I think Tobby17 should be ban,,,he is very narrow minded.

Gays, Lesbian, Boy, Girls all are created by God.
You should be ban for your ignorance and cheek.
Why do you think does the bible warns us for sodomy and reprobate minds?
Read this and you know what happen in the atmosphere of sex rebels!

Child molestation and pedophilia occur far more commonly among homosexuals than among heterosexuals on a per capita basis, according to a new study.
"Overwhelming evidence supports the belief that homosexuality is a sexual deviancy often accompanied by disorders that have dire consequences for our culture," wrote Steve Baldwin in, "Child Molestation and the Homosexual Movement," soon to be published by the Regent University Law Review.
Baldwin is the executive director of the Council for National Policy in Washington, D.C.
"It is difficult to convey the dark side of the homosexual culture without appearing harsh," wrote Baldwin. "However, it is time to acknowledge that homosexual behavior threatens the foundation of Western civilization – the nuclear family."
Though the homosexual community and much of the media scoff at such accusations, Baldwin – who chaired the California Assembly's Education committee, where he fought against support for the homosexual agenda in the state's public schools – says in his report that homosexual activists' "efforts to target children both for their own sexual pleasure and to enlarge the homosexual movement" constitute an "unmistakable" attack on "the family unit."
Baldwin's research is substantiated in a recently completed body of work written by Dr. Judith Reisman, president of the Institute for Media Education and author of numerous authoritative books debunking sexual myths, including "Kinsey, Crimes & Consequences."
In her thesis – also written for the Regent University Law Review – Reisman cited psychologist Eugene Abel, whose research found that homosexuals "sexually molest young boys with an incidence that is occurring from five times greater than the molestation of girls. …"
Abel also found that non-incarcerated "child molesters admitted from 23.4 to 281.7 acts per offender … whose targets were males."
"The rate of homosexual versus heterosexual child sexual abuse is staggering," said Reisman, who was the principal investigator for an $800,000 Justice Department grant studying child pornography and violence. "Abel’s data of 150.2 boys abused per male homosexual offender finds no equal (yet) in heterosexual violations of 19.8 girls."
Jay Heavener, spokesman for PFLAG – Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, counters that federal crime data refute claims that homosexuals molest children at higher rates than heterosexuals.

Report: Pedophilia more common among 'gays'

If your filled with the Holy Spirit then He will compell you to turn from anything that is contrary to His word. And His word says that homosexuality is a sin. No, I'm not saying that if your filled with the Holy Spirit you will stop sinning or anything but if your truly filled with Him then you won't have any desire to intentionally sin and/or continue in the path you are on. It is black and white. There are no grey areas in the Word. Also, stop fearing insulting people with asking that question. Because the gospel isnt there not to offend people. People these days are offended by the Gospel of Christ.

Shame on the ones who have told this young person that they cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit! It is self-righteous people like you who help turn those who are seeking God away from him!

We all fall short of the glory and everyone has the free will to seek out God, regardless of what we do or have done. The Bible says that we are to lift each other up, not beat each other down with the laws of the Bible. Remove the planks from your eyes!

It is astounding how many Christians believe that once they are saved, they have the "God given" right to go around casting judgments against others and telling them that they are not worthy of God's love and mercy. Remember where you were before God called upon you. And if you truly believe that 'gay' is an abomination, then extend your hand to those who ask and show them the true love, mercy, and grace that God has given to each of us. That he gave to you!

And yes, I believe that regardless of where you're at or who you are, you can be filled with the Holy Spirit who will guide you to righteousness!

"For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking; the door shall be opened." - Luke 11:10

Notice how nowhere it mentions special requirements before you ask, seek, or knock.

hislastwalk,

You may be able to speak from experience but you cannot pigeonhole everyone else's experience to your own. Everyone's walk with the Lord is different than another and people grow from the Holy Spirit at different times. To tell a person that they cannot have the Holy Spirit in them is counterproductive to spreading God's message because everyone has the free will to seek God and THAT'S the important thing, to keep seeking him. People are too busy inisisting, "You, you, and you cannot obtain mercy from God because of this, that, or the other. But guess what, I can." It's like telling people that in order to have salvation, you must first prove that you're worthy. God wants us to come to him, wounds, transgressions, and all and let him heal us, not try to heal ourselves THEN go to him.

I spent many years believing that way and all it did was leave me feeling miserable and undeserving of God's love and grace that he wanted me to see was readily available to me if I would just let go of trying to earn it. Now God places conviction on me where before I was living under condemnation brought on by myself and the devil.

On another note, I can appreciate that you're speaking from experience but you are not the only one to walk in those shoes, just remember that. Just because a person feels that they have been delivered does not give them the right to tell another person where they stand with God. In no way do I mean to personally attack you, I've just seen too many people walk away from the Lord because they were convinced by others that they were undeserving of his love and mercy, and left void of hope. And that "I" can attest to from experience. :)

Of course such is wrong. No one is worthy of anything from God in and by themselves. Then there are also those who think they have the "right" to tell people that living in sin is OK and that one can do that and still expect no condemnation. Such that justifies sin. Better?

Tribesman,

I said no such thing of justification of sin or anything of that sort, I was clearly pointing out that telling a person that they are not able to have the Holy Spirit in them is not for anyone to judge, and that I get tired of the holier-than-thou attitude that gives Christianity a bad name. For people to say, "Hey, clean up your life THEN come to Christ" is ludacris and completely opposite of the purpose the Holy Spirit serves. Invite God in and he cleans us up. Even the ones that the self-righteous consider the "bottom-of-the-barrell" sinners are free to keep seeking God and he will move in their lives. Just because some Christian's roads to righteousness are shorter than other's gives them no right to critisize or pass judgment.

There was a young person who said they were seeking God and wanted their life to be different and felt the Holy Spirit with them and there are narrow-minded people telling them that it is not possible. It is exactly those kinds of Christians that dash the hopes of those who consider themselves lost and needing help but walk away from God because they feel that he will not accept them because certain Christians tell them so. Too many times people concern themselves with what sins they feel people are commiting instead of the actual person coming to God. It is not Christian duty to condemn, it is to bear each other's crosses without comparing the size.

1 "BRETHREN, IF any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also. 2 Bear (endure, carry) one another's burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it]. 3 For if any person thinks himself to be somebody [too important to condescend to shoulder another's load] when he is nobody [of superiority except in his own estimation], he deceives and deludes and cheats himself. 4 But let every person carefully scrutinize and examine and test his own conduct and his own work. He can then have the personal satisfaction and joy of doing something commendable [in itself alone] without [resorting to] boastful comparison with his neighbor. - Galatians 6:1-4

I think alot of people need to study more. The new testament doesn't say anything about homosexuals being horrid evil creatures. In fact, Corinthians 6:9–10 just lumps them in with all the other socially unacceptable behavior. Near the middle of the list, between adulterers and thieves, are the two Greek words translated in the New Revised Standard Version as “male prostitutes” (that is, homosexual male prostitutes) and “sodomites.” But no special emphasis is placed on these people.

Sure if you believe in the bible, then homosexuals are not going to heaven. All this hatred towards them is completely unjustified.

All I was saying, is if I was still living a homosexual life, no I would not be saved, and I would not be full of the holy spirit. God's not gonna move in, and ask the devil to make room for Him, when he comes in, he gets it all out. Stop saying I was judging them or w/e. It's a simple fact, actually, the person who wrote this post, is friends with me, and he agrees with me >.>

I certainly didn't mean to upset you. But I would like to point out that no man can say who is and is not in God's favor. The scripture tells us the rules yes, but it is not for us to judge.

Also remember that men, even ex-gays like yourself, are not expected to be a perfect. A saved Christian is succumbs to the lure of homosexuality is not immediately damned to hell. They can be a holy person fighting off a powerful desire. "For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish," (Rom. 7:19).

"We must always struggle for holiness. But the fact is, like Paul, we sometimes do the things we don't want to do and don't do what we should. It is our struggle against sin that demonstrates that we are regenerate since we are seeking to be holy as God is holy"

I never said we're perfect, but if your a homosexual living the open lifestyle, the bible clearly says you will not go to heaven (same for drunkards, and prostitutes, etc)

A homosexual is not possessed by an evil spirit Tobby, a homosexual is tempted by the devil to act on a sin. just like you or anyone else. Temptation is not a sin, if your tempted to drink your eyeballs out that doesnt make you an alcoholic, it means you are being tempted to be one. When a person is tempted with the attraction to the same sex that doesnt mean they are homosexual, it means they are being tempted with homosexuality. Until they act on it they are not homosexual according to the bible. the bible says "thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind" Leviticus 18:22 it doesnt say "thou shalt not be tempted to lie with mankind" so yes, a person who is tempted with homosexuality can be filled with the Holy Ghost, a homosexual cannot. but a person who is just tempted with homosexuality and doesnt act on it is not considered a homosexual according to the word of God. Read up on the subject some more. because its not a funny subject. its very serious and when people tell people who struggle with the temptation of homosexuality that their going to hell the person who struggles just gives up. or they get so scared that they end up killing themselves in their fear. so think before you talk about the subject on homosexuality. because you can seriously hurt someone who you think isnt saved but really is just because of your lack of knowledge. No disrespect intended, just letting you know. you need to listen to the guiding of the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost did not want you to post this, i guarantee it.

I do NOT think homosexuals can be filled with the Holy Spirit, that''s why i think it's funny to see homosexuals speak in tongues and all that. And secondly, this thread does NOT condemn homosexuals or tell them they're going to hell or NOT saved..

Please i you could point out how this thread discourages an homosexual???

Tobby, almost everyone in here is fusing homosexuals and people who are tempted with homosexuality. your almost all acting like there is no difference. and you act like the sin of homosexuality is worse than all others. I believe its in Corinthians where its just placed in with all the other sins listed. no special treatment given. Let me ask you a question Tobby, before I was saved I lived that lifestyle, when I got saved I stopped. Am I still tempted to lust after men? yes. Do I act on this temptation? No. Now knowing that I was at one point acting on it. Found God. Stopped acting on it. however the attraction is till there but i choose not to act on it and i choose not to lust and instead i pray and fast. I am a Holy Ghost filled, Tongue Talking child of God, bought by the blood of Jesus. Am i tempted? yes we all are, but temptation doesnt mean we are sinning, if you recall Jesus was tempted in the desert to turn stones into bread. so are you going to tell me that im not filled with the HG and that i dont speak in tongues because of a temptation? because if you are your a fool and that would mean Paul the Apostle was never filled cause he lived with a horrible temptation till he died and never told anyone but God about it. temptation doesnt become sin until its acted on

For the record Tobby. you may say what ever you want to. you are not going to offend me in any way. Just letting you know that. my last post may be misleading cause it sounds kind of like im offended. Im not brother lol. It does not offend me that you have decided yourself what to believe instead of having someone tell you what to believe. In my book thats a good thing. So i want you to feel free to say what you want because we are all Bros and sis in Christ and i love you the same. :)
