why are so many christians saying "times have changed" just because it's 2014 and we live in a very politically correct society doesn't mean we need to conform to it, no women were ever part of the priesthood in the temple in times before Jesus so obviously God thought it wasn't necessary and I see no reason to change that. A preacher is probably the only job left in society that can discriminate on gender and I see it's largely a anti-christian feminist agenda trying to change that

women preaching to men is like a reverse of what God intended, I would not stay at a church where there was a woman preacher because it would be obvious she has not read her Bible which shows as every female preacher I have met have been very liberal in their view of how they interpret.

1. I don't think it is wrong for women to teach men outside of leading classes in church, pastoring, etc. Basically in church activities. Not just in the building but wherever the Body is. Thats because the book that says women are not to teach is talking about how to conduct home life and church organization. So can women preach to nobelievers ABSOLUTELY. can they teach a class to beleivers? Not according to Paul.

Also propheting and pastoring are different as we have stated to you. They both teach, but in different ways. One teaches things directly revealed to them from God.

There is no example of a women teaching men things specifically relavent to scripture, only propheting which is different.

All of your verses support women propheting, which we agree on, or women spreading the gospel, which we agree on. We disagree on them pastoring, or leading the body of believers.

IN some respect he is right though. A degree means nothing to God. You can go to school and learn, or learn from personal study. I'd say personal study is actually higher to God because then you are looking for yourself, not being told what to think.

Credentials do matter though in how God will use you, but not in your importance. So he is sort of right, but how he said it may have taken it a bit too far.

Note that Paul says "the church that meets at her house", she was in her role offering hospitality, she probably taught women and girls, but it says none of that, nor does it imply that she somehow ran the church, only that it met at the girls house.

I don't know how women cannot see how this behavior really brings them down. People think, oh womens lib, and feminism woohoo, lets act like men". God created you and knit you together in the womb and counted every hair on your head and sees after your every need, he gave us women a wonderful gift of femininity, which is robbed and looted by this type of nonsense. Of course God can do anything he wants, but that doesn't mean he's going to do what you want him to do or what you think he seems to be doing. I can tell you that a woman is meant to be a jewel. She is to be the figure of Israel and the Church (the bride). You'll lose all the talents God has so far given to you. You probably wont lose your salvation, but you might if God speaks to you and you refuse to listen and become even more deceived in your rebellion and God give you over to your lusts.

You keep bringing salvation into this, as if without you, some men are going to hell in a handbasket. Jesus told the Pharasees that God could raise up children for Abraham from the stones at their feet. You do not have the power to mess up Gods plan, he knows all the stuff you're gonna do, and not do, and the only thing that will be lost is your reward. I can 100% guarantee that nobody is going to go to hell because you didn't teach them about salvation.

If you really want to teach men and lead a church, marry a pastor, start popping out babies, and if one's a boy, you can teach him for a while. You can also minister to and help your husband, and since you are one flesh, technically you'd be a teacher, and this would be ok. You just don't belong in the pulpit. It's called leading from behind.

If you feel called to seminary by all means go. You can learn how to minister appropriately. You can teach women, you can teach Sunday school, you can step into the secular area and teach there. You just can't eat this one apple, so put it down already and lets start arguing about this. 10 pages, and you have yet to show any scripture to support what you say. Something about prophetesses doesn't count, as someone already pointed out. Accept correction from your brothers and sisters, and move on.

But, a woman asking God IF she can pastor and God providing a way for her to do it is even being compared to an unforgiveable sin at judgment day? Laughable.

Paul said, "I suffer...." He didn't say , 'God suffers a woman to teach or have authority over a man.... " OK? Let's get that straight. The "I" word IS important. But, true, too, Paul's opinion is God breathed, so NO DOUBT God does NOT prefer a woman to teach a man in church OR God would have 'breathed' different words into the Paul's epistles

And, let's get this straight, too. Just because Paul says that he suffers not a woman to preach or teach in a certain way--over men, in this case, this does NOT mean that God cannot OVERride what dear brother Paul is saying is Truth. And, it is Truth, Paul speaks Truth, He is speaking with an "I" about a subject that is important to Him and, for the most part, IS the way God wants it to be. We know that because there is no contradiction of saying that Paul is wrong by God in the verses following 1 Tim. 2:11-12. It does speak of ORDER, with man being first, and, woman being second, because of creation and deceived reasons Paul says, and, women can't preach or teach men but saved by childbearing. But, it does not ALSO say that a woman is NEVER to preach or teach a man.
