Alexis,

When we first meet, we hit it off very friendly. If you think I spoke any Truth when we first meet, then also know that I am speaking the Truth now, Huckleberry is given you a Brotherly warning in post 599.

Lies are covered up with many truths. Deception is another name for a lie.

P.S. Swingalong, this is not at all directed to you, so please do not take offense. It is squarely aimed at the Jehovah Witness doctrine concerning the Christ.

That surely describes my avatar. 3 presented in one animated verse......
Cee, I don't know that I thought that, because the dove is missing from Jesus' shoulder but, yes, that is an awesome avatar of Christ and God shining up above out over Him, with whom He is well pleased.

Kinda glossed right over the "Greek Challenge" and went straight for the young impressionable lady, eh?

Alexis, this lady is Jehovah's Witness.
Their theology denies virtually every essential doctrine of the Bible.
Beware of allowing her to poison your mind with her Satanic heresies.
If you engage her, know what you are facing.

Mods, I request you ban Swingalong for propagating heresies,

I like your overprotective brother in Christ spirit.

It is good.

Truth is covered up by many lies that sound like the Truth. But 'truth' is not 'Truth,' if that makes any sense, AlexHis, and, this is not to disparrage swingmealongLord one iota, it's simply said so that you can understand that those who call others 'unChristlike' and they themselves are believing in Christ as someone different than He really is (God) are, in fact, themselves the one who are unChristlike because they don't believe that Christ is inthe LIKENESS of the one and true God of the universe.

huckberryfinn says things well too, except, I pray hard before I say others are saying things of 'Satanic heresy,' as, maybe, I just didn't hear but swingmealongLord may be just having a hard time understanding who God really is. He is three in One.

So, I am careful in saying things of others' words, but, yes, to say that God is not Jesus is taking Jesus' deity away, His power as Almighty God, which He is God in human form, was, as, now He is sitting at the right hand of God and His Holy Spirit however is in those who believe on Him and receive His Holy Spirit into their life and let Him lead.

"As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons and daughters of God." Romans 8:14

And, I was honestly thinking this way, too, that is, that Jesus is a powerful prophet, of made by God but is not God. Ahh, yes! at one time but God showed me, when I asked Him, to show me words that prove His absoluteness, His Truth of being the Deity, Jesus, God, Holy Spirit. :)
----------------------------------------------
And, Scripture is clear, Jesus Christ is our mediator, He who came to Earth to show us the way home , to Him. We are to be like Christ, we are to be Christlike, in fact, those who have chosen Him have His righteousness imputed (credited) to them.

That is, too, why Galatians 2:20 says, that we are to be crucified with Christ, it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us. :)

I have chosen not to respond anymore to the negative unchristlike conversations on this post.
Can anyone identify any "unchristlike" conversations on this post?

All my posts where directed against the heresey of Jesus being a tiny god and the trinity is false. The Jw's do believe Jesus is a tiny god which actually means they believe in polytheism.

Allow me to add to this:
The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each of these three parts represent God's characteristics and attributes.
The Father- Justice
The Son- mercy
The Holy Spirit- love
By all extents and purposes, these three parts are the same God. Jesus said that the only way to the Father is through Him, and so we don't pray to the father directly. We look straight to Jesus, for he is the image of the invisible God.
By focusing on the Son, we're connected to the Father. The Holy Spirit contains the gifts of faith and love that help us focus on Jesus.

;) Yes, we Catholics believe that there is only one God. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are three parts that represent Him. They are interconnected. We can't go to the Father directly, we have to go to Him through Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the part of God that helps us connect with Jesus Christ, thus the Trinity.

@Swingalong
John 7:29 proves the existence of the Trinity. For those interested, this is exactly what that verse states:
"I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me."
John 7:29 directly states the two parts of the Trinity, the Father and the Son.

Here are a couple more verses from the bible which imply the existence of the Trinity, word for word:
Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you,; and behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age.
The second letter of Paul to the Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy spirit be with you all.

;) Remember, folks. The word 'Trinity' may not be in the bible, but the concept is still taught.

You're playing with fire. I said Jesus was the Logos. The Logos is of God and from God. You're the one denying the Logos is of God. "God the Son" is no son at all. Your theology is all screwed up, just like Calvin's was. Next you'll be excommunicating me and burning me at the stake. Just remember. If you can't answer for your accusations, the judgement will be on you.

John 1:1 (HCSB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 (HCSB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Colossians 2:9 (HCSB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ,

Here is a doctrinal statement that I agree with whole heartedly.

Grace to You

Can you show us one that you totally agree with?

We are awesome great buddies and friends! :) never doubt that

I respect my elders and will hear them out but I am sound in knowing Christ is my savior. What I'm trying to say is I don't have all the answers... Honestly I am not even sure of many of the questions. My point is though I get what Jesus said, the words in red in my Bible. I would never be disrespectful to a member of doctrines that I would never follow, but I will still happily speak to them... I don't want to name specific church groups but lets just say.. Actually here is the ones I agree with, that's a nicer way to handle this.. Not to say I disagree with all I don't name. Baptist, Methodist, Non-Denominational Christian, I think maybe Lutheran but I don't know there entire beliefs... There are others as well but I think you'll get me.

Also last but not least to you and green and huckleberry.. You have no idea how much it means that you look out for me! That's why CC feels safe and right!

I love you all,

I have learned over the years, that one common characteristic among all the "wolves in sheep's clothing" is that no matter which psuedo-christ cult they are associated with, they will go after the lambs first. Lambs are those who have not yet been GROUNDED in the WORD, from years of study. That is why I do not mind discussions like this, because if the LORD can use me in the process of a debate, to help the lambs learn that our doctrinal beliefs about the Holy Trinity are very Biblical, and that we can support our beliefs with Scripture. THEN, they will be less vulnerable next time a wolf in sheep's clothing attacks. And sadly they keep coming to attack our beliefs, all the days of our lives in one form or another. But if we can help each other get grounded in HIS WORD, AMEN, then our LORD gets all the glory.

Alexis, and anyone else that may not know where the expression "wolves in sheep's clothing" comes from, here is a brief explanation. In Bible times a shepherd traditionally wore clothing made from the wool from his own lambs and sheep. Since a Pastor's income and clothing was intended to come from his own flock, "sheep's clothing" came to symbolize the identifying characteristics of a Pastor or Bible Teacher. Hence a wolves in sheep's clothing, symbolizes False Teachers teaching false doctrines who disguise themselves as a Christian Pastors or Bible Teachers.

This is true. The Mormons actually call themselves sheep stealers as their main converts come from other churches.

Lil sis, if you want the fullness of God find a pentecostal church. Read it for yourself, I always tell you that. The baptism of the Holy Spirit will give you a more meaningful relationship with God than you have ever none. If you want more from God ask Him to baptise you with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Readi it for yourself and trust nothing but the word. I'm not trying to get you to join my church but for your own sake, seek God He will lead you lil sis.

Let me share a little secret with Alexis, I do not have all the answers either, but I learned how to look them up. And a few times HE blew me away by totally helping me when I needed it most. One time two mormon boys on bicycles who call themselves Elders, cornered me in front of my apartment when my 6 year old grandson was with me. I sent him into the house while I talked with them out side. I knew enough NOT to invite them in to talk to them, because it might encourage my unbelieving neighbor to invite them in.

2 John 1:7-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Watch yourselves so you don’t lose what we have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Anyone who does not remain in Christ’s teaching but goes beyond it, does not have God. The one who remains in that teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home, and don’t say, “Welcome,” to him;
[SUP]11 [/SUP] for the one who says, “Welcome,” to him shares in his evil works.

So I confronted them in the driveway. They have a memorized line of questions with THEIR answers, that they follow. Now Alexis, I have always had a hard time memorizing Scripture, but when these guys started explaining their beliefs, I was FILLED with the SPIRIT. THEN every time they presented a false doctrine, a verse would pop into my head, and I quoted it accurately including the Chapter and Verse number. I would say, "But that contradicts . . ." and I WOULD QUOTE IT. Finally after quoting 7 or 8 verses like that; one of them said, "I don't know why that matters, because the Bible is full of contradictions." I responded, "You may think your Bible is, but mine has no contradictions when I interpret it correctly."

Something else you need to know. Don't be afraid to ask what they mean by the Christian terms use. Because the false-christian cults frequently use our terms but mean something entirely different by them. The Mormons or LDS (as they call themselves now) for example, mean something totally different than we do by the majority of the Christian Terms that we we use. Terminology Differences (Main) That is a site you will want to save if you ever need it to witness to a Mormon. Jerald and Sandra Tanner are ex-Mormons who started a Ministry that reaches out to Mormons, and provides information to Christians on how to witness to Mormons. Jerald pasted away in 2006.

Yes you were naming some of the sound Bible Teaching Churches. I was raised Lutheran, and my solid beliefs in the BIBLE is all inspired by GOD and the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity came from those roots. For many years I have been involved now in Non-Denominational Bible Teaching Churches, and the only reason I left the Lutheran Church, is the sermons were too short. They limited the Pastor to 15 minutes, and in the services where I go now, they devote an hour to Bible Teaching and a half hour to music and prayer. I was very hungry to learn the WORD, after I was born again in 1978; and quickly became habited to the one hour sermons. I do enjoy the Praise Music, but I do not want it to dominate the service. I want to feel like I have been FED a full meal of the WORD of GOD.

If you ever find yourself searching for a new church, I can recommend the Community Churches or Bible Churches. The best way to try a new Church is go online and read the Doctrinal Statement, or What We Believe as some call it. Then if you have more questions do not hesitate to make an appointment and actually talk to the Pastor. I have found that they are always happy to answer questions about their beliefs. We are actually at a point where we need to sell our house and move yet again. May it be the last time LORD. But I already know which Church I am going to, because I actually have already followed those very steps and know where GOD wants me.

The "evidence" of speaking in tongues" is a sign for unbelievers. 1Cr 14:22, and IMO, much of it is fabricated and done by women just because they like hearing the sound of their own voices.

There are varying degrees of emphasis on the Trinity. Some major on it, some don't. The trouble is that if you are too discriminating, you'll never find a church. We have that problem in the UK. In many places, there are just so few churches that one either has the option of not going at all, or going to a Trinitarian church that is frequently semi-apostate in respect of moral standards. You can pretty much tell that Christianity is on the way out in these parts, to be replaced by worship of Nelson Mandela. I hear he will soon be elevated to be the fourth (secular) member of the Trinity (only joking).

Go to SBN, it airs in the UK. don't trust me, but harken to the message that God preaches though them. You won't be dissatisfied.
