I ADVICE EVERYONE NOT TO SPEAK IN TONGUES.....ITS A LAW IN THE BIBLE.

And this is the reason why its a law not to speak in tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Read the whole chapter to get a better understanding.

When one is speaking in tongues and a spirit is in him, that's not the holy spirit. That's a demonic entity.
When the minister or pastor or whoever speaks in tongues in church nobody knows what he's saying.
But he is actually conjuring up demons. He might know what he's doing but in most cases they don't. If he translated what he was saying into English you'd be shocked.
Even god is saying let thier be an interpreter.
Don't be deceived.

Oh boy. Obviously I highly disagree with this. That scripture is if someone is speaking out in the church for all to hear...the Holy Spirit speaking through them to the church, then someone needs to interpret. There is another kind of tongues, take this scripture into consideration...
1 Corinthians 14:2 - For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

That clearly states some important things 1. that its an UNKNOWN tongue, no man understands. 2. It is the Holy Spirit speaking through a person to God.
Its like if we are praying for someone and we don't know all about a persons situation God does and He can speak through us by the Holy Spirit as we pray. This scripture sums that up:

Romans 8:26[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]In the book of Acts when Peter was preaching it says the Holy Ghost fell on the people who heard the Word and the Jewish people were astonished because the Gentiles had received the gift of the Holy Ghost as well...and how did they know they received that gift?
[/FONT][SUP]
Acts 10 [/SUP]While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.[SUP]45 [/SUP]And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[SUP]46 [/SUP]For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

God doesn't change he gave the gift of speaking in tongues to the apostles and he gives it to us today.

You are misunderstanding the scriptures.
In 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God:

Just simply means god can understand what you are saying in any language. You will understand that when you use the precepts.

Precept. 1 Corinthians 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Romans 8:26 has nothing to do with speaking in tongues. Peter is just talking about the difference of the spirit and the flesh.

Acts 10:45 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Ten answered Peter,

People take this scripture out of its context. To speak in tongues just simply means to speak another language.
The centurion and the other gentiles all ready believed in god and christ. But when Peter started telling them about christ of course they were magnifying.

Then they were glorifying god in their own language then peter baptized them

Theirs nowhere in the bible that says if you have the holy ghost you speak in tongues. hat's a demonic deception. The holy ghost is the spirit of belief.

Next time you see the person talking in tongues tell him to reside it in english.
If he says he doesn't know the meaning then obviously hes lying

They are conjuring up demons . Why do you think people act like they are possessed .

Its a law that you understand everything they are saying in church because of that reason.

So basically you're telling me I'm conjuring up demons by speaking in tongues....hate to break it to ya but that is far from the truth. I told you I can speak in tongue and its not from demons. The first time I ever spoke in tongues it just came as I was praying, alone with God, no other influence there. There is nothing you will ever be able to say to convince me that speaking in tongues is conjuring up demons. And when you speak in tongues you don't act possessed....maybe if someone is faking it they do, which is unfortunate.

I hate to say it to you. That's not the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob your speaking to.

The god of the Hebrews only talks to prophets or shows them visions. For people like us he shows us signs through prayer.

No disrespect but the god your talking to is Lucifer himself and his angles.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Clearly you're stuck in that belief and that's sad to me. You should really be careful with those words though. Saying the gift of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues is of the devil is not the truth and hopefully you don't misguide people in that thinking. I've been walking with God since I was a kid and I know for sure that speaking in tongues is a gift from Him.
You honestly think God doesn't speak to us normal everyday people? He certainly does! I will not and have not ever prayed to satan, I pray to the God of the Bible and Him only.

How do you know if it is truly from God?What if that certain person is possessed?

Do you not have the Spirit of God? Do you not know how HE speaks to us? Do you not have the Word Of GOD, Does not the Spirit of God able to lead you to Scripture?

Sis i agree with you, and usually these debates about tongue speaking can end up filling this thread.
People need to GO BACK TO GOD and ASK instead of Concluding these things. They hold on to the traditions of men, the understanding of men, based from reasoning the scriptures and not once IN HUMILITY have they gone back to GOD, because they say, ah ""GOD GAVE US THE BIBLE, SO WE do not need to Go back to HIM""..

Knowledge Puffeth UP but LOVE EDIFIES(GOD EDIFIES for GOD IS LOVE). . .

oh and am not going to return to this thread....

God bless you all, and may you see THE SCRIPTURES the WAY HE WANTS YOU TO SEE THEM in JESUS name.

I know its from God because it talks about it in the Bible. Then before I ever received it I prayed and asked God for it, and what do you know He gave it to me one day while I was praying to Him. Also if you have felt the presence of God before that's what I feel when I pray in the Spirit. I pray in Jesus name and the devil and demons cannot stay when you speak Jesus name. I've never encountered a possessed person before but if you know they are possessed you have the ability to cast out any demons in Jesus name and they have to go. You either belong to God or you don't...I don't believe a person can have the Holy Spirit inside of them and be possessed by a demon at the same time.

I am saved by the name, Jesus Christ, that was in the late 1960's. Guess what! I have come to like to call Him by what I believe to be the closest to the name used in Hebrew, Yeshua. Now guess what again! Either name is just fine used in reverence to the Only Begotten Son of Yahweh. Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus Christ is Yeshua.. Not all the brethren who use the transliteration are so narrow minded as to believe the Hebrew to Greek to English transliteration is not correct. May Jesus Christ reside strongly in the hearts of all the family, amen.

I call on the name of Jesus when I'm praying.

God, Yahweh, does not need a vehicle to fulfill what He foretells, but it is just possible sometimes He will use one.

There is a prophecy to the Jews, "I will make you jealous of a people who is no nation." Has it occurred to anyone that the name Jesus, because it is not Hebrew or Hebrew-like infuriates many Jews? I mean it makes them jealous to the core of all those peoples, not a nation, calling upon the Messiah with a Greek name? Just a thought. Blessed be Jesus Christ, Lord, God, Father, Holy Spirit...........see Isaiah. Pele-joez-el-gibbor-abi-ad-sar-shalom - Wikipedia, the free ...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that unless you have experienced it for yourself, you will never truly understand what it is about.
Revelation can be everything for a person who is truly seeking. If they don't seek, they don't get it.

You know in a way i think I already speak in tongues just not like most people. You see God and I already have a special secret language that no one else can hear or understand. Sometimes I just lie down and let that connection between god and i be made, it's in that moment our hearts speak to each other with deep feelings. I can tell what is on his heart and he can see what is on mine, i learn so much of who he is and what he desires by this language of the hearts.

You see just as we have eyes ears and mouths so do our hearts. our hearts can see the living god, our hearts can hear his voice much better than our other senses, and our hearts have mouths that speak without any voice or words. Our hearts reveal who we truly are and it's by our hearts we can see hear and speak to god better than our mouths or thoughts
