Do I put my pants on. Do you. We all need the cross every day of our life. The question is, do we accept it. All men sin and fall short of the glory of God.

Why won't you answer the question, and you aswell homeward bound..Its a very simple question (I think I know why you won't answer it truthfully). It is a very simple question to answer, and does not need reems of scripture to avoid answering it nor to talk about your pants, so

Do you sin? (Kerry and Homewarbound)

We could be sinning by sitting in front of our computers too much pushing key strokes here, instead of getting to church, or getting out there in the world demonstrating our love of Christ to others by the words and deeds He gives us. Those who claim sinlessness minimize sin in my opinion. We are examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, that means to look at ourselves and see where the HS might convict us of how we aren't living according to the spirit of Christ.

Yes, not as the world. Thanks to the cross it does not affect my relationship with Him. To say I don't sin is a sin, because that would be a lie. Is there any man who does not sin, if that were so, we would not need the cross. That is why I am so thankful for the cross. My righteousness is a free gift.

Did Noah sin,did Abraham sin, did moses sin,did Gideon sin,did Sampson sin, did David sin, did Peter sin, did Paul sin. What is your point and why do you disagree with the cross.

If I can help Homeward out and with His permission. Do you know the depth of sin. We are not talking about drunkenness or adultery as most know it. When a saint like Homeward sins. These are sins that are how can I say. Maybe disobedience, for instance the Lord wants you to say something and you don't or the Lord is telling you something and you think it is just yourself. The sins that some one like homeward would commit are totally different than the sins of the world. Like getting angry over someone that persecutes you for no reason or lies about you. Perhaps you were lead by the Spirit to help this person and you did not do it. This is a totally different thing. I hope both of you understand.

Thanks Kerry for that effort in trying to sort this out.
There is only one Good and that is Father, even Christ said this and Christ did exactly as Father instructed, through the Holy Ghost(Spirit of truth).
What Spirit do we receive, after Christ's ascension? Is it the same Holy Spirit? What did Christ come to give us life in, Spirit of God or flesh?
This is what is being fought here is flesh is fighting the Spirit of God
Either one is of God in the Spirit, resurrected here and now in the Spirit and led by God through the Spirit or by self flesh that refuses to die and wants so badly to look good in front of others, being rewarded here and now with worldly items.
Such as that rich man that followed all the commandments from Birth on and could not give up his earthly riches for God.
Walked away sad, and then the Disciples were convinced that it is really hard to enter heaven so they asked Christ how is it possible for man to enter heaven, after seeing this rich man walk away sadly.
Matt 19 is the chapter
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Born again for the first time ever in History was at Pentecost, where God came to live in us each that believe personally and teach each of us the truth as he taught Saul who became Paul. And Paul wrote truth all over the place of how flesh is thew problem in being born again, and not only Paul wrote this truth either
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Yes we all sin, so not sinless. If we call sin as you are doing just some sort of naughtiness then you don't understand sin.

Let me give you an example.... Man 1 is a Christian and Man 2 is not.

Say Man 1, told a lie at work or he took a pen without permission (stealing), he is sinning.

Man 2, told a lie at work and he also took a pen without permission (stealing), he is sinning

Now you seem to say that there is a difference in that act of sin..nope there sure isn't..not in the act itself. That's why I say you don't understand sin..if you think man 1's is a different act from man 2's which is what you are saying.

can you explain please?

Yes all have sinned and might continue to after belief and might not, either way as one grows in understanding the truth the less they get angry and or lust, for they know they do not belong to this world any longer. And this is no=e credit to self ever since self is dead with Christ at the cross, the Old self that is.
[h=3]1 John 2:1[/h]King James Version (KJV)

2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

[h=3]1 John 2:12-17[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]12 [/SUP]I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Sin is sin no matter how big or small, and Christ was manifested to take away sin?????????????????? HMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is up with that???????????????????????
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Corinthians 14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
1 Corinthians 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place
2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart
2 Corinthians 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
2 Corinthians 4:11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness
Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
1 John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Hi Homewardbound,

Maybe you misunderstood my question, I am not asking what sin is, even Kerry answered it. I'll even answer it.. yes shamefully I sin.

Do you sin?

Hi Homeward,

I know exacty what you are trying to say. but can you aswer the simple question below..its very easy.

Do you sin

oh yes I have, and it is always possible to sin again and am so thankful that I have Jesus Christ the righteous as my Advocate that makes constant intercession for me and all that believe that God has accepted
You see I at first when first saved repented of my sin and sin became rampant in my life. Overwhelming as I continued to sow to flesh, trying to stop flesh from sinning. I got pretty good at it from time to time and even got proud and boastful a few times.
Finally I learned from all this self effort, that I was just fooling myself, for when I saw
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

I saw it did not matter whether I wanted to stop or not, all I had to do was think stop and what I wished to do I could not find as in Rom 7 where Paul shows us the difference between flesh and the Spirit of God that we need to be righteous, not of self but of God, being a partaker in God's righteousness, not an imitator as I was trying so hard to be an imitation of Christ.

So today I know sow to God and hide in Christ so that I might not sin against him.
Tell me can one sin while in the Spirit of God?

Hi homewardbound,

I like how you skip around the question.. so basically you are saying you have sinned (past tense), but you are sinless now..however there is a possibility that you may in the future?

Is that a fair summary of what you are saying...?

Home, the closer we get to God the more we find out just how sinful we are. Unlike super christians.

The more you see how God causes you to for sake sin, not being under Law, there is no occasion for sin to take place? Already been through that part you are talking about. I have been exceedingly sinful, never wanting it to be, and tried on my own accord asking for God's help, never attaining perfection of me trying to be right with God.
Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and by Christ's death we are
Colossians 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

So how much more will one be saved by the life and live in the Spirit where no sin occurs by God from God to you, who hide in Christ that might sin again, thank God we have Christ as our advocate who took away sin
Manifested to take away sin in you, me and all that believe, if we will be willing to die to flesh through the death of Christ, Daily so daily we can be alive to God, forsaking flesh attitudes, having our minds renewed in the Spirit of God and thus by God not sinning at least less and less. And this is never done of self, if self does then one is prideful and boastful and can't see a far off what the depth and breadth of god's love really is.
[h=3]Ephesians 3:17-19[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP]That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
[SUP]18 [/SUP]May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

It is all God and none of anyone else
1 John 4:19
We love Him because He first loved us.

Lets say Man #1 is Saul and lets say Man # 2 is David. Man # 2 is declared by God as a man after His own heart. Where is the heart of Man #1. Answer in himself. While Man #2 has is hope and trust in God. That is the only difference. David was a murderer and adulterer. Yet He was man after Gods own heart. He had a relationship with God as Saul did not.

Yes. because David had a Godly sorrow over the worldly hidden sorrow, just as the Corinthians finally came to after taking advantage of God's grace.

So would I be fair in saying homewarbound regarding your post #292 that you have sinned (past tense) and that you are sinless now..however you do add with the possibility that you may sin in the future.

Is that fair summary of what you are saying.. its a simple question BTw and doesn't need three pages of scripture to answer it.

Hi Homewardbound,

Maybe you misunderstood my question, I am not asking what sin is, even Kerry answered it. I'll even answer it.. yes shamefully I sin.

Do you sin?

I answered that, at this present moment no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, is it possible to sin yes, since we are in unredeemed bodies. So what is the solution are we called to sin or are we called to be delivered from sin?
How else other than considering oneself dead to sin daily by being co-crucified daily with Christ to the self flesh and alive daily to the Spirit of God. Now All I know is this can only be done daily as none of us can predict future or remove past.
We are to die daily to self, this world and be alive to God daily in the present, and then you might see the present a gift form God to you through the Son, Christ.

I can not do a thing about the past and am thankful to God for taking care of past sins as in being forgiven, and move on to the future in the day, present only, where all thoughts are
2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

The above can only be done in the present, Christ is out in front taking care of our tomorrow, I need not fear for perfect love of God casts out all fear and I do not accept to sin again, even though I might by my unredeemed flesh, never by my hidden man of the heart, whom I choose to follow daily
Praying you get it, and see it is all God and none of me, you or anyone else.

Hi homewardbound,

I like how you skip around the question.. so basically you are saying you have sinned (past tense), but you are sinless now..however there is a possibility that you may in the future?

Is that a fair summary of what you are saying...?

God the Father is the only one good and without sin. I do not claim to not have ever sinned ot that I will not ever again.
I claim the blood and hide in it, safe and secure, trusting God to keep from sin and have God's love manifested through out my being as In:
[h=3]1 Corinthians 13:4-13[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [SUP]5 [/SUP]does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [SUP]6 [/SUP]does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part and we prophesy in part. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

This the above is what God spreads abroad in us those that are born again, walking in the Spirit of God all the time. No sin can occur while in the Spirit of God. Is this true?
Galatians 5:16
[ Walking in the Spirit ] I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Ah right now we are actually getting somewhere..so you cannot possibly be a sinless man, past or present. I was worried that you where actually going to make out God to be a Liar...(maybe that's why you added..that there is a future possibility that you may sin?). Because you do know that those who say they have no sin make God out to be a liar... and yes Joh was talking to Christians.

Now concerning post #295, I actually find it deplorable that you view davids murdering and adultery of a lesser sort of sin than anyone else's... you obviously do not understand what sin is.. Yes I know that we are saved, and IF WE REPENT of our sins God is just to forgive. But for se unknown reason you and Kerry think that David was just a little naughty boy who was ever so slightly disobedient... why would david Killing someone be different from anyone else... now I am talking about the ACT OF SIN and not the forgiveness God gives to His own. I think what you are expounding here is dangerous and will lead many to disregard their sin and espesiaclly what sin is.

So would I be fair in saying homewarbound regarding your post #292 that you have sinned (past tense) and that you are sinless now..however you do add with the possibility that you may sin in the future.

sinless only by God from God's vantage point by Christ
Colossians 1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
This was done for us all via the cross, so that we could be first dead with Christ at the death and then made alive with God via the resurrection in the Spirit of God where God can only be worshipped today
Hoping you get it, only God can reveal this truth to you, that sets you free form all traps of this world

  1. John 4:23
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
  2. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
  3. John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
  4. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
