Aw, yeah. He's an alright bloke. Did you know Snowy is called Milou in the original French albums/graphic novels? Not quite like the malt drink. Haha! He (the dog) was named after Herge's first girlfriend, Milou.
Was vaguely aware of the French name connection...

Used to watch it (TinTin) as a nipper (boy) and remember that it always kept me rivited to the TV until it had ended...

Cool, cool! Actually, Herge was Belgian, but from the French-speaking area in Brussels, Belgium. I've seen the older TV adaptation of Tintin it was very loose in its adherence to the original stories and the animation was questionable, but still it was probably a lot of fun.

Whereabouts is my hi fi store, I can't remember where I left it (doh)?

LOL! Funny you should mention that as I take my music quite seriously and have invested quite a large amount of money in a hi fi system.

Well no doubt you have heard about the Abbot government paying people-smugglers to turn back to Indonesia.

Large increases in American military presence are planned for Darwin and Townsville.
I was somewhat sarcastically wondering whether we could pay somebody to send them back where they come from.

Oh... I thought the Australian economy was going down hill with the reduce price in Iron ore prices and resource minerals like LNG. Not sure why Abbot is spending money like we have heaps to spend..we should be spending on things to improve the economy.

Incidentally, it seems that CruisyAzz has the good fortune to reside in sunny Queensland too.

I'm planning to head to Australia during this December. I was reading that temperatures can get up to 44 degree Celsius/111.2 Fahrenheit? Is this correct, or just some exaggeration from tourist..As locals, do you find temperature soar around those temperature mark? Thanks :)

No it gets pretty hot, but last summer was hardly hot so it might not be so bad once you get here.

It can get hot in Australia. Sometimes it can spike up to 40, but like what realchild4life said, it's not so hot lately, who knows. But I suggest you come prepare for long hot days..... hope you don't mind the flies. ;)
