well that is really the point;
evolutionism really only qualifies as an hypothesis for which all the observable evidence is contradictory
From where I stand CoooCaw it is only an element within the conservative Christian movement that rejects evolution, so I am not surprised you make this claim. Bryan asked why evolution is referred to by scientists as a theory if it is not an established fact. The fact is scientists see it as an established fact, that is why they call it a theory.

What about agnostic atheists?
Bryan, I am not sure that very many people call themselves agnostic atheists. A person is usually one or the other. Both those words mean something different.

If atheists don't believe in God, then why do they get mad at Him?
If atheists don't think He is real, then why do they blame him for everything?
If people can't tolerate other religious views other than their own, why do they hold to a position thats high in their own belief?
If people originated with or from monkeys, why then isn't it fully proven to be not a theory?
Why do they call it a theory, but still teach it through books and school?
I don't understand???????
no one realises this.. we can talk about anything ( talking about unbelievers, including myself when i WAS one) but soon as someone talks about God it's like the Flesh gets angry and just reacts in a bad way and can't help it, i believe that is just the flesh acting it because it wanna continue to live in the flesh instead of the spirit

If atheists do not believe in God, then why do they hang out in Christian forums?
For all sorts of reasons Dan. Personally I enjoy the debate. I've been to atheist sites but there is not much challenge when everyone agrees with you.

I know ten or more atheists, friends and family, but I am the only one that hangs out at Christian forums. None of the others seem at all interested. I know it probably doesn't seem like it, but the majority of atheists likely never involve themselves in debating Christians on-line.

Good and bad are just temporary constructs of convenience in atheism that have no ultimate meaningfulness. For what ultimate meaningfulness can good and bad have in a dead universe, void of life, where even atoms won't be able to form or hold together in the not too distant future as space expands. Fortunately, atheism is a false portrayal of reality. Nature is embedded in supernature a schema consisting of both natural and supernatural dimensions. It is because God exists that good and bad are ultimately meaningful.
Just because your car is gonna be in a junkyard one day does that mean it's useless to you now?
Atheists like myself get more out of life knowing that it's the only one they're ever gonna get.

I will pray for you, i know you don't know any better neither did i, but by faith the truth was reveal to me that's the only way to ever know the truth through faith, this life is not life it is temporary just a passing through to see who is worth enough to accept the truth, you don't even realise that you were lead to this website, your an atheist but yet your on a christian website o_O deep down inside your soul know what is the right choice for you that is why your hear but the flesh condemns it, but look at the former atheist why do you think miraculously change their mind to believe in something completely different that what they grew up with or known their entire life? it's a supernatural power, that is receive and revealed through faith atleast just have an open mind about it.. and question yourself about things, am i just existing to die? but that wouldn't make any sense why would i just be here to live a life of 50-100 years and just die? gotta be more to it, ask yourself questions like that i kept doing that and found the anwser but it was a different situation for me. atheists are atheists because they cant open their mind. they only believe what they can physically see, touch, and feel. and they like to say christians are closed minded.

they cant read anything without being critical. they read to critique, they dont read to learn.

My heart goes out to people like my neighbor who loves her husband so much, but he refuses to join the family of God and she is saved by Christ. They are elderly, and she knows they will be parted forever one of these days./QUOTE

Teachings on Marriage
14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. 15Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. 16For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

So you believe in the negative way, that Her Husband won't be in heaven with Her?

And there are plenty of atheists that would agree with you, because they thought it was condescending. I'm not one of them --- despite being an atheist, I like the fact that the Pope was trying to make peace with atheists who are trying to live moral lives. You, josh123, may think of kindness towards atheists as "an abomination", but the New Testament has a much different take on how Christians ought to treat their enemies.

For the record, I am an agnostic atheist. Agnosticism has to do with whether or not you feel that the "God question" can be answered. Being an agnostic and being an atheist are not mutually exclusive.

You ought not to stereotype atheists (or anyone, for that matter). Many atheists believe that "Christians are Christians because they can't open their mind", but being close-minded or thoughtless is not a result of religion, and it certainly isn't true of any group necessarily. Furthermore, it is foolish to argue that any group is "critical". Even within this thread, it's easy to find Christians being critical. The reason that you see more atheists in this forum "being critical" is because they disagree with more posts than you do. That belief you hold is a result of confirmation bias.

Atheism is a lack of belief in God. "Evolutionism" is a belief that evolution is true. While many atheists believe that evolution is true (because they're generally not biased against it), it is not necessarily true that atheists believe that evolution is true.

Nor is it true that all atheists are in denial (as you suggest with your small child analogy). I was a Christian for many years, and I became an atheist when I stopped denying the evidence that my prayers had no effect on the outcome of my life, and the lack of difference between my beliefs and those of all the religions that I didn't believe were true. While it's certainly true that some atheists are in denial, you ought to be careful about stereotyping a group. If you wouldn't like it when it's done to Christians, then you ought not to be doing it yourself.

its not a stereotype. its a fact. and its actually written even in the Bible, also. not worded the same, but ill leave it the way its worded to God.

and i dont consider christianity a religion at all. i see it more as a way of life and relationship, sacrifice.
