Wrong. The Lord does care about the flesh, otherwise why would he come to earth as God/man? Also, we're not just floating spirits in the New Heaven and New Earth, we'll have new, sinless bodies. Anything else isn't biblical but more akin to Eastern Mysticism.
Also, Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven as God/man and paved the way for all who followed/follow after him.

Question: "Was the Apostle Paul actually a false prophet?"

Answer: The theory that the apostle Paul was a false prophet and not a true follower of Christ is usually put forth by those of the Hebrew roots movement persuasion, among others. They believe Christians should submit to the Old Testament Law, but Paul clearly disagrees with them, proclaiming that Christians are no longer under the Mosaic Law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15), but the Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). Rather than submitting to God’s Word, the Hebrew roots movement simply dismisses Paul altogether and claims that Paul was a false apostle and that his writings should not be in the Bible.

The first time I ever heard this belief was when I first joined CC in early January. Craziness!

From the above:

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

A big problem for Paul haters is that Peter says the same thing.

So now why are you putting God to the test by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke [of circumcision that binds them to the law of Moses] that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way those also are.” Acts 15:10-11
which is why my radar goes up when we're all about the OT...

Some Jews I know see him same way they "see" Jesus as rabi. Besides, within me, it seems foolish giving A MAN additional information not given to Jesus. Will I give particular protagonism to an adopted child than MY FIRST BORN or those I shared my own blood?

Just to think! But I have largely seen Paul as an add on to the Gospel of the Scripture I believe (send me wherever you think of, but Jesus is enough for me).

This is a truth plainly set forth in Scripture by a few verses. What were the requirements for an apostle of Jesus' earthly ministry (Rm 15:8), according to Scripture, Christ and the Holy Spirit?

So, we should see & understand, God in keeping with His character (Holy, just, righteous & perfect in all His ways), did what when He raised up, converted and separated Saul unto Himself? (Rm 1:1, Gal 1:15)

I want to include a verse, part of the apostle Paul's commission statement, if you will, for consideration in the fact, if something is different- it is not the same.

"For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." 1 Corinthians 1:17

Let the words on the page say what they mean. This shows distiction, right division, for a purpose God is revealing about a change in His dealings with man in time. Read in a King James Version of the bible, pls, so we are sharing in the same words, Eph 2:11-13.

Let me offer one more verse of distinction, for our conversation, study, profit & learning;

"But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;" Gal 2:7
i cant help but notice that you just joined today,and that this was your 3rd post.,,in your profile you when ask what you favorite verse was listed several verses from Paul as your favorite,,,,now of Paul himself he stated that he was chief of those who were sinners against Christ,,,this seems to be what christ was looking for that is a man who would see himself as a sinner,,,,,

Where these verse overlooked in reading Scripture as concerning Paul being an apostle? There are nine (9) verses which say he was an apostle.....

Rom 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

1Co 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

2Co 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead; )

Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

1Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

2Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

The Hebrew Roots movement began emerging as a distinct phenomenon in the mid-1990s (1993–96).[4] In 1997, Dean Cozzens of Open Church Ministries (Colorado Springs, CO) published a prophecy titled "The Hebrew Movement", which revealed that God had foreordained four major moves for the 20th century, Pentecostalism, Faith-healing, the Charismatic Movement and finally the Hebrew Roots Movement. In this prophecy, the Hebrew Roots Movement is the "final stage of empowerment" before Christ returns. Several Hebrew Roots ministries are now preferring to use the term Awakening instead of the term "movement" which has been used widely since the 1960s to define political oriented movements.[4]

The movement / Awakening has accelerated in the last few years,[8] mainly because of a shift within the Messianic Judaism community. The Hebrew Roots movement and a few groups in Messianic Judaism diverge on the issue of One Law theology (one law for the native born and the sojourner, c.f. Numbers 15:16)[9] which Hebrew Roots subscribes to, but which some groups in Messianic Judaism denies. One Hebrew Roots teacher, Tim Hegg, responded to this issue by defending what he believes to be the biblical teaching of "One Law" theology and its implications concerning the obligations of Torah obedience for new Messianic believers from the nations.[10] The Two-House and One Law differences have affected musicians who are welcomed by Hebrew Roots fellowships notwithstanding their beliefs: "...many Messianic Jewish artists who are heavily influenced by organizations like the MJAA and UMJC have been told by their leadership that if they ever appear at a MIA event they will not be able to play with them again".[11]

Theology

Salvation derives from the belief in Yeshua the Messiah as personal savior, not from commandment/Torah keeping; however, believers are rewarded according to their fruits, works, and obedience. Hebrew Roots followers believe that sin is breaking the written Torah (cf. 1 John 3:4), all of the purity laws such as dietary restrictions and sabbath keeping are in the written Torah, thus it is sin to not keep sabbath and to eat forbidden animals, among other social and religious observance laws. It is also true, according to Hebrew Roots followers, that those who are truly born of God will not continue in sin (cf. 1John 3:9), therefore, if you are not moved to keep sabbath or keep dietary restrictions, you must not truly be born of God.

I'll just post one or two verse then im out :

1 Corinthians 1:17

King James Version (KJV)

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

This is one, one, verse out of the entire Bible, taken out of its subject .

How dose some one then conclude , oh well, this must mean hes not a apostle or Christian. ...

What can be learned from this one, verse alone, is that Paul is laying it right on the line; he is saying Christ did not send me out to baptize anyone, not to be some great orator to reveal my great speaking skills.

The only thing that mattered to Paul is that those that heard the Word of God understood God's Word, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Paul says I am a little bit on the crude side, and I didn't come to you with eloquent speech, but I came to open your eyes to the truth.

I Corinthians 1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us that are saved it is the power of God."

Paul is reminding people in Corinth and to us today, that if you think the preaching of the cross is foolishness, then you are going to perish in hell fire... So lets keep with the subject, and be aware of who Paul is taking to and what about.

2 Peter 3:15

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

Read Acts 9:. Also not written by Paul . Good night everyone.

The Lord does not care about the flesh. No flesh will enter the kingdom. Look what he did to Jesus's flesh.
Jesus rose to Heaven flesh and bones (no blood, since life is in the blood).

Smiling! I am not as savvy as some here when it comes to the format & getting around in this website, pls have patience when directing responses to me, thx.

@ Old Hermit, um, no, no problem with either.

In addition to my original post, according to Scripture, we'll just look at Acts 1, after recently being instructed some 40 days by the risen Lord, speaking of things pertaining to the kingdom of God, Peter stood up to address the replacement of Judas, there are a couple verses, 21 & 22, we can read of some of the requirements to take part in the ministry of the little flock, to the bride of Christ.

There is a reason for the terms, bride of Christ and the one new man. God is not the God of confusion, we all agree I'm sure. Scripture is not meant to be harmonized, but rightly divided, so that we may know some things about who we are in Christ and what God is doing in accordance with our position, calling, vocation, inheritance.

We never read about the new man in the four gospels of Christ's earthly ministry and we certainly never read about a kingdom of priests in Paul's epistles, there is a distinction for a reason, "the mystery of his will" (Eph 1:9). It's about realms & dominions, principalities & powers, a plan of glory. " wisdom which none of the princes of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory."

What you are going to have to explain is Acts 9:15 and 16

15But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

I believe things are getting mixed up. There was a physical circumcision and a spiritual one. You must know which one they are speaking of in the scriptures. The Lord does not care about the flesh. No flesh will enter the kingdom. Look what he did to Jesus's flesh. The circumcision of the heart is what matters.
Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Even King David ask God for a new heart and God gave him one :)
