I would prefer it, as traditional. Had i ever had kids i would have actually not only preferred a stay at home mom, but also for my kids to have been home schooled. That being said, i find the likelihood of my ever having children at this point very low. So for myself it is a fairly irrelevant question. But i'm here. So i'm answering

I don't want kids, and I'll probably marry a man who doesn't either. If I were to be a stay-at-home wife with no kids, I'd probably be bored outta my mind without outside work of some kind. Anyone who judges me for that is a weirdo who cares too much about what other people are doing with their lives.

Proverbs 31 does show a working wife. However, what does it support more... the "spirit" of a stay at home mom who primerly care about her family and household as a stay at home mom does... or a career oriented woman? The answer is obvious. The paassage implies and also explicitly says she cares for her household.
If I ever married and was able to stay at home, it would be because I don't much enjoy working. So, see, it can be a bad thing to be a stay at home wife/mother if you're lazy like me.
Okay, so if it were to ever come to that, I know by then God and I will have worked it all out, but I'm just saying. Right now, I want to marry just so I don't have to work...which is one of the reasons I'm NOT married...and truly, it's also one of the reasons I'm not in any hurry to marry. Does that make sense? I'm kind of rambling here...ahem.

umm, what do I say? uhhh.... dang I usually have something for every situation...Maybe your right in that it wasn't feminism that caused it. I think the true cause would be sin. The sin of pride would easily fit. So...feminism has been instremntal in the causes that women and as a result feminism is a philosophical tool of sin... clearly seen in its doctrine. Feminism is still garbage.
I think the idea itself of the purpose of feminism was fine but it was taken to the extreme and therein lies the issue. It was a good thing for women to not be seen as property, to be able to vote, to be able to work as more than a number in a typing pool or a seamstress in a factory, to have protection under the law from abusive men, to have the freedom to be paid a fair wage...then they dove off the deep end and threw in a whole lot of madness and crazyness...but the same could be said for a great many things in this world, yes?
I just say this: if a woman wants to and is able to be a SAHM or a SAHW, awesome! Kudos to you! If a woman wants to do either of these and can't for whatever financial reason exists, she is still a good wife and mother. This does not change her worth or value. If a women doesn't want these things, she is still a good wife and mother. I think that each situation in this circumstance is so unique that we must be aware of the burden we can place on someone unknowingly by focusing only on one and minimizing the other, be it the working mom or the SAHM...either way.
