Ezekiel 37:16-22 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
fulfilled.
Amen.

Yay! somebody finally said it. Also, while we're here, let's not forget Israel and Judah were joined together too... into One New Man. Hooray! Praise GOD!
doesn't it make you wonder why some don't rejoice in this Good News?
curious, isn't it?

After over 2,000 years of this, this movement is the first I have seen that is trying to pull things toward the unity God asks for. Jews are joining and accept Christ as their savior. Gentiles are taking God principles seriously along with Christ.
uh...no.
the facts on the ground are that jews are NOT "joining" via the Hebrew Roots Movement.
they're puzzled and offended by it (since it's gentiles playing dress-up).

"gentiles" are taking things "seriously" now (after 2000 years)?
by blowing shofars and casting bread on water and lighting shabbat candles and listening to Talmudic Rabbis?

right.
jews aren't "joining" the HR movement - gentiles are leaving Christianity for Judaism.

if that's what you want, go for it.
Paul cursed it.

Gentiles playing dress up? That is cute, but scoffish.

If people wish to be more like the believers at the time Jesus walked His earth and shortly after He ascended. What is that to you?

There are many customs and traditions of man in all the theologies of Christians, and no one is making cute remarks about them.

Most here just want to share the Word. Praise God, read His Word and believe Him. He is worthy, we certainly are not, and in not being the worthy ones, casting stones, ridicule, scoffing in the form of base humor and cartoons has no real place in the fellowship that should be being generated from the hearts and souls of the folks who people this forum......

I know there is a kind of church where people sit around and laugh and giggle, but I believe that is not taught anywhere in the Word. Correct me if I am in error about the giggle church..

Good night from Spain. God bless all who seek to please our Father in Yeshua, amen...

Romans 11:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Romans 11:7-11 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP]What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
[SUP]8 [/SUP](According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

According to the history of the Jewish Race for the last 2,000 years, there are millions and millions of people who haven't caught on to this. Haven't you been reading this post? This movement is accepting that absolutely terrible thing "Judaism". Not the deny Jesus part, not the rituals for salvation part, not denying any word of the NT, but allowing rituals in their worship, to not separate themselves sufficiently. Posters are saying that any uniting is making them a cult.
haven't you been reading these posts (by JEWS converted to Christ) who are warning that gentiles are fooling around with the ministry of death and are departing Christianity for Judaism?

do us all a favor and find out what Judaism is...please?

A key paragraph...
The Old Testament (or Torah) is not the greater revelation, nor does the OT shine light on the NT, the NT opens and reveals the OT and shows what the symbols and shadows really meant. The DEEPER things of God are found in the NT, not the OT, because Christ is revealed in all of his glory in the NT. We are rooted, all of us, in CHRIST and while the OT is filled with the glory of the Lord, the NT opens up and reveals His glory in splendor and shows us that intimacy with Christ comes through his sacrifice which surpasses all that went before. Emphasis on the Torah over the NT is emphasizing that which could not save. The Holy Spirit given to all those who are in Christ Jesus, gives us understanding and leads us into all truth, not the Torah.
the opening paragraph is something i've been considering lately.
in a different way:

The Influence of the Hebrew Roots movement (HRM) has grown by leaps and bounds over the last century in America. It's impact in this end time is being felt in all areas of Christendom of those who call Jesus Lord. For those who are Born of the Spirit, if they are bereans and study the scriptures comparing this movement with the Gospel given to the NT church, they would see bright flashing danger signs. Sad to say, many are being deceived.

1 Corinthians 11:19
for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.

how can ppl be so careless about Paul's CURSING of the men who bring us the judaized "gospel"; loving instead tzitzit and feast days.....i dunno.

scriptures says after the 3rd to.....hmm....

It's cute, a little scoffish but true.
Besides, how does playing 'dress up' make believers today more like 'believers in the time of Jesus'?

more like them in what way?
wearing robes and sandals?

being burned alive or crucified?

living on a commune in Israel isn't how the israelites lived 2000 years ago.

this is all so religiously PRETENTIOUS.

My hunch is romanticism of the 'good Ol days' in the face of a church today drowning in commercialism...apparently the Gospel is of minor import.

I have a wonderful praise report to post, but I saw this, and it is proper to address it. Did I say dress up? Do you think I am rabbinical? The rabbinicals are the ones who wear kepas, tzit-tzit, and whatever else, and if they wish to, that is their burden, but do not put that one me.
You may worship as you are given, and I believe I may also. I do not come here declaring people must do as I do or even as I say, but when people sound that way to me, I speak.
Now, my always bottom line is to worship and believe Yeshua. To read His Word.
As for rabbincal teachings, this is exactly what Yeshua did not like about the scribes and the Pharisees who dreamed up heavy burdens for the faithful while they would not lift a finger to move themselves. And so goes theologies..........many today are doing exactly what they were doing the first advent of our Lord.
Read any of my posts carefully, I may share what I do, and what I believe, but I sure do not tell people they must be like I, that would be rabbinical or like many so-called teachers today. God bless you. Read and believe the Word, and worship God, amen.

If it is offensive to Jews, do you believe this gives you the authority or right to be offensive to them? Do not think in your heart you will return the same evil on the one who has wronged you, at least in you imagination. Why not let others be? If you have a message of love, faith and hope, by all means please share it, pass it on, but ridicule is not becoming any believer. Also, do not infer in any manner that I am rabbinical to any degree. It is hardly rabbinical to call Yeshua by the name I feel closest to what He was called by His family and the Twelve. I indicate this because I suspect that may be next, thus it is nipped. I would like all, including you, to be great in the Kingdom.

Forgive me if this link was already posted earlier. One page on the The Dangers of Hebrew Roots Movement/Messianic Judaism
We know the organized church is solidly against the movement. My doctor of theology pastor tells me to be careful of too much involvement with the OT. He refuses to help me think and pray it through.

I searched for a headquarters and could find none, it seems to be more an idea of including God the Father more closely in worship than most other church denominations do, and the idea of gentile and Jew as one under Christ. I have gone to the website of many of them to explore their beliefs and I have found none who are not Christian, or who say it is through rituals we are saved. Most use rituals in their worship. All study the OT principles that God gives there and none that I have explored exclude those principles as they are followed and completed in the NT. The only way I have read of the rituals used is in reverence of God, and always Christ is included as Christ forgives their sin, the rituals don't.

The church could be difficult for a Baptist, Methodist, etc. because they would want to go to church on Sunday and that church would be on Saturday. They would want Easter Service, and that service celebrating the resurrection would be a Seder on a different date. They would want to sit quietly in their pew and listen, and the service would have member involvement.

But for most of the services, just as Paul explained in Galatians, the gospel and Christ is what it comes down to, and that is what this church comes down to, too.

it was no comment on what you wear (i don't even know, of no importance), it was a comment on what I have seen of Gentiles trying to dress up like old time Jews with 20th century trinkets. I was just asking 'how does that add to one being a believer.?'

We're called to be in the Light as He is in the Light. Pretending to be something we are not isn't exactly doing that.

There are many customs and traditions of man in all the theologies of Christians, and no one is making cute remarks about them.
Certain things are funny that the super religious do. You don't think that the popes giant hat is a little bit funny? Come on... Just a little bit??

You must think something is funny. Don't you ever laugh? or do you wait until your allotted time and in your allotted place? That's causing me to chuckle a little just thinking about you in your laughing room...
Most here just want to share the Word. Praise God, read His Word and believe Him. I laugh in church sometimes. I laugh at work sometimes. I laugh at home sometimes.

I don't think it is a bad thing. Try it out. See if you like it. Take it easy though, don't overdo it your first time... lol
