Well Taggerung, I'm not one to declare things sin, if not laid out in The Bible. I will tell you that I personally don't care for nose studs.

I do think a cross tattoo could be a beautiful way of symbolizing your faith in Jesus.

I'm not a big fan of facial piercings, but I'm an old fart. :p

As far as tats go, call me hypocritical if you want, I'm not a fan of inked up ladies even though I have a few of my own. Just the same, I wouldn't decide against getting involved with a woman only because she had a tat or too.

Thanks EVERYONE!!! Of course some comments made me laugh. But I always get a happy feeling when I get on this site, almost everyone is like minded. I love that! :) GreenNnice, you are freakin' awesome!!! lol
Awwww, Gardenhopper, you're so sweet, like eating a fresh-pulled carrot from the earth :)

But, yes, all this said, gardenhunny, God has a personal life plan for you and we all freely choose how we go about following His plan for us. Pray morningly, noonly, nightly, and, of these times, inbetweenedly :D Seriously speaking, being greenly, too, but, whatever you do, as long as you are already His sheep, having been born again of God, then God will look at things we do to ourselves and for others and chasten or encourage, teach or discipline, but, never will God convict you of your sins through His Holy Spirit dwelling within you, for God is Love. :)
The Enemy, however will convict you of your tattoos, you bb piercings, etc., all that crops up guiltily in our mind you can be certain that Satan had doing of that becoming an issue for us, whatever the issue. :(
But, yes, scripture is clear, 'Greater is He who is in Me than He who is in the world.' :)
The battle belongs to the Lord, regarding all your battles, stand strong, God will stand you with 'hind feet,' as becky216 said another thread.

Lol, I was acting like the whole concept of "better judgement" was completely foreign to me. Like I had never heard of such a thing.

It was in your "measure of faith" thread. I'll bump it, if you'd like to go over it again. :)
No, you may not bump it, poppityclick-click, you never said, 'Mother, may I?' :D

Sure you can. You start off with a small one and add to it as your mood changes. :D
What would you suggest I start with? :)

I can't really say I will ever get one though.

I'm not really a fan of tattoos, but it's not a thing for me if the person doesn't get carried away. I've seen folks with their entire bodies covered, including their faces. That would be a bit much and I wouldn't find that attractive at all. :)

Hmmmmmm. Honestly I stay out of advising people on this subject. I tell people that ask me this the same thing I tell people who want help picking colors for painting their house. You gotta live with it, I don't. I think the only way I would make a recommendation on body art is if I was married to the person because then I gotta live with it too.

The only thing I've ever told someone considering getting a tat is think about it, then reconsider, then think it over again before doing it. At that point if someone still wants one, the only advice I have is to get something that has significance to you, and put it somewhere it can be covered up if need be.

I agree when it comes to people that are just a never ending tattoo. I look at tats in the same way as any other artwork. Anyone who has been in an art museum knows that fine paintings are placed with space between the so you can enjoy them one at a time, cramming them together would tend to reduce the appreciation for each individual piece.

The humorous thing is I never planned of getting a tattoo. I had gone with a friend of mine to the tattoo parlor because he was getting one. After his was finished he looked at me and said, "you pick it, I'll buy it." Needless to say it was a spur of the moment decision and unfortunately tats are like Ruffles, you can't have just one. My getting ink ended when I decided I shouldn't spend the money on the one I really wanted.

I couldn't agree more. :D

I have 3 butterflies on my back symbolizing my 3 kids.
Lotus flowers and vines on my right foot to ankle symbolizing beauty; which I thought I really needed.

I got inked before I accepted Jesus in my life..
for diversion, for attention, to get back at my ex because he hated the idea
and i hated that he was cheating on me but I just couldn't cheat on him..
I got them for the wrong reasons..

When I became a Christian, I have been reaching out to children in the streets.
I met a 10 year old child who ran away from home and chose to live in the streets
because his drunkard Uncle beats him to death. He didn't care about talking to me at first.
All he cared about was the food I offer.
It was not so hard to tell that he was reserved and angry.
I noticed his poorly done mohawk and he had henna tattoo on his forearm.
I asked him how he got them, he told me "I have friends". :)
"I have real ones.. can we be friends too?" I said as I showed them to him.
He smiled at me... and slowly started to open up.. told me about his life before he ran away..
showed me his scars from the wounds his Uncle inflicted on him.

From them on, I stopped regretting my tattoos... my beautiful scars.

P.S.
I heard tattoos are expensive in the US, i got mine for free :p
I have friends! ;) :D

Why get a tattoo? You get tired of everything you'll get tired of your picture.
That's actually not true. I know from firsthand experience. This is one of those things you really shouldn't be speaking for people about, if you don't have the experience of it yourself. You're stating false opinions as facts.

You are really hyper-critical i've noticed. Sometimes maybe just let things slide. Your comment was completely unnecessary, i dont know if anyone but took it that he was stating some undeniable fact for all...

Ug has a little 'Eyore' in him, naut.
Right, Ug :D

And, that's good, positive, Ug is grounded in that way, sometimes to what some may think, to a point of fault, but he means well and he's created positively engaging threads too ever so every once in awhile on c.c. singles forum and forget what now, think.it was something about 'demons' that Ug thought-provoked me to answer. (hey, Ug, speaking of that 'Even the demons believe' thread, Im not sure I answered your question, I hope , and, pray so, I speak rounaboutedly, often so hard to know what I really mean, it MUST be the green in me :D :)

oh my gosh!!!!! So me being the rebel(even though I'd never get a tatt), I have a famous butt crack in my family. Before I discovered belts, it was always hanging out. So I wanted to get a 'tramp stamp' that said "stop looking pervert" in Danish(since that is where my family originated from).
And then if people asked me what it translated to, I'd say "stop looking pervert" and they'd get all embarrassed. lol
Since then I never have a problem with it hanging out so the tattoo would be pointless and it would look "trampy" even though there are some beautiful ones out there, that's just not my favorite place for a tattoo! :)

Exod 21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
