nah, i was thinking how much my sisters and i enjoyed hopscotch and jumping rope.
playing kickball in the street and making up plays with the neighbor kids,
which we then inflicted on our parents.

but i've enjoyed this thread so much!
seeing all the stuff my kiddos played with. :)

^^^ Yeah, I think the Star Wars Death Star set is something like $300 (anyone who knows for sure is free to correct me.) I love looking at Lego creations, but it's totally insane.

I used to live in FL about an hour and a half from their flagship store. I would go there sometimes on my days off and I loved looking at all the new sets that had just come out.

You guys are mentioning some really awesome things!!! It makes me feel happy... and OLD... at the same time! :D

Please, continue doing so. :)

And bonus points to all the participants who have posted pictures... For some reason, I always mess it up when I try, so kudos and thank you to all of you who looked up the AWESOME pictures.

Even the younger generation should be able to pick this one off since He-Man ans Skeletor are starring in some Honda commercials recently.

I do remember Woody Woodpecker, of course :), along with many others (Tom and Jerry, for instance) that, unfortunately, were not among my favorites.

Maybe we should start a thread about favorite childhood cartoons. Or hey, just include them here--almost all of them had a toy line anyway.

I still have my woodywood pecker VCR tapes (which I mean to transfer over to DVDs) cartoons back then were so much more impressive no hightech computers and such! Tom & Jerry was neat! Speaking of tom & jerry yall ever play mouse trap...I could never get the entire board game set up haha

My absolute favorite was a plastic play set of Jellystone Park, with Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Ranger, his jeep, Snaggle Puss etc. There was the ranger's cabin, rocks and a cave, trees, pond, fences and woodland animals. I left it set up in the corner of the dining room all the time and played with it every single day. I still had most of it left when my son was old enough to enjoy what was left of it. Old plastic is brittle.
