Yes I would still believe what I believe in. God is just and it is true He does love you. How much does He love you? Historically, it is proven that Jesus did indeed die on the cross. That can't be denied. He also was raised from the dead and shown to thousands of people. That too can't be denied. Why did Jesus, who was sinless die on the cross in the first place? I think you know the answer to that one. In case you don't, to wash away our sins. You say you are a bonafied sinner for if you say you're not puts you as a liar! Since God is just, and you have sin, as well as I, and God will not allow sin in His kingdom....

Rom 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

That means any sin, which you have, must be dealt with accordingly. Just how do you plan to rectify your sins and pay the price for it knowing God will not allow you in with even one sin? What would please God enough to satisfy that need?

You said God loves you. Yes, He does love you. How much? We have a dilemma here where we have a God that loves you but He won't let you into the kingdom of heaven because you have sin. Sorry, but those are the facts! If you want to take your chances based solely on "God loves you" standpoint all alone, you will fail. That's not conjecture on my part. You will fail. That is a promise. Why?

1 Tim 2:5-6
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

You can't save yourself. If you think you can achieve heaven (if that is truly where you want to ultimately be when you die) without Jesus, you're sadly mistaken. But, if you honestly think you need no help, we won't force you. You will ultimately be living outside the presence and protection of the Holy God. As I asked you before but never answered my own question, how much does God love you?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Do you still think you can get to heaven without Jesus on your side? Without this mediator, we stand no chance. Satan, whether you like it or not, isn't messing with you because he knows you are going to hell. Why? There is only one thing Satan doesn't want you to do. More on that in a moment. Satan is OK with you loving God. If you are considerate to other people, no problem. Satan doesn't care if you even go to church regularly and tithe to boot! Helping the poor and other kind acts is permitted by Satan. So, what's the big deal, right? God likes these things so therefore if I follow the 10 commandments I get to go to heaven, right? Satan really doesn't care much about that as well. So, what's the problem?

John 3:18
He that believeth on him (Jesus) is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

There is a pile load of plenty more references to show the true love of God. Satan right now appears to me is in control of you telling you that you don't need Jesus. Whatever that information is, one thing is for sure. Satan doesn't want you to have Jesus in your life and as long as you don't want Jesus in you life, Satan's OK with that. You can do anything you want EXCEPT allow Jesus to come into your life. If you're OK with that, God himself will have you pay for your own sins. That's the whole purpose for his death on the cross so that he can pay that price for you. That's how much God loves each and every one of us. Jesus didn't die willingly on the cross, as painful as it was, for pure enjoyment. No. He did it for you.
I'm in a odd position where if I answer your questions or comment it could be viewed as me trying to attack your beliefs so I will refrain. The simple answer for me is that some of the things you say are fact, in my opinion, are not fact. I could give you some reasons why I think that but again I really don't want to overstep and have anything think I'm trying to draw people away from their beliefs.

What you're saying does not apply to me. I don't believe in the bible so trying to prove things to me through your scripture has no bearing. You'd first have to get me to believe in the bible but this isn't about me.

Hello unboundsoul,

are you just fear mongering other people? Do you think you are always right? Have you always passed all test in your school with 100 % and A? If not, I will not discuss anything what you have written.
I'm not really sure how Im "fear mongering" anyone. I am merely stating my personal opinions and asking questions I believe to be pertaining to the knowledge I seek. I work to be respectful of everyone if something I said offended you personally let me know so I can apologize for it. And no I don't always believe Im right and I have never claimed or even inferred it here. I don't know why you would ask that. However I am a straight A student although not 100% all the time...

Hello and welcome to CC!

I hope you stick around and I can see you are respectful so that's great. Keep it up!!! I am a Christian and as such I will pray for you. That's it! I"m here if you want to discuss something but I don't believe in force feeding the word of God. I can't come close to what the Holy Spirit can do in a second.

Catch you around. God Bless...
Thank you HoldingOn2013 and thank you for the prayers. I believe in one God so in my opinion the prayers all go to the same place ultimately. I'm here more to observe than get too involved as its not my faith I would have no basis to interject my opinion. If I have questions they will usually be in the form of new threads so I don't derail anyone else's. I learn a lot from true practitioners of the faith debating core issues even ancillary issues with each other. But thank you for the open door I appreciate it.

God Bless,

Romans 3
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Unboundsoul, I'm not condemning you, I'm not a hellfire and brimstone kind of person but in all love I'm just wanting you to know that there is a hell and ANYONE who rejects Jesus goes there. So please, I beg you, just ask God to reveal this truth to you.
I understand you believe that and it's not my place to say a single word other then that. I don't. I guess at the core my issue is the bible itself I'd be more inclined to agree with Christianity if someone somewhere could convince me of the bibles authenticity. No one has done so yet. I've talked with biblical scholars, pastors, priests, regular people, and no one had any solid evidence to refute the issues I have with the bible. Most people just get angry and walk away. If someone could substantially answer the questions I have in a way that is logical and factual I would be more than happy to pick up a cross and march as the bible says. Until then I will believe what is in my heart that which I have repeated asked God to reveal to me. Thank you for the care you've shown me that to me is a sacred act.

God Bless in All You Do,

There will be no hard feelings. This is not meant for me. It is meant for you. Only you can answer that question. Realistically, it makes no difference to me what you choose. If you choose to accept Christ, great. If not, sorry to hear that. The decisions you make affect you only. Not me or anybody else. If you choose no, you will wish you had when you die. That, my friend is NOT a "what if" situation. This is going to happen. The first person you will meet after you die will be Jesus. Either he has your sins you freely gave to Him on the cross before you died or you have the sins. If you have them, that's it. You have to pay the price. Jesus already paid it for me. Call it going to jail forever! Lifetime of torment. You can't change your mind then. Take that chance. I promise you it will be the worst mistake you ever made. But I see you are willing to do just that. Sometimes that's what it takes. You can't fight Him or make deals with Him. What he says goes.

Everything is fact that I have told you. You just choose not to listen to them and therefore Satan has no problem with you. When (or if) you decide to accept Jesus or considering it, Satan will jump in and try to convince you not to do it. It's not real, you don't need Him, God accepts everybody anyway, etc, etc, etc for that's what he (Satan) wants from you. Satan has got many people duped.

John 8:44-47
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Satan appears to be your boss right now based on what you told me. You're not interested in the truth. I grant you this. The Bible isn't the easiest book to understand for there are interpretation upon interpretations that can have us going in all directions but the one thing that is perfectly clear is salvation and salvation is what I would love to see you do.

Don't let Satan hold you back. Make your own mind up for a change without him this time. Put Satan on the back burner and stop listening to him for once. No, this isn't a threat. It's that he is a hindrance!

Always remember. We're all here for you. This is the most special gift you can do for yourself. Don't waste the opportunity you have.

I love that you have true convictions in what you believe that is a rare gift. And I understand where you're coming from based on what you believe. I've read several versions of the bible used Strongs concordance with the KJV and another concordance with the NIV. I understand the bible fine I just don't believe it. For me it seems like since the dawn of recorded time men have tried to box God up and bend Him to what they think is right. Usually this involved controlling a group of people while elevating one or a few individuals. Almost all religions do this be they Abrahamic or not. Sometimes it's on a grand scale look at the pope. Sometimes on a lesser scale like your local pastor, priest, rabbi, high priest, etc. And all of them claim to be right, so who really is? That's when Christians point to the bible, okay but which one? The oldest books supposedly written by Moses at the latest were written in about 300-400 BCE long after Moses was gone. So who wrote that? The New Testaments earliest fragments from Mark were written in 70 CE roughly 40 years after Jesus death. Which would make Mark conservatively mid to late 70's which was unheard of as far as life expectancy goes for the time period. Why didnt they write about Jesus in say 33 or 34 CE right after his death? If I recall 6 or the 13 letters written by Paul were not from Paul. They're many different unknown authors of the bible claiming to be apostles.

Im sorry I feel like Im ranting a bit I'll stop but these are some of my issues that are based on fact and historical research and data. No ones been able to prove to me otherwise so what would I be believing in?

As I said, We're here for you. We all would love it if you change your mind. You won't be disappointed.

Besides, just to be fair, you can't prove God exists because nobody ever sees Him. Don't answer this to me for this is not a question I'm looking for an answer to. So why do you pray to a God you can't prove that exists. If man wrote the book, are you sure there really is a God or did they make that up too?

There's nothing to debunk the Bible. How else is God to communicate with us? There are 100's (if not 1,000's) of archaeological discoveries to confirm many facts in the Bible. It's 66 different books written throughout 3,000+ years all testifying to the same God. The New testament was written within 30 years of Christ's resurrection and mentioned too many details to just write off as some story or conspiracy. The early Christians considered Him to be God way before 70AD. There are too many manuscripts all testifying to the same original copy, found throughout the region. Both the old and new testament have enough evidence to believe it. Even the supposed contradictions within the Bible have been debunked with proper study and historical evidence. The eye witnesses' testimonies are evidential, embarrassing, and authentic. Extra-biblical writings and discoveries confirm the Bible.

What don't you believe about the Bible? Does it have something to do with the transmission from God to us? Or do you just not agree with some of the writings?

Also, do you believe that you believe in the same God of Christianity or a different God?
I also saw that you mentioned that because God created you, yu don't have to worry about hell. Does that go for satan, stalin, hitler, jeffrey dahmer and others that were obviously' not perfect. They get to go to heaven too?

And don't be afraid to answer in fear of being disrespectful. We're Christians, followers of Christ, the one that got crucified. We know there's a lot of disagreement against us. Besides that, worse come to worst you offend us, and if we are true followers of Christ, we are still commanded to love you.

One of the key arguments I would use and has been used for the Bible, is the principle of embarrassment. You have that a lot of characters reveal embarrassing things about themselves that are not sugarcoated but raw and many times can be related to. As one person mentioned archaeology keeps on finding evidence that supports the Bible. Another thing the Bible is clear about when one does not accept Jesus Christ into their life and trust him, hell is where they go because they have rebelled against God and have paid the price for their sin. But if one accepts Christ into their lives, Jesus has paid the price for your sin, the wrath of God is not upon you anymore, and you have resurrected bodies and we see God face to face. I don't want anyone to go the hell, God gave the key for humanity, in Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. One might not be convinced by the arguments, which can happen but they are there and they are strong even if one thinks they are not. Besides arguments cannot save you, only Jesus can and give you a transformed life from the inside out.

Colossians 2:8-13

[SUP] [/SUP]See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[SUP][a][/SUP] of this world rather than on Christ.
[SUP] [/SUP]For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, [SUP]10 [/SUP]and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. [SUP]11 [/SUP]In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[SUP][b][/SUP] was put off when you were circumcised by[SUP][c][/SUP] Christ, [SUP]12 [/SUP]having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. [SUP]13 [/SUP]When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[SUP][d][/SUP] alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, [SUP]14 [/SUP]having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. [SUP]15 [/SUP]And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[SUP][[/SUP][SUP]e[/SUP][SUP]]

[/SUP]Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. [SUP]12 [/SUP]It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, [SUP]13 [/SUP]while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, [SUP]14 [/SUP]who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Titus 3:3-8

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. [SUP]4 [/SUP]But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, [SUP]5 [/SUP]he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, [SUP]6 [/SUP]whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, [SUP]7 [/SUP]so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. [SUP]8 [/SUP]This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

Romans 5:8

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

By the way, if you are hear seeking, you will not be banned. That can happen to people who disagree with the doctrine of Jesus Christ and those who cause disorder, false claims, or just to attack Christians negatively. So I don't want you banned.

Romans 8:14

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Romans 9:8

[SUP]8 [/SUP]In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

Galatians 3:26

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

So only through can you be a child of God, just because you were created by Him does not make one his child, it is only through faith in Christ that that happens. God bless. You can ask questions, that does not mean you are disrespectful, you are just asking questions, which are good to ask. I don't have all the answers but the Bible has many. But if you don't want the Bible or agree that the Bible is true, then you can disregard what the Bible says, but that would be a sad choice.
