I used to drink raw milk but then the milk changed and got a bug in it. I was sick three times before realizing what was causing my illness. We still buy the milk but only use it in cultured products like yogurt it is fine in those.
Raw milk is fine as long as very good hygiene is practiced.

So you don't drink any milk? Not even in your food?
Lol we never grow up. Nor has my cat. She has to have her milk each morning.

Too much sugar in milk. The only thing in milk that is good is fat. Thats why I eat butter.

It would be good sugar due to it being natural. You still have milk then but is just made into something.

Yup, the pyramid honey conspiracy and now the milk conspiracy. This truly is a land flowing with milk and honey conspiracies.

You could say we have a honey of a conspiracy here.

Okay, I'll stop. Don't want to milk this one too long. Everyone will start buzzing about what a comedy cow I am.

Your liver doesn't know the difference. Sugar is sugar. Sugar spikes insulin, excessive insulin makes you fat.

But I don't drink it to excess so unlikely to get fat. Everyone needs some sugar in their diet. Soft drinks and juice is worse and will definitely put fat on if drunk in excess.

Sorry, i lost (=forgot) abt this thread and found it only now... One thing i noticed yrs ago when i still breastfed was that many infants' milk are a bit more sweet. and we were told even the babies were being conditioned or used to taking sweet stuff when the mothers' milk was mixed just right. Once i saw an aunt adding sugar to a child's milk and i thot... did she have to? I like fresh milk as is, but i also know people who would add sugar to it.

We milk our own cows. Then we can have raw milk and still be assured of the cleanliness of the facility and the health of the animals. :)

Here in Virginia, it is illegal to buy and sell raw milk. Some people are doing fractional ownership of cows to get around the law.

I'm in Minnesota where it is legal as long as you do not advertise it, and so long as the people come to your farm and get it. However North Dakota they buy shares in the cow, like you are talking about.
