A true and genuine orthodox exegesis of God's Word is the standard. Not your opinion.
Galatians 5:16-26 - But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh... Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions...
How can you walk by the Spirit of God and engage in gross sexual immorality with another person or persons?
I know plenty of single celibate Christian people that cannot find a suitable mate. They do not twist God's Word to justify fornication or homosexual acts with another person. What makes you think these godly people who chose not to engage in sexual immorality won't be present at the judgment of those who did and maligned God's Word to try and justify their sin?
Maligning God's Word to justify a life spent in pursuit of sexual immorality has serious (and if not repented from eternal) consequences. When people are willing to go to such lengths that they create heresy, deceive themselves, and deceive others simply to continue engaging in sexual immorality: eventually God gives them up to it.
Romans 1:24 - Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
James 1:22 - But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
What's funny to me is that everyone of these I've ever met insist they are "good" people. Not even Jesus called Himself "good" and He was perfect! The Bible says that sinners are righteous in their own eyes and Jesus said in John 9:41, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains."
A material number of early gentile pagan converts to Christianity (that joined Jewish believers) were ex-homosexuals. You're cutting God short to assert that He cannot change you from the inside out. I know a number of ex-homosexuals that are happily married today (to members of the opposite sex).
They chose righteousness and pursued God. They didn't malign His Word to justify their sin and end up fully deceived and given over to it by God.
Enter through the narrow gate for it leads to life.
Well, there's some Christians out there who have these feelings and decide to remain celibate and never act on them as part of their devotion and commitment to Jesus.
There's also some Christians out there who have been studying the Bible extensively for 4 months and they actually opened their ears to what Jesus was telling them instead of every single relative in their family. And they found that God wishes for them to find love if they so desire.
Your opinions aren't the only ones here. I will accept you even through our differences and our opinions on something, for we are all one in Christ.
