Oh... that's just not true. A doctor who's studied human anatomy, has done I'm sure countless surgeries, and sees what's normal and abnormal in the healing process on a regular basis, combined with all the medical knowledge necessary to back up her understanding, i would definitely say carries an enormous amount of weight more than an unschooled person who knows nothing about anatomy and medicine in general. Yeah, that's another appeal to authority, that's perfectly valid, I might add. If you can't see that logic, there's not point in any more exchanges.

Come on Shiloah, it's obvious the 17 year old knows more than you, me, the doctor, and everyone else. You have to look at it from his self-centered point of view to understand. In other words, just accept it, because he's right and you're wrong.

I know all about logical fallacies. I took an entire college course in them (in a secular university too). :D Oh no! Another appeal to authority! How stupid of me.

Oh, my goodness. You are the type to go and play the Spaghetti Monster bollocks 'card', aren't you?

Fun tidbit about myself: When I was an atheist, I once thought to myself "Yeah, I don't believe God exists, just like I don't believe Santa exists." Then I said to myself, "Wait, that's not a valid comparision. That's not logical."

Wow! They can be turned around? Whoaaaa. So glad to hear it, Megaman. I'll be gentler in the future. :) I'll retract my kittycat claws.

Oh no, the atheists you meet that aren't here to be open minded, feel free to use your kittycat claws. Another thing about me when I was an atheist, I didn't spend my time on the internet trying to disprove the Bible to Christians. I didn't interact with Christians. I didn't care what anyone else believed or thought.

I really like this thread, so invigorating.

(Lol I had forgot how to spell invigorating, so I asked my sister. And she was like, I don't even know what that word means. I laughed. And she was like you know mom always said its okay to ask stupid questions or to say you dont know certain words. I forget that sometimes, that's a true fact. Why fake the funk and pretend you know what that person is saying lol.

A very elaborate post...

(I pronounce it alaborete not elaborate so I couldn't figure out how to spell it. I typed it phonetically into google and apparently alaborete is not a close spelling so I asked my little brother who is 12 and he ignored me. Then I asked my mom and she sounded it out just like I would... So I asked my other sister who was 12 and she spelled it correctly for me; she did...)

There is power in the name of JESUS, much power

I'm re-posting:
I was reading a quote from Pastor Greg Laurie the other day that said:
No one has ever marched across the human stage quite like Jesus Christ. He stands apart from all others. Even today we mark human time from the date of His appearance on this planet. His very name ripples with power. If you don't believe me, just say it sometime. When you're in a crowded room and people are talking, say the names of various religious leaders, gurus, or prophets-probably, you'll get little or no response. But say the name Jesus, and you will get a reaction. A hush will fall over the room. Even an atheist who says there is no God will use Jesus' name to punctuate a point or to utter profanity. Why? Because even nonbelievers know there is power in the name Jesus. Jesus is the name above all names, and that amazing name has power above all others.

Google is a wonderful thing. You can enter a word that faintly resembles the word you want, and google will provide you with the spelling. Your entry does have to at least faintly resemble the word though (lol) so google can recognize it. Just keep trying, you'll eventually get it. It always eventually finally works for me, anyway. Ha.

Yes. Isn't that something? For Someone most people don't believe in, they sure spend an awful lot of time trying to disprove His existence, or that He isn't Who He Is, don't you think? People bless or they curse Him, but if you'll notice, His name is continually on their lips, being discussed, cursed, praised, whatever. Hey! For Someone that never existed, He sure gets a lot of attention!

Some people ask "Why do atheists even bother commenting about religion and god?"

Probably because people's lives, their employment, their child's education, human rights,
politics and also a little thing we call honesty are all affected by those who prefer to
believe myths are reality and constantly attempt to spread that ignorance worldwide
through deception and sometimes even force.

I love how non-biased you are. :P Clearly most of the world is less about religion and God and more about being our own god. You don't seem to recognise this. Your 'neutral' worldview doesn't allow this understanding. Not that there is such a thing as a 'neutral' worldview.

Ha. You so right, took me a few try's to get the spelling for invigorating lol.

Correcting in your little world. You can't see how illogical of your own arguments are. Why would people bother to keep trying to give you the answer you demand when you don't see their point no matter what they say. You've presented no points.

And hey, I can obviously handle it. You obviously, however, can't handle my asking you an honest question. This really isn't an atheist vs Christian debate forum, though things are discussed. There are also those on the internet.

[h=3]1 John 5:14-15[/h][h=3]14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Power of prayer! Great vids Thank you!

[h=3]Matthew 9:18-26[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[h=3]Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman[/h][SUP]18 [/SUP]While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” [SUP]19 [/SUP]Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
[SUP]20[/SUP]Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. [SUP]21 [/SUP]She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, [SUP]24 [/SUP]he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. [SUP]25 [/SUP]After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]News of this spread through all that region.

Okay this is the Testament that Christ is the Messiah, and what is written has never been disproven, iut actually happened way back then and we did not see it.
So tell me why do the one's that do not believe, believe other reports from mankind on History, if the History of Christ is not real, and since man wrote all History, then by you all's denial of the Bible and what Christ did do while here on earth, then all History is Bogus, including Science, Man is then just lying, and nothing in the past is real.
So there is one choice either God is real, that we do not see and does love us unconditionally and not a liar, or man does not lie or change truth. Which I think we all know that man is the Liar, and that the Bible was definitely inspired the original, thus being inerrant, while all translations from the original have errors in them.
So it would take Faith as that woman that knew in herself what she had to do in order to be healed, no doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and was healed
This is what is true for all people, doubt even a smidgeon of will keep one from what ever it is that they need for life
I choose God the creator of all to be with God through Christ the one and only one that paved the way to eternal life
Giving up here what I thought I needed in order to have eternity with God the creator.
This LOVE is past understanding, in any Human wisdom.
Well good luck to all, the final choice is to either believe or not

[h=3]John 16:8-11[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]8 [/SUP]When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: [SUP]9 [/SUP]about sin, because people do not believe in me; [SUP]10 [/SUP]about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; [SUP]11 [/SUP]and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Lol look at the desperate christian finding any anecdotal case to prove miracles exist and don't mean zip.

Yep keep on squirming. See i can play this game and i can make you look worse so i'd advise you to drop it here

So I pray for your Joy, not prey as many do the latter, and hope the best for you, your mind is made up and I love you no less than God, God loves all, and is looking for us all to love each other, not interfering with anyone's free will
You do not believe and it is your free choice, I am not harmed by this, you understand what your choice is and what the possible consequence is, down deep inside you, God is wooing you, not forcing you, because GODJUSTLOVEYOU, where as many people that claim God don't, because they don't understand the full Gospel of what God did for us all, while we were still selfish and only loving those that loved us, he died for us all to change that and rose from the grave to give us all a new life of compassion towards one another, whether we agree or not
Love you deeply and as said praying for you, and please you pray for me thanks from Howard

I stand corrected. This thread is apparently about debating with atheists. In that case, I'll steal your line. "I'm merely discussing what you believe and correcting a few points. If you can't handle that then you shouldn't be on the internet."

Okay, you say there is no God, creator of all.
Please show me proof that there is no God
Also think on this in this whole vast world from the time you were born here can you know all there is to know?
And let us say to know is to have 100% of all, nothing else left to know.
Now out of the 100% how much knowledge, will you have gained how close to 100%? Be honest with yourself please.
Now I see you got a great amount of wisdom, so to give you 20% of all knowledge there is to be known 80% left over by the time you die here on earth, is this a fair assessment?
Even give yourself 30%, now out of the 80 or 70% left could their not be God, a creator of all this here and now?
