Christian is not a brand, it is a life style and while one may easily call themselves a Christian they need to think about what it means, to take up our cross and follow Jesus. Please do not condemn in your head the rest of us because of the opinions of someone who is living in oblivion. What victorwisdom said is as far from Jesus' teachings as it can get.

Being a Christian is following Jesus the one true god, and God himself has revealed to us several times in the bible that homosexuality is wrong, taboo, a sin- all that. Then how can we try to follow only part of his teachings and look over or manipulate another part to make our sin easier to cope with? Satan is the father of lies. You surely doesn't need to know every person out there who calls themselves homosexual because the truth is not case specific. The truth is the truth and it applies to all. Homosexuality is indeed an act and not some way you're born and that act was a sin and always has been a sin to everyone until the world corrupted by lies decided they wanted it to be not. Any sort of Holy Spirit filling in someone who thinks they are homosexual is from the father of lies. That's the truth.

This is not the Christian teaching, judgement based on your number of good deeds and bad deeds is something from Hinduism for example. You can do thousands of good deeds and help out hundreds of people and even save lives, all out of the good of your heart but what matters is whose name you do it in. Without Jesus even those wonderful actions will not gain you eternal life.
I know this is a zombie thread. But the reality is it depends on what definition you are using for homosexual, the world's or God's. If it is a homosexual who claims to be a Christian but their life and their words do not reflect it, then most likely they are not a Christian and do not have the Holy Spirit in them. They still can change though in the future unless they die without knowing Jesus. But if they are struggling with same-sex attraction and not engaging in homosexual acts, are Christian, and asking God to change them from the inside out, then they can change (contrary to our culture, that claims feelings always equal reality, which is not biblical) and have the Holy Spirit inside them. Finally, another case is one who is in a homosexual relationship is loved by another Christian who points out that they need Jesus whether they mention homosexuality or not, then the homosexual becomes a Christian and either slowly or quickly God works in their life and they quit the homosexual lifestyle as well as the relationship they have with the one that is their equivalent of a significant other.
Now, as for what causes someone to be same-sex attracted that is a tricky science that involves a lot of factors. Jesus never said it was OK and he never changed from what God said in the OT about homosexuality being a sin, contrary to those who believe in the ''gay'' theology (popularized by a person named Spongg (?) and Matthew Vines), that try to make the best friend relationship of David and Jonathan into a homosexual relationship, which is not biblical and would violate God's command and would have in turn been condemned by God. Men can have best friends who are men just as women can have best friends who are women. Now can a person who is a homosexual be possessed by a demonic spirit of homosexuality? It is possible. But is the reason that people pursue that influenced by that? That is not as clear. Thanks. Oh, I didn't know there were etiquettes like these on this site (whoops) but I found this website and this post through a service provider when researching about a related topic. I wanted to know what this 'gay theology' was. But I shall slowly slink away (now that the damage has been done). Thanks for the pointer.

Judgement from the Lord Jesus Christ is His judgement and as a Christian man who stands with the Word and in the Spirit that it is written. You shall not bring sin unto the spirit and have claim to the virtue of His righteous grace. It is written and so I say it's better to enter the kingdom of heaven without IT than to sin with another man who also sins and live in sin claiming a sinful virtue and being blinded to the Master.
Sex is a hypnotic state and the only cure is Redemption. For a man who wants to become the woman only to be a man again is evil incarnate a madness that original sin begins in the temple that the Lord commands it to be kept sacred.
Jesus was but a man and of himself he was nothing, He defeated evil with nothing he had the knowledge and his own voice to defeat temptations and was without the God given powers he had performed miracles.

Just a thought... Did anyone on here become perfect and then say right Father now please can I have the holy spirit because I don't sin now ?? Or is it the work of the Holy spirit that changes us because through faith ?? I mean If someone has been filled with the holy spirit and then has an affair does that make them any different to the homosexual that struggles ??
