Such a scoffer......

this verse is about those who will not submit to Yahweh authority, those who will not even subject themselves to Yahweh's Law, and the consequence.

How easily you mock what Yahweh has called holy.

Here's your Yahweh:

"Depart from me you evil gentile pork fat eaters and Sabbath laborers. For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. But you refused to rest from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset and you defiled my temple by stretching your beans with pork lard.... therefore I never knew you."

You can keep your Yahweh.

Then when the Almighty says He never knew them they will say but God you told me in your word, and the Almighty might respond, that is not what i was saying, but you wouldn't listen.

Christ called them a "brood of vipers". We are dealing with the salvation of souls. When people tell others that their Christ will exterminate billions of people because they do not rest one day a week I call them out and expose their teaching in the proper light. I attack their teaching not their person just like they are free to attack mine. They repeatedly tell everyone that they will lose their salvation no matter how many good deeds they do and burn in the fires of hell because they do not rest one day a week. You cannot get a more harsh and hate filled doctrine than that.

But what I see here is staged opposition. Just oppose each other a little... just enough to sustain the division but not enough to destroy the opposition because we are all on the same team trying to achieve the same objectives...the objectives of sustained division and discord. Employ the exact same tactics used in Satan's political system of a phony opposition. Once they end the debating on the floor of the House they all go out and have drinks together and intermarry and rejoice because they all serve the same master.

When God says He will put people to death for breaking His Laws you are offended? What would you rather hear?

Isa 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
Isa 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

:
That's not what you people say and you know it. The point of contention is the Sabbath but you keep hiding behind the word "Laws" but you all do not keep all the Laws of the old covenant. So instead of being honest and just posting threads about the Sabbath you have to dress up your threads under titles about Law.... a constant deception. Every thread you people post should be about the Sabbath not about the law. But if you did that you would sound like a bunch of crazies talking about the Sabbath all the time.

But in reality your doctrines are pure lunacy about a cruel God exterminating billions of poor people who eat pork and don't keep the Sabbath. I tell it like it is... I get to the point because I've been there... i know what you people do and how you live. I was part of the strictest and largest law keeping and Christ believing denomination on the planet. And all that law keeping brought the whole organization to oblivion and now they are fractured into thousands of pieces

Your doctrine in the real world has no power and is unsustainable because it's not real.

Mat 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Notice the words in red? Means they came straight out of the mouth of Jesus Christ.

that's all you can do... copy and plaster scripture and say... "Notice the words in red." Did you just discover that? I got that same red lettering in my bible I bought 32 years ago.

John 6:44
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:37-40
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

those who believe will not be cast out.
unbelievers will.

I am going to have to go back and study this covenant to refresh my memory. So many people say it is only for the Hebrew people because it was sort of like a constitution for the land they would take. Also, I have heard people say it was commandments to tell how to gain salvation, and that can't be because from the beginning, salvation was through blood.

What this constitution would give the Hebrews was justice, peace, and a good life. And that, I think, still stands exactly as it was the day Moses brought those stone tablets down to the people. I think there is always the spiritual and principles of God that shows in the physical things God tells of. So yes, I think we should listen to this covenant.
Okay, but remember it was a conditional covenant, it was conditioned on Israel's obedience
to its terms in order to stay in effect, as we see in Jeremiah:

"Listen to the terms of this covenant and tell them to the people of Judah and to those who
live in Jerusalem.
Tell them that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:
'Cursed is the man who does not obey the terms of this covenant--the terms I commanded
your forefathers when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the iron-smelting furnace.

I said, 'Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.
Then, I will fulfill the oath I swore to your forefathers.' . . .
Both the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken the covenant I made with their forefathers." (Jer 11:2-5, 10)

And so they were exiled.

And then they were promised return from exile:

"This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'When I bring them back
from captivity. . .(Jer 31:23)

And because the people had broken the Sinaitic covenant, thereby
making it no longer in effect, as we see in Hebrews:

"For if there had been nothing wrong with the first (Sinaitic) covenant, no place would
have been sought for another.
But God found fault with the people and said:

'The time is coming', declares the LORD, 'when I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers. . .
because they broke my covenant.'
" (Heb 8:7-9)

So God didn't break the covenant, the people did.
God's commitment was everlasting, if they remained faithful, which they did not,
thereby making the Sinaitic covenant null and void.

Then Christ Jesus inaugurated that new covenant which God promised to replace
the old (Sinaitic) covenant:

"This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."

And all those who believe in him are in this new covenant (Heb 9:15, 8:6; 2Co 3:6)
of the new order (Heb 9:10), that's why the NT revelation spoken by the Son in these
last days (Heb 1:1-2), through the author of Hebrews, reveals that
the old (Sinaitic) covenant is obsolete (Heb 8:13).

There are no longer any promises of God to his people in the obsolete Sinaitic covenant (Heb 8:13).
They are all in the new covenant made in the blood of his Son to those who believe in him.

the Levitical priesthood has been abolished, replaced with the priesthood after the order of Melchizedek, which Yahshua is now High Priest.

The true purpose of the sacrificial Law has been completed,

Sins have been cleansed for those who accept Messiah.

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."
Likewise, the true purpose of the laws of defilement (persons, clothing, houses, food)

and the laws of purification, were for types and shadows to show the meaning of sin as spiritual defilement,

and its remedy to be through faith in the cleansing blood of Christ (Ro 3:25).

The sacrificial laws, as well as the defilement laws (persons, clothing, houses, food) and the purification laws were all temporary, and for the purpose of foreshadowing the nature and work of Christ Jesus.

The reality of them is now here, and the shadows, patterns, copies have passed away (Heb 9:10;
Col 2:16-17).

And actually, the priesthood was changed (Heb 7:12), it is the law with its commands and regulations
that was set aside (Heb 7:18-19) and abolished (Eph 2:15).

We should obey God, but if we do not hear His voice, how can we do His will? Everything we do that is not the will of God will all burn up. All of our works will be tested with fire. If you do not hear the voice of God you are a ship with out a compass. I do hear the voice of God and it is amazing.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Yes I agree with you. However, the order of the Seder glorifies Christ and speaks to His sacrifice. We can look back upon the OT and see that it is a witness of Christ. My former church puts on a Seder` that explains how it glorifies Christ. It never presents the Seder as being current law that we must obey. Sadly, the new pastor that took over the church has run it into the ground.

Even Passover speaks of what Christ will do for us. Tha OT regulations have no hold on the Christian but we can still study it and identify how it is a witness for Christ.
Seder is not a NT ordinance, and God has not authorized us to glorify Christ through ordinances apart
from his new covenant order (Heb 9:10).

He has authorized us to glorify Christ only in the NT ordinances of the Lord's Supper,
where we proclaim the Lord's death til he comes, not the deliverance of Israel from Egypt,
and in baptism, laying on of hands (1Tim 4:14) and anointing with oil (Jas 5:14).

Glorifying Christ in our own way, rather than the way God has authorized, is will worship (Col 2:22-23).
It's being wiser than God in adding our own ordinances to his ordinances.
Neither God nor Christ are glorified in ordinances not authorized by them.

Uzzah also thought he was doing good when he disobeyed God's command
and without authorization touched the ark to keep it from falling,
which only the Aaronic priesthood was authorized to do.

If saving the ark from falling was not pleasing to God because Uzzah was not authorized to do so,
we have no basis for thinking God will be pleased with our own ideas of glorifying Christ apart from
the NT ordinances authorized by him.

It is zeal without knowledge (Ro 10:2).
We must inquire of God in his New Covenant revelation spoken by the Son in the last days (Heb 1:1-2)
through the NT writers as to how he would have us glorify him (1Chr 15:13).

Well put. I have been saying this for a long time. As Stilly says the law keepers are shadow keepers. They are holding on to shadow as if it is reality.
16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Col. 2:16-17
