I have both. more tattoos than I can count. They all run together in most places. I started getting tattooed at the age of 17 and I first was pierced at 19. I did and apprenticeship and worked as a professional piercer for a number of years. That was 1993 and I do like them. It's a part of my nature I can't say I don't like them. I'm not saying it is right either. I don't like them to the extreme I did when I was younger though. I had everything pierced and modified to an extreme.

i love seeing girls with both ears pierced (ears only).. and i got my both ears pierced, too, since i was a baby..
i also like tattoos on someone's body (NOT that - you're skin is covered with tattoos already).. just a simple one, coz i think it is one way of expressing their art.. but i dont want to have, even just a single, tattoo on my body. i just like seeing it on others :) haha.. just a self-opinion :)

there is this local tattoo/piercing studio and its really freaky, satan stuff everywhere, .. ,it says ''this building is guarded by the devil himself'' on the door. and when ever i've been in there i pass out... even leaning up against the wall outside makes me sick... so im convinced its like a spiritual thing :p ha, i know most people will think im just squeamish with the needles, blood etc ...i disagree - ive pierced my own ear twice at home, no worries ..

the place i got my navel pierced had a sample photo of tattoo - the devil strangling the pope! it was horrible.

why cant these places be run in a nice environment =) and like incense and flowers everywhere haha i guess because it isnt exactly a holy thing to do .... if the studios were nicer to be in i might;ve considered a tattoo but noooooo

Tattoos and body piercing are plain wrong. God does not stand for it,so neither should we. It doesn't matter if you get a tattoo that says I love Jesus,God still doesn't like it. Remember when you die you are going the same way when you were born. Doing good works for the Lord will only matter. Tattoos are things of the flesh and we know that flesh will NOT stand before God on that day.

I don't see a problem with them. My sister wants to get some tattoos on her arm and stuff. However, there is such a thing as going overboard with them, and then it's just not attractive in my opinion... Same with piercings. Ears and belly button are fine but when girls get them everywhere else then ew...

Just my opinion though, not judging anyone who has a bunch of tattoos or piercings. It's your body.

That's exactly how my mom sees it. If I came home with a tattoo, she would add another decoration to my butt lol.

That's how I feel too. It's nice to look at someone else's, but I'd never get one. >_>

I have two piercings, one on each ear. I don't want more.

I'm 21, 22 in July, so I don't know if I belong in the teenage section anymore. Though, I have 3 tattoos.

A pinup girl was my first. I got it after my first deployment on my right calf.

A Compass of Chaos was my second. It's on my left upper arm and was representative of my feelings on life at the time. No idea where I'm going and the potential go to anywhere was very real.

My third is Salvador Dali's rendering of the Temptation of St. Anthony. Partly because of what it represents, partly because I love Salvador Dali's art. Haha.

I see nothing wrong with tattoos. Your body is a temple. Temples are meant to be adorned with praises to God and manifest the spirituality befitting if said temple. While I don't have many praises of God exactly, it is ultimately my temple. A temple to my own feelings, emotions, views and psyche.

Just my two cents. :)

I have four piercings in my ears, am thinking about a fifth. I was considering getting a tat of a cross on my hand but Dad says I will never be allowed to get one:). So instead I'm thinking about playing around with Henna which is a lot less permanent.

So many arguments here, wow.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Just love each other guys! You are both in Jesus and you don't need to condemn each other. <3

With that out the way, I've never really had an interest in them.
I think there are some really beautiful tattoo's and maybe one day there will be an idea that I want to implement. I don't think I would ever want to get a piercing though, that's just me.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

I agree - I think tattoos are ungodly...and I have one. Leviticus 19:28 reads, "You shall not make any cuts in your flesh for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord." Before being saved, I was very much into new age and freedom for all to do what they wanted etc. My thought was that as long as I didn't get a lot of tattoos, then it was ok. I was planning on a couple more, but not too many. My husband has a huge sleeve tattoo with all our families star signs represented on it. Now that I have converted, and my mind is no longer filled with the trash that satan puts in it, I know that I'll never get another tattoo again. I can't imagine now ever marking my body like that again. My mind is so renewed, and so much more inline with how we God created us (without all the lies that satan makes us believe), that the last thing I want to do is mark my body permanently. I don't think tattoos are grave sins personally, but any sin that is consistently given into can become a grave sin...so tattoos are things I now personally think are ungodly

I like tattoos but not piercings, but Im a guy lol

Tattoos are ungodly if you make them ungodly. I have a cross. Is a cross ungodly? NO. If you say it is, your crazy. lol

God looks at the heart. I do not care what anyone else thinks of me.

So interesting that you point this out.. I've been really wanting to get a tattoo and even a nose piercing for a while now, but in regards to tattoos I was talking to someone and they were saying that even the places that DO tattoos.. as a Christian, would you want to be even seen in one? Even the location or shop itself could be stumbling to someone else or even ourselves. It's something I definitely had to stop and think about!

My Dad is EXACTLY the same. He says while I'm in his house he won't allow any tattoos, or even any more piercings (I have 4, only in my ears.. the normal ones and then my seconds). I've wanted a nose piercing for a while but he's against that too. For a while I was really annoyed and upset about it, but with the Lord's strength I've come to respect his decision until I'm an adult and I can live on my own! No doubt, it's difficult at times though:)
