I think you may have missed the other post, three up.

''When I said that emotions have nothing to do with God, that was to say that his messages don't try to win your emotions, but your heart and your soul, and to reach to your spirit, and THAT is what makes the emotions come, because our flesh was built to respond in certain ways. '' -Ramon

May Jesus bless you.
I did indeed miss that one, however. How can he win your heart and soul without emotion?

My friend, he needs no emotions to penetrate your heart. But when he does, our flesh can receive it several ways. Most of the time it is hostile against him, since he speaks the truth, and we were are not accustomed to that.

As I said, when the Lord showed me the Truth about himself, I was not so easily moved by pastors who try to manipulate the emotions of people to get an expected result. As the Lord confirmed that I had been hearing him when he let me hear an offended pastor, who preached lies in hypocrisy, and I could tell the difference. I WAS VERY VERY VERY VERY... UPSET!! He kept the truth hidden behind his offense and let a soul possibly slip into hell on his death bed.

Many pastors have forsaken Jesus Christ for emotional damnable gospels. And MANY follow them. There are many seductive pastors swaying many, and I could name a few.

The salvation of Jesus Christ does not work by manipulation, but by true and pure and honest repentance of sin, and a strong determination to follow him, come what may.

If we do not know the voice of Jesus Christ, we will follow another. Jesus said his sheep hear HIS voice and obey him, and another they will not follow. Also, he warned us of the hierlings that don't care for the sheep, as when the wolf comes they run away. But Jesus is the GOOD Shepard, who lays down even his life for his sheep.

If you don't pay the hierlings, they cut you off.

May Jesus bless you.

Each person is unique, some feel more than others. emotion is a part of everyones lives whether they want it to be or not. It can be both good and bad. Compassion, Love Empathy are good emotions generally. Jesus had a lot of empathy. He was referred to as the son of man. and man uses his emotions. Pastor who try to manipulate are not good but Jesus can come to you any time and any place. You say they sway many but you cannot say for sure they didn't encounter Christ.

on a side note....cc has become really little in the middle of my screen and I can't really see the posts very well, does anyone know what has gone wrong here? Thanks in advance :)

There are so many religions in the world. Within Christianity alone, there are thousands of denominations. Historically, human beings have bickered and even gone to war over which doctrine is right. Within Christianity, adherents have gone abroad seeking to convert atheists and believers of other faiths. The Crusades are an example. These Christians traveled from England to the holy land to remove Muslim rule, and they tried to do so by way of the sword. Why is that necessary? Is not taking another human life for whatever reason a sin? Another example is the Great Reformation in which Christianity was split into various protestant factions. They killed in the name of God. Huh?! This is just one of the many contradictions within humanity's interpretation of who they believe God really is. And it does not matter if one is Christian or of some other faith. ALL human adherents to any religion are subject to fallibility. Because they are HUMAN. No MAN, no WOMAN, can tell anyone who God is in essence, because everyone has their own interpretation, and not everyone can be right. Religion is a man (and when I say man i mean so in a very patriarchal sense) made entity fabricated by ''men'' in order to keep society in check and blinded to the true nature of reality. The true nature of reality is what faith is part and parcel to. Spirituality is about this faith, in God. Religion is about hope for man (of which there exists none apart from Humanity's parallelity with GOD). The various multitude of religions, denominations, what have you, which reside within the Earth are mankind's attempt to come up with some sort of conception of God. Though they have all tried, all have failed, as while some good has come of them the net product of their operation has been the inciting of war and division divisivness amond the human race. Just look at the state of the world, its a mess. And it has been this way since the beginnings, though not the way God intended it to be. ALL religions fall short of encompassing God's true nature because they all try to meet God. (Tower of Babel anyone?) God is not meant to be met but followed. And so, as long as this journey to ''meet'' God continues, the relationship between humanity and God will always remain asymptotic. Because of the fallible nature of humans, one human being can tell another human being who they ''believe'' God is, but they can never tell who god ''actually'' is. Never let any person tell you who God is, and I am not trying to tell anyone who he is either. Don't just follow people, make your own decisions and have faith in your intuitions, so long as it adheres to the principles of morality and righteousness. Love one another and even your enemy just like Jesus said. You may not be able to ''sympathize'' with someone but you can ''empathize'' with them. There is no sense in hate. Spirituality is the true gift that God has given us among many others, but religion is the way by which we have chosen to build parameters around that Spirituality, based on what we ''think'' God was trying to say. To an extent that is okay, but And who are any of us to put parameters on that which GOD creates. Who are we to put limits on God? For he is infinite, and we must have faith in that fact. Faith is a supernatural gift of God which enables us to believe whatever God has revealed without doubting.

Religions were invented by man. Satan used religion as a way to distract the masses and stop them from having a personal relationship with God.

Born again Christianity is of God and is spiritual and real, not classed as a religion like all these others that spring up, like restaurants that appear all the time.

A bible church is important. Fellowship with other Christians is important - being around spiritual family, and you really feel amazing when all joining together each Sunday. It helps you to focus and grow, as you learn more about God with supportive people around you.

It's important to study the scriptures for yourself, and not rely on what someone tells you. Pastors are there for guidance but you should always read everything yourself.
Just to add to what I said here...

God gave us help in identifying which religion goes against his word. He said "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1) - so we need to compare what our church teaches with the bible. Then we will be able to identify which ones are the false prophets.

The problem is that so many people say they're Christian, but there is only one way to follow Christ. There are a lot of counterfeits and people turn to the wrong place. Imagine that - Satan hiding behind a "Christian" church. It is happening. People have no idea, but they need to compare their church teachings with the bible, for the false prophets will be exposed by their false doctrines and laws.

I agree. There is only one way. Gods way. The ways of men lead to the bottomless pit. (I believe that passage is located somewhere in proverbs though I cannot remember where). We should trust in God with all our hearts, and he will show us which paths to take, which ones to avoid, and which ones to create.

Amen

Personally, I like the idea of religion, more than organized religion itself.

Proverbs 14:12: "There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death"

By the way, (BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 100 versions and 50 languages.) allows you to type in a keyword and will give you all scripture relating to that word.

isn't it hypocritical that the only way to heaven is going to church? Will a good person go to hell just because he didn't went to church?

I rarely go to church but still i am a believer , because God is everywhere , God sees and hears everything. So why do i have to go to church?
I think being a good person is all that mathers, following the christian morals and values and believing in a higher force. So yes i am more 'spiritual'

Um, yeah, actually. You can be the most charitable, kind hearted man in the world; but that won't get you into Heaven. Living for God will.

You know, that is a very powerful thing to consider.

I have seen the ends of the ways of men, and they surely are death. I have seen the good of men swallowed up by greed and lust and pride. Their good deeds are worthless done outside of Jesus Christ.

Every word of Jesus is life, so that means that anyone who does not abide in his word, abide in death.

EVERYTHING HE SAID!

Things like, ''Take no thought for your life,'' or, FOR EVERYONE THAT BELIEVES ON HIM!!

It is a narrow road for a reason. And it is a broad road for a reason.

You see, what men call charity in my country, is wickedness. Because of the condition of this nation, the charity of men, which was defined by them, is growing cold. Many people who thought they were good when they had their riches, are proven to be as thieves, to maintain them.

The love of many grow cold, because it is not the love of God. We know the Love of God was in Christ Jesus. It wasn't in you, nor in me. But he shed abroad his love in our hearts, so that we would know him. For love he died on that cross, and to justify us, he rose again.

The difference between Spiritual and Religious, is that religions of men still are full of the cares of this world. Money is their riches, and brick walls are their churches. But we are of a church without walls, and we live for eternal riches, where thieves can't steal, moths can't eat, and rust can't corrode.

Religions of men are of the world and of the devil. And I have seen the end of that also. Death.

ETERNAL LIFE IS BY JESUS CHRIST ALONE.

Amen!

May Jesus bless you.

You're right, Kevin, it's incorrect for anyone to say that the only way to heaven is by going to church, because the church can't save anyone; only Jesus can.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". (John 14:6)

Being a "good person" isn't enough (ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God). It also isn't enough to follow Christian morals, or believe in a "higher force". You HAVE to go through Jesus, and His arms are open wide.

As others have mentioned, good deeds outside of Christ aren't enough, because the Bible says that our human righteousness (good deeds) are as filthy rags. That's why we need to accept the righteousness of Christ as our only ticket to eternal life. He loves you, and if you haven't already done so, then you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. His death on the cross took the punishment for EVERYONES' sin, yours and mine included, and accepting that fact is the only way to true righteousness.

If all of that sounds far-fetched and unbelievable, then please ask God if it's really true, because he will reveal the truth to you if seek it with an open heart. Because He really does love you, and He wants you to find truth and eternal life with Him.

If I read too much into your post, and you have indeed accepted Jesus as your Savior, then please forgive me for being so presumptuous that you haven't. But, you only mentioned that you believe in a "higher power", and that isn't enough. You have to believe in Jesus, and His power to save you from your sins. Because salvation ONLY comes through Him. Love, Nichole
