people say that. but it takes 2 to not be single...
Yes that's correct. The next thing I want to say is, don't lose hope. There will always be someone out there waiting for you.

@Wisebeardman
Please don't hold my statement against me, as our age and nationality differences may of course cause us to have opposing views.

For now, I feel that I don't want to ever get engaged with someone, but of course, being a young blood growing up in an ever-changing world, that opinion may change at any time.

I lost hope on that 15 years ago. now im a grumpy old man.
WHAT?? Old man?? I don't think so. Your age is the appropriate age for a man to pursue a relationship. There's no age limit for a relationship/marriage. So your excuse is invalid.

there may not be an age limit to relationships/marriage, however being along for a very long time is very damaging. I have been alone for so long that now I do not like being around people. I do not like leaving the house. I also don't trust people at all. and truthfully, if some lady today came trying to "woo" me, telling me I was hot or good looking or what ever people call it these day. I wont believe a word she is saying and will figure she is trying to pull some sort of scam.

His excuse is indeed invalid, as I heard in the past that even 60-80 year old man have girlfriends in the 20-30 age range.

:rolleyes:

The fact that you're cautious of approaching girls should be considered a good thing. Trust, but verify. Don't let just any girl get too close... follow your gut feeling, sir.

I've been single all my life apart from a very brief stint at a relationship that was never going to work out. There's nothing with being single and it's not damaging.

Look at people in the video in another thread who have never been married. John Stott is just one example. Then we have John the Baptist. Then we have Jesus the supreme example. Fully man, completely fulfilled and single.

It's all just in the attitude bro.

I am more literal in my definition. If you are NOT married, you are single. HOWEVER, just because you are single, doesn't mean you are available. You might be in a relationship (just dating, engaged) and not interested in considering anyone else. :cool:
