I believe the Holy Scripture references are sufficient to order the reply as correct. It is God, Yahweh's Word. Yes Paul does not allow a woman to have authority, and that should tell you enough. Keep in mind the written word is dead without the Holy Spirit to enlighten the reader. I know woman may preach for this reason, and further because I have experienced hearing from women with the Holy Spirit present. Perhaps your congregation is as Paul was. Again, Paul says it is his practice. God will use a flat tire to get His message across if necessary, and woman are far more than a flat tire.

Isa 50:2
Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Another teaching from the New Testament portion of the Book is more than an adequate reply I believe. God takes that which is not to bring down that which is, the weak to bring down the mighty, and so forth..............He does what pleases Him, and what pleases Him should please us, His children....no questions about it.

Don't get me wrong, if God felt like having a women pastor he could. He won't though, becasue the word of God doesn't permit it. Women can be called to preach, not to lead a church. There is a difference.

Paul doesn't say it is just his practice rather this is how it is supposed to be done. If he does say it is only his way of doing things and that there are other ways that are fine, I need a verse showing that. Also I am not saying a woman pastor cannot teach well, rather that it isnt permitted. There are plenty of women who could teach me A LOT. That doesn't mean they should lead a church though. Also God makes good things happen out of bad situations all the time. I look at women pastoring like this. Its a bad situation. It shouldn't happen, but God is taking that bad situation, and making good things out of it. It doesn't justify it happening though.

God, Himself, has used woman to judge nations, to preach, to prophecy, to save nations, and much more. I have read of all of this in the Word.

Perhaps you belong to Paul, and as long as you do all you believe he is saying, no one has any authority to deny you this way.

My experience has given me to know that we have no congregations in the majority of protestant assemblies who make woman cover their heads, or cut their hair if it is exposed. Paul was addressing a specific culture with its traditional practices. You may liken this to when he circumcised Timothy so as not to offend any newly converted Jews, even though circumcision is of no value, unless it is the heart circumcised.

When reading the Word one must consider all this is provided for our learning, and this would be all of the Word. The ultimate teacher is the Holy Spirit.

There are many preachers in this age today, and many more are needed. Woman preach; there are excellent woman preachers, but just as their male counterparts there are some pretty awful ones too.

1st off I'm not protestant so please do not assume that of me.

2nd off God has used women to do all those things, but never to lead a church. See the difference?

3rd I do not belong to Paul, but to the Father, which paul also belonged to.

4th With the concept that he didn't let women teach men because that's what their culture did is a slippery slope. That is justifying actions that the bible doesn't teach. Paul says very clearly that women are not to teach men. It is also clear in context that this is specifically in a church setting. To say this was only for paul, is also a justification technique. You are justifying your actions. You are basically saying "what the bible says is a way to do it, but I can do it my way and It's fine"

Also the concept of men being the head of women is ALL OVER the place in the bible, not just in Paul's letters.

Paul's just the only one to say it bluntly.

Oh and I explained to you how a women pastor could be great at teaching, but still be wrong for her to pastor. God takes bad situations all the time and makes them good. Ex. Adam and Eve. Bad situation, ending in the salvation given by Jesus Christ.

Women teaching men is the same (specifically leading classes in church). It isn't permitted, just like Eve was not permitted to eat from the tree, but God can take that failure to follow his word and make good things come from it.

Also with the concept that he was saying these things in the same reasoning he circumscribed Timothy, to use that as a way to disregard his teachings is a major red flag. In that case I'll just go with every one of his books/letter's teachings being purely his way of doing it. Also all of his teachings were taught only so that he could be like the people he was teaching.

By using your logic, I can disregard half the NT. See the issue with that logic?

No one said you are a Protestant.

No one has ever headed (led) any church (the true Body of Yeshua) other than our Savior and Lord, as for directing an assembly, many woman have.

I am glad you belong to the Father. I believe I do also because of His Son, they are One. Perhaps this description may sound a bit strong, however your teachings are from words from Paul, and he did qualify stating "I do not allow," but there are no firm teachings on this subject anywhere else in the Word of God.

You seemed to hint that I was, that's beside the point though.

Pastors to lead their church. The Lord leads through the pastor but the pastor does lead. Can I ask what women in scripture lead an assembly of Christ, specifically in a church setting?

My teachings are from the words of Paul, inspired by God. He stated "I do not allow" but sense these words are in the bible, and what he believed was based off the teachings of Christ. Sense the bible is the word of God, what Paul taught was the truth, not just how he did things, but how all should do things. He was correcting a church for not doing things in accordance to the Word.

Also there are examples of this throughout the bible, as well as at least one other firm teaching.

So first off theres the concept of men being the leaders and women keeping the leaders in check. This is the role of men/women. Eve was told to be subject to Adam. The only women leader of anything in the bible is Deborah and she only lead a battle because the man wouldn't go unless she came. He wasn't being a true leader, therefore didn't fulfill his role. There was no man that could have taken over in that situation, so she had to. I stated that if there was no man to head, then a woman may. That's the example showing why I believe that. Also notice how there were no Queens of Israel only Kings. Also there Ruth layed at Boaz feet, showing submission.

All of these things show that men are the leaders. The pastor does lead, but he leads in accordance to Christ. Look at it this way. Christ leads the entire body, but a pastor leads the specific section of the body. Christ is the General, a Pastor is a Lutenit, and we are Privates. (I don't really look at it as a military style of leadership, just showing you an easier way of picturing it)

Paul is the first to bluntly say the role of the women, but that's because up to that point the role of the woman was followed. Paul corrected them for not following the order God has given us. Just like he is trying to correct the world we live in today through the Bible.

May God bless you and guide you in the way He has provided for you, I pray this in Jesus, Yeshua's name, amen.

Not the reply I was expecting, but thank you. May God bless you as well.

The last thing I'd like to say is I'm not saying men can whip women around however they want. A man trying to be like Christ would love and treat women the same way Christ did. Women are equal in importance to God, but their role in the Body of Christ is different. Men tend to abuse these scriptures showing that women must be submissive. I'm not saying that men are awesome, or that they don't ever do wrong. Men use these verses to say they are better all the time. I disagree with that. I look at men and women as equals, with different roles in the body. Men tend to mess up the system, but that doesn't grant women to mess it up in return.

Sure you can becalled to the ministry to preach
But
will youlet yourself be chosen?

Here is a question,
were in the Bible does Jesus call you to preach the gospel to all nations.?

Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past,
(SUNDAY, is officially forever and ever the day AFTER the SABBATH, This was writen YEARS after Jesus was risen)
Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, (Three WOMEN )
had bought sweet spices,
that they might come and anoint him.
Mark 16:2 And very early in the morning SUNDAYTHE FIRST DAY AFTER THE SABBATH,
they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mark 16:3 And they said among themselves,
Who shall roll us away the stone
from the door of the sepulchre?
Mark 16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
Mark 16:5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Mark 16:7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
Mark 16:8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the FIRST DAY AFTER THE SABBATH, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Mark 16:10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
Mark 16:11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

[h=1]Can a woman be 'called' by God into ministry to teach and preach men?[/h]
Can a woman be "called" by God...yes

into ministry...yes

to teach and preach...yes

men...yes, will add mankind, human race

I've sat under the teaching of women as in women's conferences...wonderful teachers/leaders.
I've sat and heard preaching/teaching by women who stood behind the pulpit during a church service. Both men and women filled up the alter. The Spirit of God moved and worked in the hearts of those that were in attendance.

I am not going to play God nor am I going to fill out an application for God's role. God is God and He will and DOES do ALL things orderly and according to HIS plan and purposes. Far be it from me to even try to say yah or nay regarding the workings of God. Ain't even gonna try. Nope. Nada. No.

Having said that, will also say there are some women preachers "out there" I would not let loose of my pennies to buy their books or sit in their conferences. Just because they tote a microphone and stand behind a pulpit or stand on a platform doesn't make them a "minister."

Didn't God call Deborah, the Judge?Didn't God call Priscilla and Acquilas to lead church? Why is it that women can not tell MEN about God ? Can't the Spirit lead them, too? Acts 13:2 says directly that 'The Holy Spirit' called Saul and Barnabus into ministry? Can't women be 'called' by God like men ? What bearing do verses like 1 Timothy 2:12 have on women being 'called' by God to service (preach, teach) over men? Can a woman be 'called' by God into ministry to teach and preach men? No? Yes?Maybe?Defend your answers, please, with the Love God's placed in your heart :)
of course women can, are men any better than women?

Its not they are better rather they have different roles. There is a verse directly saying women should not teach men. (I believe this is talking about in a church setting only). It doesn't get much clearer than that. That doesn't mean a woman couldn't teach better than a man, its just not their role.

The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but heap to themselves teachers having itching ears.

They will tell you what you want to hear no matter what Gods word actually says.

For the cause of Christ

So what is your opinion of the matter?

yes i have seen this scripture, however its the only one i have seen stating that and honestly if its only for inside a church then i definately say women can because to me a church is just a building and the preacher is just a teacher as human as anyone else. perhaps the jews hold this but we as gentiles do not have to follow the Jews religious rules. why should it matter where the teaching is taught? and with that by whom?

dear brothers and sisters.

(1.) a church is a symbol/ a type/ a shadow... it represents a female... a spiritual woman and a natural woman.

(2.) the holy word of god/ the holy bible is a symbol/ a type/ a shadow... it represents a male... a spiritual man and a natural man.

(3.) so it is a symbol/ a type/ a shadow... and it represents a marriage... a marriage between a spiritual woman/ and a spiritual man and also a marriage between a natural woman/ and a natural man.

so therefore... a woman... cannot teach/ preach/ minister/ be a reverend/ a pastor/ an elder/ a deacon/ ordained/ behind the pulpit in any way... for it is an abomination unto god and is unholy.

god bless... god states this plain and simple by his own holy words alone.

many shall reject god's holy word but only a few shall accept and believe god's holy word... as is.

.......................
Paul speaks of women in the church pew to not teach they are first in the ORDER of hierarchy for church leadership over men,..............
If you don't believe Paul, why do you quote him? Err, I mean misquote him?
For the life of me, I don't see why you don't toss your bible in the trash. Paul got his gospel from Christ, who got it from God. If you don't accept what Paul says, you must believe God to be a liar. IF you have a bible, it is taking up unnecessary room in your life. Throw it the trash can.
