The gift of God is eternal life.
The wages of sin is death.
Do you have any scripture that says the wages of sin is eternal life in some flame?
If the wages of sin is death,,,, dont you see that to claim the wages of sin is eternal life in some flame is a complete contradiction?
How is it,, you get eternal life,, from,,,,"..the wages of sin is death"?????

You still love to quarrel which is the bible has warned us about. I take no part of your nonsense, in Jesus name !!. Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What I understand from Romans chapter 6 is the person who doesn't receive the gift of God (i.e. having faith in Jesus Christ) will receive the wages/payment of sin. First of all, whether it is a flame or not, I did post my answer in post #130.
If you see in verse 20-21, apostle Paul explains that since we were slaves to sin, then the outcome is death. In verse 22, it's said: "But NOW, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end, everlasting life."
So the context there can't be physical death, since all men die (physically), including those who believe in Christ.

The point is,, you believe in a God that has an Eternal Torture Chamber where he keeps the wicked alive so that they can feel pain and misery for Billions upon Billions of years,,,,all because of a few years of sinful living. And you call your God Just and fair,, right?
But,, if a Country tortures it's Citizens,,, there would be international condemnation, talk of military intervention, economic sanctions....
But when your God does it,,, you say nothing? Shhhhhhhh....silence................................
do you worship God because you fear retribution in the form of torture?

I don't need to give you scriptures to prove that you go to hell, not spiritually disappear from existence once you experience the second death. Spirits don't die into nonexistence (Ecclesiastes 12:7). But if you insist I'll throw in some verses about hell...
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelations 20:14-15

I am so sick and tired of hearing the same faulty argument of "The dead know nothing". That is such poor exegesis.
That scripture first of all comes from the Old Testament. The New testament clearly shows the dead do know something! So how can this be?
The book of Ecclesiastes is referred to as "a secular book" written by King Solomon in his old age. The "soul sleepers" love to quote "the dead know nothing" and they also seem to completly ignore the book is a look at "everything under the sun"!
Ecclesiastes does not look into the afterlife at all. It is King Solomon's viewpoint on life under the sun. From this stand point a dead body clearly knows nothing of life under the sun.
Does the bible support the idea that when we die we know nothing? No, the bible clearly supports that a soul clearly lives on apart from the body.
1) Both the rich man and Lazarus died and then live in two separate compartments of Hades. (Luke 16:23)
2) The souls of the departed cry out to Jesus. (Rev. 6:9)
3) Jesus blows the Sadducees away by stating the Abraham, Issac and Jacob are still alive.
( Matt 22:31 'I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB '? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.")
The "spirit" that returns to God who gave it,, is nothing more than the Breath of Life. Read Genesis 2:7
" And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
" Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." Eccl 12:7
"The Body without the spirit is dead." James 2:26
"The spirit of God [the breath which God gave him] is in my nostrils." Job 27:3
The spirit that returns to God at death,, is nothing more than the Breath of Life.
