Talk. We're not stopping you. What are you afraid of? Possibly being outed as a phony?

I believe I keep the Sabbath, I attend church if allowed. I do not watch tv or movies and do things for pure entertainment. All music I listen to or play and sing is in praise to God.

I am not sure if that is how the OP of this thread means Sabbath Keepers.

Yet, I keep the Sabbath out of love and respect for Christ. I do not think it has anything to do with my salvation. For me I understand that salvation is by God's grace alone. Of coursing keeping the Sabbath pleases God. I love Him so do everything I can to please Him but I do not think it changes whether I am saved. If I can do things to affect my salvation I am taking away from the gift God gave me and nullifying the sacrifice and works of Christ.

I have said this elsewhere.. Hope it's not bad that I copy and paste my own statement. It's really the best attempt I've made about explaining my understanding of salvation...

I repent because it pleases God and I love Him so I do all I can to please Him

Salvation is by God's grace..

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

I have accepted God's gift- Jesus Christ; He has taken away my sin. As He has taken away my sin, I am born again in His sight- not by what I DO, but by what He has DONE.

it is not about DO... It is about DONE...

I live for Christ not to earn His favor, but I live for Christ because it is already mine... By God's grace I am saved..

To me the key is I have to accept Christ and by accepting Him I am born again and live by His grace and will doing His bidding, for me this means I can not continue in sin...

I can't say who will be in heaven that's God's work... I however know God is just.

Love you all,
lexi

I would hope we can keep sharing our views on this... it makes me sad to see some of the mean comments towards brothers and sisters here in this thread.
whether you believe salvation depends upon following Laws or be it God's grace alone... I'm sure we all remember Christ's words about loving everyone, even our enemies. I don't think we have enemies here. So let us discuss with love and respect.

Again love you all,
lexi

Well gosh golly gee. It says that right there in the bible. Shazam!

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or of a new moon, or of the sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

Karraster;
sabbath-keeping can not be discussed without discussion of the Law.
ALL OF IT.
Please tell me why you dont keep the other 9 also , were not all given at once ? Is not the other nine part of Moses law also ?

Good thing the Law is done away, the words gosh, golly and gee are euphemisms for God and Jesus. But since the Commandments are done away, it is OK to take God's name in a vain or useless way. Why don't you just ask Him to destroy while you're at it?

Actually HeRose, this is a friendly reminder. Hope you take it that way.

Are all the people here aware that the Bible is written down by many men, but it is inspired by God only.? It is one message.

Jesus observed the Sabbath, His mention of giving rest is in reference to His teaching, for His yoke is easy, His burden is light. The burden is also referring to what the hypocrites laid on the assembly to do, which they themselves would not lift a finger to do.

Nowhere in the Word does Jesus, Yeshua, teach to change the order of the days of creation and rest, but He did observe the Sabbath teaching that the Sabbath of the Lord is made for man, not man for the Sabbath. This is in reference to being bone idle on the Sabbath of the Lord. He demonstated by His own Example that doing good is always allowed on the SAbbath, freeing us of all the do's and don'ts given by the hypocrites to the assemblies. He in no manner told man to change the order of time. It is preposterous to think He did, and anyone thinking so has not learned this from the Word.

I would like to share more of what God is showing me from keeping the Holy Sabbath. It gives me peace I've not known before, realizing a deeper love that our Father has for us. Living life that is described in the Word is completely different than just reading about it. I know Jesus is the only way to salvation! I never said that keeping the law would get me to Heaven. Following Jesus and obeying His commandments is knowing how much He loves us. The law is like a mirror to show us how dirty we are. How would you know how dirty your face is if you couldn't see your face? God's law is perfect, and we are so imperfect. Every time I consider what it really means to follow the law perfectly is gives me so much more love for my Father, He is so good to me and I surely do not deserve it in any way. It is a pleasure to commune with the Living God on His Holy Day He created just for special time! It has power to keep you in line and thinking about our Savior, and His love in a real, not abstract way.

I will do my best to not fall into the trap that some here have set for any believer that doesn't agree with them and kiss their feet. They want lawlessness they can have it. I really must go now and find that ignore button. Time wasted arguing with lost sheep is fruitless when they have sharp teeth. Love and peace brothers and sisters.

Shazam's probably a euphemism for shabbat, so I'm probably OK.

Wow! Thank you dear one for this wonderful lesson. You have a good way in conveying the value of the law in our walk with Yeshua Jesus. Though I like to think I have always believed every word you share here, I could never have put it so clearly. If others do not see more clearly now, then they never will. Praise or Father and His will, amen.
