As an update - I'd like to say that the discovery of exoplanets that have an atmosphere similar to earth is growing longer and longer. Most “Earth-Like” Planet Found Yet - Sky & Telescope
As this grows to more massive propoartions the possibility of life there gets more and more possible. Under those circumstances then theology has to fit with a new idea of what and where life is.

The Bible tells us that God keeps the universe in the palm of His hand and that He is so into detail that he even count the hair on our heads. My conclusion is that if there are life on other planets, God already knows about it and He is also in control of what is happening there :)

Please take a very practical viewpoint here: JESUS came to EARTH, once..and only ONCE..to die and shed HIS blood for mankind, ONCE and only ONCE. HE will not nor was it part of GOD's plan for JESUS to hop, skip and jump all over the universe to each inhabited planet to be reborn of a virgin, and die on a cross for those peoples that earthlings only think exist. This is preposterous. THERE are NO other HUMANS out there. GOD breathed His very breath into ADAM only..HE did not pick up dust from another planet and begin to breath into Steve, or Jo, or Leroy and then have to make soul mates for each human so that they could replenish and populate each planet. Please understand that Humanity only exists on EARTH, GOD's perfectly balanced home for mankind. Mankind's next 'home' will be their own choice....heaven or hell. Imagine having several hell's for all of other alien planets...it does not spiritually add up.

Well - of course the bible is for man written by man, god inspired. Why cant that occur elsewhere and still hold true to gods will

pwrnJC makes a valid point when he said that Jesus was born from a virgin once. I doubt it that there will be a recurring pattern in the universe but we will all know the answer when we meet ABBA Father one day :)

JMO, but if there IS life on other planets, it doesn't necessarily have to be HUMAN. Personally I don't believe that God made ALL the planets, to put life onto only ONE of them. Why wouldn't he put some form of life onto ALL of them? jmo

I see no reason to suppose that life does not exist on other Planets. I don't believe there is Human life anywhere else though.
It would only take some evidence of life on Mars for instance to confirm it, even if it is a very lowly bacteria. I believe the question regarding life in our Solar system may be resolved within the next fifty years. It is questionable whether I will be around at the time though.

Maybe God is going to use the other planets for something else? He created them, but He doesn't have to use them now per say...the Earth was void for a while.

Well with the growing long list of exo-planets with an atmosphere similar to earth (exo-planets are planets around other suns), the chances of more developed life becomes higher. There will come a point in time when we discover that lifeforms exist elsewhere in the universe, and it will be that discovery that will require us to re-think or broaden some of the current christian ideas.

But even if there's life out there in other planets, it might something like bacteria or animal. But the question is what if there are intelligent organism out there like us? Does that mean they are made in God's image? That I do not know. But I am curious. Is there a contradiction between the existence of other living organism in exoplanets and the Bible?

One thing is for sure is that, if there was life on any other planet it would be because God put it there. Life doesn't just happen by itself. In the scientific community the theory is that if the conditions are right, then life could exist, as though life was dependent upon the conditions. That thinking is erroneous because the conditions have nothing to do with it and that because unless God creates it and puts it there, it's not going to be there regardless of the conditions and that because he is the creator of all life.

Ah, yes if you are talking about abiogenesis. But whether life just came to be there, God is still the reason why they are existing. For short, every contingent things depend on God. But if scientists holds naturalism, then they will say God's not necessary for existence which opposes the Bible.

The science I am referring to isnt discussing how life came about - its more looking at the conditions that we all know we need here on earth for life to be sustained. So if you have a long list of exo-planets with the same/similar conditions as earth, then the probability of life their becomes higher. As for intelligent life - it could be just microbial...or so sophisticated that we are the ones that look microbial.

Sure it I'd possible... but only by the will of God. Anything is possible if God wills it
