So yo don't ever sin?

No. I don't ever sin. How can I be so bold as to say such a thing ? you might ask. It's because the bible says I don't, and I believe the bible. IJohn 3:9: "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." AND 5:18: we know that whosever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."

The problem we're having is in the reason why you cannot sin. Of course, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) so none of us are sinless in ourselves but Jesus washes away our sins once we recieve Him and believe in Him and therefore become "born of God".

John says in the first chapter of his epistle "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." (1:8) I am not saying I have never sinned. But then John goes on to say: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So you do have to admit you're a sinner and need Jesus to save you, ask Him for forgiveness and believe in His blood sacrifice for your sins then He will cleanse you from all unrighteousness, sins, etc. and automatically impute righteousness upon you by faith. Then from then on you cannot sin because you are born of God. All glory and Praise be to Jesus not to ourselves.

You keep asking the question, "So you don't ever sin?" Well, I come right back at you, "So you're saying you do sin even after receiving Jesus and becoming born again? You don't think Jesus' blood sacrifice was good enough for you? You don't think He was faithful and just to wash away your sins once you believe in Him? Do you think you have to do something yourself to help save you? Jesus' sacrifice wasn't good enough for you? Slap Him in the face with it, will you?

Here's another couple of verses from IJohn for you: "And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him" 3:5-6

If you think you still sin even after receiving Jesus and being born of God, then you don't really know Jesus. The bible says so. The reason a person who is born of God is sinless and righteous is because Jesus has taken away all their sins.

May I ask what church you attend Delivery?

There seems to be many who are self deluded thinking that they are 'sinless' rather than set free from the bondage of sin. Secondly, They forget that although when we repent God is faithful to forgive and see us as white as snow through His son, we still are tied to our old nature, we battle daily with the flesh. But one day we will be totally 'sinless', either when in death or when our Lord and saviour returns. But I can honestly say that you have been defrauded with lies if you think you are without sin.

Again this all comes down to faulty reading and false teaching of Scripture.

That passage is not suggesting sinlessness or inability to sin after regeneration rather John was stating that those who are in true fellowship with God will not habitually practice sin like those whose conscience are seared. There may have been licentious people in their midst who professed to be saved by grace yet were not bearing any good fruit; such may be an indication of false conversion. However, John certainly wasn't teaching that it is impossible for Christians to sin, here's why: 1 John 2:1 - My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He knew that they could fall into sin even after conversion so he made a provision of what to do should they sin. If they sin they shouldn't be in despair as Jesus is their advocate with the Father, they should acknowledge their sin and approach the throne of grace and seek mercy for His grace is the remedy.

To those who do not sin, I"ll buy you a bible to read that it says, there is none rightous, for all have sinned ,,, and all our rightousness is as filty rags.. put on the Lord Jesus Christ a fresh daily, and that's why he is the way, truth, and light, because we do not live constantly willingly in sin, if one choose's to live for Christ, but we sin and even get angry, and it say, be angry but don't let the sun go down without repentance, guess what we are humans under his grace, mercey and love. The wonder of it like the vast galaxies, is that we don't stay in darkness, because of Jesus, through him asking for forgiveness, as Jesus said, Father forgive them, sometimes we crucify him blindly with hate, unforgiveness, bitterness all over again..Ty for asking, just my revelation...:)

[h=3]Romans 6[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[h=3]Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ[/h]6What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? [SUP]2 [/SUP]By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?[SUP]3 [/SUP]Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?[SUP]4 [/SUP]We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.[SUP]6 [/SUP]For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
[SUP]7 [/SUP]

because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

So when are we going to recon ourselves dead to sin? it seems this is the only way to be alive to Christ is dead to sin?
Romans 6:11
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Too well put, and I see this truth to this day present, and it took many years to get to this truth as it is truth, he was manifested to take away the believers sin, and many as I was are fighting for this to be, not seeing or realizing it is not taken away, because of our flesh taught stubbornness to try to do and get pats on the back when others think we do it right.
A self will-worship that gets others noticing as if we are doing it right, or not noticed and the feeling of not belonging takes hold through one emotions, and steals, kills and destroys us.
How many of us have two faces, one to the multitude, and the other to self? And are doing there best to not have the one to self, being most miserable or are self righteous as Saul was before he changed to Paul, having no confidence in flesh, self or others. Only Confidence in The finished work of the cross, starting at crucified, self to be crucified with Christ. therefore as Paul got crucified to self the result was

  1. 1 Corinthians 1:18
[ Christ Crucified Is God’s Power and Wisdom ] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
  2. 1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
  3. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
  4. Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
  5. Galatians 6:14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

    Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

The above verses is for all that believe, the sooner one decides to be crucified to self with Christ's death at the cross, the sooner one begins to see the new life given to you by God
Re read rom 6, then 7, and then 8, slowly verse by verse and ask yourself ?'s and hear God tell you in your new Heart that God has put there the first day of belief, that you might have forgotten about, but God never leaves or forsakes anyone that believes.
And by this belief, one does stop sin(s), not actually us, it is God that actually does it by God living through us, not only in us as when God was just in us , the Lamp (Christ) was hidden, and not on the Lampstand for all to see. The Lampstand is one's mind that is in the process of being renewed to see things from God's vantage point YOU are DEAD to SIN, from God and by God through the cross of Christ, made Holy by:
Colossians 1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

So please be crucified with Christ so that you can see the new life
[h=3]Philippians 3[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]All for Christ[/h]3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! [SUP]3 [/SUP]For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, [SUP]4 [/SUP]though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: [SUP]5 [/SUP]circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; [SUP]6 [/SUP]concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ [SUP]9 [/SUP]and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; [SUP]10 [/SUP]that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, [SUP]11 [/SUP]if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

How can one sin if they are dead to sin by the death of Christ on the cross, us being crucified to self flesh sin?
[h=3]Romans 6[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Dead to Sin, Alive to God[/h]6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? [SUP]2 [/SUP]Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

It continues on, to talk about being dead to flesh sin by the death of Christ, thus we can be alive through the death to self. do you not believe this truth?
As long as you do not crucify with Christ as dead to flesh you will stay alive to sin and learn of the flesh to not sin certain sins and develop self righteousness as Saul did, before he became Paul.
I know what you speak of about self-righteousness. But does this exclude God's righteousness that God manifests in the believer? So therefore we have to sin or we don't believe?
There is a problem, because those that are Christ's have
Galatians 5:24
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Those that have not yet seen this truth and that do believe are going to be exactly as this verse says, with no credit to the self since self is crucified
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Not forgiveness, because we are forgiven, rather truth as in how to not sin through trusting God, since Christ makes constant intercession for us all that have come to believe
Romans 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Rather than wade through your whole post...let me ask you a couple of questions homewardbound:

Have you even for a blink of a second had a sinful thought?

Have you even been angry for a slight second when someone cut you up on the road while driving..?

Romans 6

New King James Version (NKJV)

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? [SUP]2 [/SUP]Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

The above is what you quoted to hold your argument...however, if you take it in context.its about freedom from the bondage of sin...not sinlessness.. and that the law will not make one rightouess or have you forgot the proceeding chapters in Romans..

It is very easy just to delve into scripture and cherry pick. Actually verse 6 above is very relevant to another thread on legalism, where on guy has said he would rather be a legalist than lawless... verse 6 answers this nicely.

do you not realize and or see that
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

As long as anyone's focus is on whether they sin or not, they will sin and if they learn not to sin like giving up smoking, then there is pride and boasting and prejudice involved from and of the flesh.
We shall know these by these results that hey are of and by the flesh and has no life in them whatsoever .
If you are born again of the Spirit you are dead to flesh sin, and those that are born again, know this and have
Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

And are as Paul became, praying for all to see that this condition is all credited to God and is for the glory of God only
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Yes all have sinned and fallen away from the glory of God. Give me a scripture that says we will continuously fall away and not ever come to whole truth that sets us free from ever sinning again.
[h=3]1 John 2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

[h=3]1 John 2:9-14[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. [SUP]10 [/SUP]He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. [SUP]11 [/SUP]But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
[h=3]Their Spiritual State[/h][SUP]12 [/SUP]I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.

I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.

So when are we going to see the truth that it is all God and none of us, except the fact of believing God that we are forgiven by God back at the death, before the resurrection and that by the death if we reckon self dead with Chirst we thus might gain the resurrection as Paul describes in phil. 3
Colossians 1:22
in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

Hi homebound,

I cherish such scripture..

but you have not actually answered my post...you just wrote more of the same...

Anyhow you don't need to answer in public but ask yourself honestly..

Do you for a split second..get angry with someone when they wrong you..?

A temper when when you hit your thumb with a hammer (even for a split second..?

Glance sideways at a woman with lust even for a split second?

Now the above are just examples..there are thousands of things you can test yourself with.

However, since we have died to the flesh and Christ has set us free...from the bondage of sin, w are free indeed to fight against such sin that remains...

Very good here.

1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Sure these things have happened, in the past, and By God have Stopped, notice I said by God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry you do not understand what I write.
Never said I am sinless, for God is the only one that is, for God is the only one good and Christ through the death first and resurrection second has delivered me from death to life in him, and in the Spirit one does not sin period.
Now this is what God is trying to tell me, you and all to live in the Spirit by the resurrected Christ, yet first be dead to sin self, by the death of Christ first. then one might see the resurrection in the Spirit. Which by the way is the only way God can be served today is in the Spirit

  1. John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
  2. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
  3. John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
  4. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come
So you live in the flesh, and not be alive to God in the Spirit of God.
It is okay, God will show you if God permits just as God says so in Hebrews 6
Hebrews 6:3 And this we will do if God permits.

Most of us are still carnal as Paul talks much about in 1 Cor.

Don't you think it time to move to perfection
Hebrews 6:1 [ The Peril of Not Progressing ] Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

Now maybe if you reread Cor. and or start at Hebrews 5:10 reading through Hebrews 6
Or go to ! Cor. 3 and see the carnal warfare that God desires for us to leave behind at the death at the cross, then we can move onto perfection found in God by Christ, given to us by Father through Christ the cross that includes the resurrection
[h=3]1 Corinthians 15:16-19[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! [SUP]18 [/SUP]Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

By the resurrection is new life and the new life does not sin, it can't, as long as one stays in this new life trusting God 100% all the time. God is teaching you all this truth for those that do not want to sin that are thirsty for righteousness and hunger shall be filled in found in Matt 5
And I am thankful to God for this truth found in God and God only via the cross. It does take a great amount of work to come to the end of the energy of one's own flesh to finally see this truth and thus die to self with Christ, For I know self-effort never worked for me, and when I did come to the end of the energy of my own flesh, I saw the picket line of flesh stopping me from crossing over to God, and thus crossed over and am now safe and secure in Christ, been transferred from death of flesh to life in the Spirit of God

It is only by Christ that we are forgiven and freed from sinning again, raised by the power of God through the resurrection of God, given to us the ones that believe.
I am not boasting of self here, I am boasting of God that took away my sin and anyone else's that will put Faith in God and the finished work done by Christ, death and resurrection the doorway to new life here and now, that starts at one reckoning themselves dead to sin by the death of Christ, being co-crucified to self with
Christ. Then the resurrection of the new life is revealed and one walks in the light as he is in the light
But no one wants to die to self do they? that is what is so hard about receiving the new life you all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least this is what was truth for me and I do suspect I am not the only one

Because you fight you are not dead to the flesh self and therefore sin reins.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

I do not anymore fight and know yes it is possible to sin again in the future, for I can't predict future, and will not try to.
I will though live right now in the present, which makes this right now a present from God to me and am so busy in this present of life in the Spirit of God praising and worshipping and thanking that I am forgiven of any and all sin I could ever commit, because by the death I have been made: oh and so has anyone else that believes not just me
Colossians 1:22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—

If your flesh is dead in Christ with Christ, in belief then you are alive to God where no sin can ever occur
