesting how they have different personalities. Mom had a Minx. It looked exactly like a miniature Bob Cat, color, markings, tail, ears, long back legs.
I bet yours was very rare. Sounds like a good cat

Hey Everyone,

I was reading an article about the singer, Madonna, who was basically the original "Lady Gaga" when I was a kid, is apparently 62 years old -- and dating a 27-year-old.

The article then proceeded to talk about all the flack she is getting for this
Thank you for posting this thread! What I put in bold and underlined is what I am extremely specifically interested in. Please, please and please give me all you got on this. I am thanking you ahead of time for any and all the work you will do to produce the info! What "flack" is Madonna getting for this? Please, give me the details. Please don't generalize. I'll owe you one!

The reason I'm extremely curious about this is I will be shocked if there is anything real to it. My preconception is she is really not getting any "real flack" about dating a 27-year-old.

My experience tells me that either: almost nobody cares she's dating a 27-yr-old, most of the rest think "good for her", a few are just jealous and remaining silent or tells a harmless "robbing the cradle joke" same as men get, and the remaining person is the 27-yr-old's mom who can't keep 'nasty things about Madonna' coming out her mouth.

My related preconception is the author of the article (that you mention) created or highly inflated "all the flack" in order to talk about how "in comparison it's perfectly acceptable for men". I could be totally wrong on both preconceptions; I'm excited to see.

There wasnt any link but then its the high profile cases that get discussion going not the my neighbour type stories. But these journalists ya have to wonder whether they report stories to fit their narrative?

You must be new here. Poor guy. Now you're gonna get it.

Lol.

It's ok, Lynx.

I do understand. I'm guessing that maybe there is an objection to me using an example from pop culture, and I understand that.
