Another proof of the conspiracy against cats:

Science Confirms It: Cats Don’t Love Us
By Allison P. Davis

People really love their cats. They’re friends to the friendless, four-legged furry pillows of comfort. We’ve all been suspicious that they maybe don’t like us, but we ignore those thoughts and love them anyway. Well, science now confirms what we’ve always known in our hearts to be true: Cats are loners, rebels, the James Deans of pets — frosty, unemotional little jerks who are just going to ignore you.
A new study from the University of Tokyo found that when researchers played voice recordings of a cat’s name being called by its owner, the feline subject displayed recognition, i.e., reacting to the familiar voice by “moving their heads and ears to locate the sound,” but then remained totally unresponsive — they didn’t meow or move toward the voice or anything. They just sat there, withholding love.
The study, published in the journal of Animal Cognition, reasons that cats haven’t been domesticated to respond to human command. But we know the heartbreaking truth: Love your cat, love it well, but never expect it to really care about you unless you put it on one of those weird harness leashes and force it to be more like a dog.

https://www.thecut.com/2013/12/science-confirms-it-cats-dont-love-us.html
The reason I know this isn't true is because I have trained all of our cats to come to me when I call them. The problem is people don’t understand a cat has to think for about 10 or more seconds about who and why someone is calling out its name. Cats are cautious. They usually won't take a step forward unless they know they have safe footing. Cats aren’t careless like dogs, whereas most dogs will walk right into any situation without thinking when someone calls them.

But a cat contemplates: “Is that my owner calling me? Or is that the annoying neighbor? Is it dinnertime? Is someone trying to trick me into going to the vet again? Or are they inviting me to go outside to play?”

But people are impatient and when the cat doesn’t come three or four seconds after they yell its name, they continue to call, “Here, kitty, kitty, kitty… Here, kitty, kitty, kitty… Here, kitty, kitty, kitty… Here, kitty, kitty, kitty…” over and over like a broken record.

That cat usually won’t come until he/she has decided you’re finished yelling its name over & over like an idiot. :sneaky:

The trick is to wait at least 10 seconds after you call your kitty cat. He/she will eventually come to you. Because a cat is very curious. When the cat does, you reward it. After several times of rewarding kitty for obeying your call, it will eventually know to run to you on command because you have proven you are trustworthy. And when a cat trusts you, they are free to love you.

Here's a video that clearly shows this kitty cat loves this little boy. :giggle::love::D

Just as long as affection and love are the most frequent rewards. When Roy Horn had a heart attack on stage his cat was the first to notice. She bit him on the shoulder like he was a big kitty and tried to keep him safe. Unfortunately Roy is a man and she accidentally severed a Jugular vein. She didn't know human anatomy but her instinct tried to protect him, for love not treats.

Roy Horn as in Ziegfried & Roy. 1552067330164.png He was the Second Roy. A former circus cat trainer and cousin to the original Roy. They looked alike but Roy #2 was straight. My daughter was his care giver in Vegas after the accident.

This video is dedicated to "scientists" who say cats don't love us. This cat risked its own life to save a child from a vicious dog.

I recently read about this theory that cats aren't actually native to this planet. They were brought here by aliens thousands of years ago. And I guess this is suppose to explain why the ancient Egyptians worshipped them....because they were literally a gift from the "gods" aka aliens.

I don't know about any of that, but I do love this picture which is relevant to what I just said.

There is no such thing as aliens......they are the fallen and their demonic hybrid offspring whose souls have no place to go because God didn't create them....
( you can't return to God if you didn't come from him)
They are all condemned that is why in the OT he said slay them all every man woman and child!....Think about it,it wasn't a property dispute they just simply weren't supposed to be here.
How many telescopes trained on outer space and never once are they seen or captured coming here....
They launch from the unseen headquarters of the prince of the air!😀

Thanks, Stranger36147. for providing us with one more piece of evidence of the conspiracy against cats. Here the cartoonist depicts the dog as selfless and the cat as selfish ("who will open the sardine can for me"). There is a global plan to harm cats' reputation and ultimately to do away with them.

Why do so many people hate cats? I "learned" in elementary school that cats love our homes, not us, and the defamation campaign continues to this day. Even "science" tries to "prove" that cats are concerned only about themselves and that they don't really care about us. What is the truth about cats?
It is because dogs are more loyal, and care about their masters more, and will defend their master if they are attacked to the bitter end, even giving up their lives, and are more playful, and loving, but of course dogs are more tougher, and stronger then a cat, so they would not fear like a cat, but I believe they were made for that purpose.

It is obvious that it is the way that dogs are made that God made them that way, and they say a dog is a person's best friend, and most dogs would run for their lives if attacked by a lion, or such strong animal, but if it is their master that is attacked they will fight not caring about their lives.

And you can leave the house for 5 minutes, and come back, and the dog will be glad to see you as if they have not seen you in a year, and you can tell which one loves you the most, and is loyal, for lock your wife in the closet, and then your lock your dog in the closet, and let them out after an hour, and see which one is the happiest to see you, lol.

A man robs a house the cat will lay there and will do nothing with the attitude take it all, but leave me alone, which we cannot fault the cat for the way God made the cat.

But I would not be against a cat for they are great pets too, for they are clean, and quiet, do not make as much of a ruckus as a dog, and the low keyness of them makes them a delight.

And it depends on how you treat the cat of how they will respond to you, and some will even act close to a dog if treated right, which there is 3 cats at my house, and when I get up in the morning, and go to the basement they all go down there and cling by me.

But there is also 2 dogs at the house, and a dog and a cat are the 2 best pets to have, and we cannot fault the cat if they do not appear as loyal, and playful, as a dog, for that is the way they are made, but they are still a great pet.

Now on the other hand it is those fish that I think are not great pets, but only for watching them, and the variety of them, for I took a fish out of the tank to play fetch, and it did not work out so good, lol.

Dogs are obviously made to be a companion to people that is beyond other animals, but cats were made that way too but not as much as a dog.

It was a misunderstanding concerning my sister's boyfriend that he called the police on her, but he got arrested for domestic violence, although there was no violence involved, but they wanted to nail him because of his past criminal activities, and when the police officer was patting him down his dog attacked the police officer.

But the cat would not do that.

If you want your house to be clean, and not noisy, and a little attention from a pet, get a cat.

But if you want to play hard, and a pet to stick closer to you than a brother, and to save your life if it comes to that, get a dog.

I have been attacked by dogs, but never a cat, and the dogs that attacked me were all German Shepherds, and as a kid I would run, but now I go toe to toe, blow for blow with them, for I am not letting a dog kick my butt, lol.

Cats are cool I do not care what people say, but the dog edges them out, for they would have to according to the way the dog acts with it's master.

But dogs can get on a person's nerves for those that like a quiet lifestyle, like the elderly, without too much fuss, and bother, so a cat suits them better, or a small dog.

There is a plus and negative for both pets, and not everybody would want a dog, and not everybody would want a cat.

Well I believe that even though the book of Enoch isn't canonically approved, It contains so much information that agrees with scripture and logically fills in the gaps of undaubed walls or hedges as Ezekiel might say that it testifies to suspected conclusions that are logical background to what even the apostles confirm in the NT gospel but don't go into detailed explanation of.
I believe Enoch logically existed during the time of Genesis 6:4 and was obviously Gods favored appointed prophetic priest of the time. So....if all evidence leads to a suspected conclusion that the BOE is authentically accurate and more likely credible than not then it aides in significantly removing a lot of grey areas of speculations. Honestly I can't forsee or imagine a more logical explanation for things than the context content that it conveys to the reader. So.....I know a lot of people may have strong non canonical opposition to it and want to attack it or scream scriptural heresy.....but.....ya know ......I have to ask what are their evidentual arguements against the viability of its contextual contents and what supporting scriptures do they point to substantiate their discreditation ? IMHO I think one has to approach it with an unbiased consideration of the pontentiallity for added value....but if it's considered with nothing more than contempt prior to investigation ( the principle seed of ignorance ) then there is no real significant benefit to be derived.
So....there became a point in my own life that I accepted a concept that the correct way H.O.W. to approach anything was with....
H.onesty
O.pen mindedness.....and
W.illingness
And prayer and faith that the Good Lord takes care of the rest if it be his will.
Praise God! Father knows best!😀

So.....lastly I believe scripture gives credibility to points of contention....that the Apostles or at least....Paul whom most hold with high regard and esteem give us credible justification to conclude specific facts.
1. Enoch was a known established Prophetic Preist of God.
2. That a scripturally prophetic book was indeed written and attributed to him by Paul.
3. That Paul deemed it credible to reference as a supporting authority to his own authored statements.
4. We know Paul to be a serious advocate for scriptural law prior to Christ converting him.
5. So in final conclusion IMHO opinion.....Paul being the honorable loyal dedicated servant and agent of the truth. Why would he reference us to a text to substantiate the credibility of his own word if that works was not accepted as from God, Authentic, accepted as such in the time of Paul.....for him to do so would be completely illogical.
7. Which leaves us only with a need or responsibilty to attempt to determine if the represented work we have available today....can be established as correct representation of the subject of Pauls reference. To which I am sure facts and opinions vary widely. 😀

Just trying to provide more comic relief to this thread. In actual fact, I'm a big lover of cats. Dogs are okay, but personally, I've always been more of a cat person. :)

The "conspiracy" against cats has nothing to do with doing away with them …
rather the humour about cats is our observation that cats are independent and lovingly peculiar; different in so many ways to dogs
and other pets.
We love our cats because they still have that appealing mixture of wild and tame in them: of our households and yet capable
of self sufficiency - survival.
Whereas dogs will starve and are totally dependent on humans to rescue them (Disney movies about special dogs exempted).

God created dogs as reminders of ourselves - pack animals needing social company, noble at times and hard working but can also
be dirty and unclean. Dogs were created to serve and be with us humans.
Cats on the other hand are utilitarian and became useful in ridding granaries of rodents. Cats were generally not hand fed and nurtured in the way people did so with dogs. Cats were on the periphery of human towns, and fed themselves on rodents and scraps.

Even today my tabby female cat, Mitzy, who enjoys tinned 'Whiskas' sometimes, still brings back into the house large rats, mice, lizards, and is often seen munching out on large moths.

Thankyou Lord Jesus for cats and for dogs (and our other pets).

Well ....maybe I got my authors mixed up and wrongly made attributation.
Well ....my mistake but in a round about way Peter2 shares the references to the saints and Jude is considered the half brother of Christ.

My cat was a loyal and obedient dog. I did not train her, she trained herself. She would not jump on furniture or counter tops. She would sit outside our bedroom, which had an angled door, because my husband didn't want her in there. (He was very good to her, and her main care taker after I got much sicker in 2015. She did not eat any kind of living animals, she was avvegetarian. I fed her commercial cat food, she wasn't happy till I got the protein count low, which is not supposed to be good for cats. The vet said she was healthy, and it worked!

She was quiet and undemanding, just wanting her 4 hugs a day, (that's the minimum!) and a quiet place to sleep where the toddler grandchildren couldn't find her.

She wasn't keen on traveling, but she went in many long adventures with us! She saw the Grand Canyon, Glacier national park, enjoyed the beaches of California and the west coast of Vancouver Island. She would sit in our truck up front with us, and when she needed to use her litter box in the box of the truck, she would tell us with a sharp meow.

She was easy going, and so special. She died 2 years ago this month, of cancer. I miss her every day. I haven't been able to get a new cat, because she is irreplaceable.

I have always loved cats and been a cat person. My daughter has 2 dogs, (because her husband is allergic to cats) an English Springer Spaniel and a chocolate cocker spaniel,, I have really appreciate them since her my grandson was born. The female has been nuzzling the baby when he cries since he was born Dec. 20. The male babysits, licks and plays with him. They know not to touch his face.

Anyway, just to say all animals are God's creatures! But take care of a pet, as God commands, if you want one!!

Cats are better than dogs. The end.
I realized early in our marriage that you are not really a dog person. I love our two puddies Tango and Sugar though. They are sweet affectionate little creatures and provide constant amusement. You are sweet, affectionate, and amusing as well.
