I was in Mexico last week and one lady told me I had a Brazilian accent. It was wierd, cus I only learned a few words in Portuguese in the 2 weeks I was there.
haha... I'd like to know how the brazilian accent really sounds to people who speak have english as a first language..hehe..and I think if that Lady hear me speaking she would never say you have a brazilian accent... :p

God Bless you

I love all kinds of accents. I personally have your typical, Midwestern U.S. "non-accent". My parents and extended family are from the southern U.S., and so they have accents. But my dad was in the military, so we lived in Nebraska for 7 and a half years, and I acquired my accent from there. Really, though, I like any accent. I find them interesting, and fun to listen to. :)

I voted for Southern.

But only because New Zealand wasn't a response! Ever since watching "Flight of the Conchords," I've loved New Zealand accents.

On one episode of Flight of the Conchords, Jemaine dates an Australian and his friends are like, "What's her accent like?" And Jemaine responds, "Kind of like an evil version of our accent." LOL

I used to really hate African accents

Then I saw some African movies - Blood Diamond, Power of One, Nowhere in Africa, and I just can't get enough of Afrikaans accents now.

You know what, I reckon even Australia has a few different accents. To me, people in Adelaide sound a bit Kiwi, and people from Western Australia use alot of words that I've never even heard before.

NOOOOOO Adelaidians do NOT sound like Kiwi's lol.... I love kiwi's really, but I can't stand the accent! It is about the only one that I really find annoying (*hugs* to the kiwi's here, it's not you... it's your pronunciations!). Us Adeladians are more refined :) (Think: Ca(h)stle, School (not Skewl), Da(h)nce) - when I was in England, they couldn't tell I was Aussie, they thought all Aussies sound like those on Home & Away and Neighbours lol, they told me I had a non-accent!! If you put me together with my cousin and our mother's side of the family (who are from England) we start to sound a little 'pommy'

I love Irish and Scottish accents too.. and French, Italian and Spanish - any that are melodic really!

I like the Yorkshire accent because that's where I'm from. I don't mind most regional accents but I detest the affected southern twang students put on.
