right we should hate what God hates and love what God loves.
True. But remember that God loves all people..... AND he tells us to also love those people we think (know) are doing evil things...... equally as much as we love ourselves. (And here we are doing all the "right" stuff. It's a tough concept to swallow)

ok I can agree with that but what if Jesus walked in on you playing Mario instead of reading the bible or telling others about the good news?
You're allowed to have fun.

Good, clean fun, of course. But fun, nonetheless.

If I come across as overly defensive I'm sorry, I will admit I tend to be passionate about what I believe!

Nothing wrong with that, but remember just because something is a stumbling block for you does not make it wrong for everyone else. Some things we have to remove from our lives because it is hindering us from our walk with the Lord. For me it was a lot of my social media. I deleted Facebook and Twitter and everything because it was causing me to waste to much time. Does that make it wrong for everyone? No, but for me it would be best to remove it. I am very glad you have removed something from your life that is holding you back and I pray you will grow stronger because of it!

The thing is tho...God probably convicted you because you had a serious gaming addiction and that took away from him. That doesn't mean it is bad for everyone. Drinking, while not prohibited is dangerous to some people struggling from alcohol addictions, so they can't drink. I can read Harry Potter and not feel one association with witchcraft and read it like a fantasy but some one else would be extremely convicted of the magic aspect. The Holy spirit convicts people of different things because everyone is DIFFERENT.

Everyone's weakness is not the same..lol.

I hope you understand this because I'm so tired...lol :p

I don't play video games [except maybe 10 min of Angry Bird when I'm really REALLY bored]: it's a waste of my time. Do I think video games are addictive? Maybe, depends on your personality I guess, but almost anything can be addictive. I'm not the expert but I suspect that some games [like WoW] were specifically designed to be addictive. Btw I don't think you can truly get rid of everything that makes you "sin." Like I used to have a drinking problem, don't drink anymore, but everywhere I go, parties, clubs etc there's people drinking. Liquor's readily available everywhere. So ultimately what it comes down to is getting right mindset, not [just] getting rid of anything that makes you "sin.'
