In the old testament, they were against such things. But, we should ALL know it's not ungodly! I won't get one because if I do, they won't let me donate blood at the blood bank for a period of time ( plus my husband would be upset!) It is a way people express themselves. I once saw a beautiful tatoo on a young woman of Christ's head with the crown of thorns. To me, it was a way of her witnessing to others and showing her love for her Lord. We need to concentrate more on being better followers knowing FULL WELL others are keeping an eye on us to see how we live. Let's just honor God by obeying Him the best we can and bringing glory to Jesus and being thankful that the Holy Spirit resides in us and keeps us on the "right path"

'happy are those who can eat (pierce, tattoo) whatever they want without feeling guilty'

I think it's the feeling of quilt that can drive one away from God.
so, if that doesn't happen I guess it's fine.

nevertheless I much prefer no piercings and tattoos. if only because most piercers and tattoo-artists are against God.

I got the Juggalo tat on my forearm but as a dude I'm just not even gonna consider piercings that's poking holes in your body which was intended for sacrelgious ceremonies in ancient times and doesn't even look nice...

Well Colt, technically, TECHNICALLY, getting a tattoo is also poking holes in your body. :)

And I should heal them!
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Strong warning from Jesus Himself, which clearly describes the state the church, is in today! Many hearts are waxed cold and dead to God, they seek pleasure and indulgence over purity and self-control, they think they are hearing the truth when it’s all vanity, lies and deceit, telling them they can sin like the devil, and still be saved!
They close their ears to truth because it convicts them to the core, asking them to do and obey, instead they flock to hear rest and trust in something that never happened. They do not see the wrath to come as they sin with impunity telling others its normal and God looks the other way, or His great mercy covers them as they rebel against Him seeking many false teachers who tell them all is well, repentance isn’t necessary, or make it out to be just an apology for their sinful condition.
Now the door is still open to those who have not shut it yet! But it comes with a high price, which includes repentance on the scale of Nineveh, coming to self as the prodigal did, and seeking His mercy while there is still time.
This healing doesn’t come from admitting you were born a hopeless sinner, or you are the Romans wretch, or just accepting Jesus as your wrath substitute, but from a real conversion that can only take place by doing this first:
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Let's just make a list, that would be easier. All of these are from 16 until about a year ago.

Things I've had pierced:

- Nose (5 times)
- Ears (7 times)
- Mao Labret (2 times)
- Vertical Labret (1 time)
- Snake bites (2 times)
- Monroe piercing (3 times)
- Belly button (1 time)
- Eyebrow (1 time)

No tattoos though. As of right now, I have no piercings, not even my ears. I only have a scar from one, and that's my Monroe.

A snowflake (for my brother)
A pink cherry blossom tree (for my sister)
Harry Potter quote
a stylized Irish cross
fraternity tattoo

All in places you usually can't see, if I'm fully dressed, except for the cross on my leg.

How did re piercing your nose feel? That was the worst piercing for me and it unfortunately ripped itself out a few times and would then not go back in.. I've got a scar and would like to get it redone.

I think the subject is to touchy for me to handle properly. Not quite ready to defend it or pass judgement upon it. :) But I myself have one tattoo. I got it before I found God. I am unsure if I will ever get another, but if I do there will probably be even less thinking involved in it than my first one. Even with my found faith I do not regret it. And it suits how God has reached out to me in many ways. You could even say it's symbolic. But I do not hold it to any standards or of much consequence. I guess someday I will find out! :D

I don't have a piercing or a tattoo, but I'll get at least one tattoo. first one will be a german quote and the second one will be 'always trust in god' I guess. Or something like that. And maybe I'll get my nose pierced.

I don't have any myself and I don't see myself getting any, especially tattoo's as they are too permanent, imho.

Even some food labeled organic isn't the greatest. Living in general now a days is pretty damaging to your health

I'v got 2 piercings on each ear. I think that piercings and tattoos are not really Godly because afterall our body is a temple of the most high God and i wouldnt wana vandalise it in any way. but then again, God doesnt look at whats on the outside but is more concerned about what is on the inside (our hearts). :)
