Name one female teacher with verses supporting. Priscilla didn't teach unless your bible says something mine does not.

I don't have a narrow view in the aspect that if someone provides a legit reason to why I am wrong, then okay, but no one has. (Legit reason with scripture supporting)
Sorry! Been busy, Okay, Mary, Tryphena, and Tryphosa, Udias and Syntyche, and Phebe... Like I said, women did not have the right to study...Paul did not want them to teach because they didn't yet have enough knowledge or experience. Sorry it took so long!

Do you have scripture to back that up?

Tuck said that Priscilla did not teach the word of God, elizzy, but, she did. She taught and here is a verse to prove it :)

"When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him (Apollos) to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately."

Acts 18
------------

Apollos is there understudy, who went on to teach others great things of Messiah God :)

God can do anything he wants.

It is really funny that you take one verse on women and then limit them from preaching because of one verse.
You don't ask yourself if you have interpreted that verse correctly (you havnt) there are other ways to interpret that verse, and you should take the other ways to be consistant with the fact Paul put Phebe in charge as pastor of a curch and God chose the lady at the well to be the first evangelist and Deborah was a prophet of all of Israel leading them

but no
one falsly interpreted Bible text due to King Jame twisting and choice of words, (the word should be WIFE not WOMEN making it obvious it was talking in church while preaching, which is a no no
and yet
one verse misinterpreted is so powerful
you ban women from praching, that is sad

yet the bible has 760 verses telling us in old and new testament
telling us to keep the Sabbath and you ignore them all.

Oh, cnsistance, thou art a jewel!

It is obvious you dont follow or believe the bible but use it to twist the truth to do what you would like it to be.
sorry
Woman are pastors, have been pastors and will be pastors and prophets, no matter how much you dont like it

God is God and can do anything He wants but He has stated that He will not transgress His own word. God's word goes forth and accomplishes that to which He has purposed it. It will not return unto Him void.

God will never invalidate His word. Though heaven and earth should pass away yet not one jot or tittle will pass from the word of God.

For the cause of Christ

Where are your verses. I know Mary never taught. Niether did Phebe (at least not what I've read). I don't know the rest which is why you need the verses that show they taught.

I commented on this on the other thread you posted it on.

I've never seen this verse so thanks for showing it! It supports what I have been saying though. Realize this wasn't in a church setting, this was preaching, not pastoring. Women are aloud to preach to unbelievers (which he would be considered because he did not know the Truth). Remember how I talked about 1 on 1 situations to learn from women? This is one of those.

You are right though that she taught Apollo, but she didn't pastor or lead a church. Timothy is specifically talking about a church setting and this is shown by the whole 3rd chapter talking about Deacons and Bishops.

Tuck, listen, the proof is in God Himself, in His ways being different than our ways and His thoughts different than our thoughts. THAT is the proof. You don't have to accept it. Hey! A lot of people don't accept a lot of things that I think false, like Christians who don't get God is Jesus and God is the Holy Spirit, and, that we don't be saved once and always saved. We are needing to HAVE faith, once saved, in His grace that was given us on the cross by way of His son having died on the cross.

But, yeah, bro, there are a TON of things in Scripture that believers differ on and I'm sooo sorry that this thing of women being able to be called by God to TEACH SUNDAY SCHOOOL OVER MEN AND PASTOR MEN IN A CHURCH has to hurt you so much that you tirade , like phil, on this all. don't see why, just accept it, just be supportive of women you run into who are teaching men in bible studies and, especially, in churches, don't scoff at them, don't stick your nose up, just let the Lord be the JUDGE of them :)
You don't agree with, but God does:) (At least on this idea, I'm not talking about everything else you mentioned)

All those 2 verses you keep going to show that God's ways are higher than ours. I've told you over and over that I agree with you on that. God's ways are higher than ours. His ways are in scripture. You ignore them.

You have NO PROOF that his ways are to have women teach.

Its not even that I feel so strongly about the issue, its that I feel so strongly about liars like you, who think that they know what God is and isn't doing, but don't base it off scripture. We can know many things that God does and does not do if we look at scripture. YOU DON'T DO THAT THOUGH. You look at the world.

I will not accept a liar. (You).

Also women can teach sunday school for children, just clearing that up.

You have no proof to support your assumptions other than what you see happening in the world. You have no scripture that say his ways are what you claim them to be.

Two things.

One, There must be at least 40-50 verses in the New Testament that talk about leadership of the church and not one of them refers to women being included so are you going to ignore them as well because it does not fit your theology?

Two, we are not talking about women pastors, we are talking about women teaching and preaching to men. They are two different things and until you understand this you will keep making irrelevant statements.

The fact is we are all called, male and female to shepherd the flock but that does not mean we all have a position of authority in leadership of the church.

no, tuck, women can teach, you misunderstand 1 Timothy 2:11-12, greatly.

No, tuck, Apollos was taught the 'way of God,' this is much past just being converted to Christianity.

No, tuck, what I am saying is from the Truth, from rightly dividing and reading God's Word. :)

You totally ignored my point.

My point was that this wasn't in a church setting, it was in a one on one/small group setting. This is fine for her to teach him then, because it isn't in a church setting. Women are not to teach in the church setting.

You keep saying I misunderstand it, but youre evidence comes from your words, not God's.

Great. The Lord will teach you ALL Truth, through His Holy Spirit in you. So, go about then, like phil, like tuck, like BELIEVING, like itsnotuptome. ok mustaphadrinking? But, to go about like them means that you will be having to show not love to women you see who are teaching in a Sunday School or who are pastoring over men in a church. That's up to you, Scripture states, 'of faith, hope, and, love, the greatest is love.'

Does it show love when you berate women on c.c. who are already pastors, who are already teaching in Sunday School TO MEN? Does it?

What is God speaking to your heart about this? That is key. "...you follow Me." John 21:22 .

As for me, I will err, IF I err on the side of believing that God's ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are different than my thoughts and that God is, indeed, having called and IS using a woman to teach in a church's Sunday School or IS using a woman to pastor a church IF that is the reality of the situation and that this next part IS most important to grasp, too, that she is, just as John 15 states, she IS pastoring so that there is 'fruit' being produced by her faith in following God and doing His will in pastoring that church . :)

Gods word comes first above any and all peoples opinion.
Love to God is higher first and foremost than Love to our neighbor.
Is enabling another to go about in continuance against Gods word, Love?
I personally wouldn't have an objection to a woman pastoring, based on the fact that women can be a mother and raise and teach their own children in the household along with the Father.
BUT...that is human reasoning which is not justification to go against Gods word.
Part of the reason it is outlined for Women Not to Pastor or assume Authority over men is for the reason of exhibiting obedience and submission in the context of
-"as the Church is to Christ."-
Can the church lead Christ?
Some may say well what if the pastor lady isn't married
The bible doesn't provide an exception to the rule in that circumstance.
As well, it would provide confusion and division for some women to be able to pastor and some not.
Such as saying well if they're not married then its ok but if they're married then they have to....
Uh oh, again show an example of submission to their husband as the authority and ask their husband at home if they have any question.
Their husband is now over the authority of church pastor in their life.
What if a lady was pastoring and then suddenly got married?
Now what? How would the confliction of feelings inside rest well suddenly?
Christ and Church are not equal in role and responsibilities.
Men and Women are created for God by God for different roles and responsibilities under The Kingdom
The Kingdom being a key word and phrase
In a Kingdom there is an established order, of authority and hierarchy.
Not to suggest one is over another in value, ...
....but there are varied differences in role and duty between the two genders unto the King
If any woman feels she is being berated for not quote"Being able to do what a man can do"
That person is looking to escape responsibility for their own actions as well as looking to not be called out in disobedience to the Father.
Furthermore from what I've seen many use as an example in the past is
"if men arent doing it then women have to step up"
There is not one scripture to support such and argument, or mentality of contention within the church which is called to Obey Gods word...Not fight for equal rights within Gods Kingdom.
Even the Angels do not fight or jockey for one another position in Heaven...some tried that before. It didn't go down well.
I could suggest that another reason women were not permitted to teach over men is because the female gender as created by God more often bases things on "feelings" How they "Feel" and then would have higher chance of teaching from a standpoint of how one feels about something.
Then again....back into feminism.
The bible is not a book about how we feel about a thing or how one may justify themselves.
It is about how GOD feels and what he wants.
Our part is Submission and obedience to that word, not fighting that word handed down to us by our heavenly Father.
And if men of God in the church are allowing rebellion in the church, who are they then serving?
It is not a matter of men vs. women
It is simply a matter of submission to the authority over us.
Because God said so.
Who are we to question our maker and what would be ones motives to even go there?
To defend humans? or support Gods Holy Word.
Would a person called by God attempt to go against the grain of Gods word?
And if one did so, what example would that set for how many others.
Possibly setting the stage for the mentality of thinking
"well if she can do it why can't I?" based again on what?
simply how one feels.
I'm in support of Love and compassion, but not catering to human emotions which contradict Gods scriptures.
Is it wise to choose to defend the rights of people over Gods word?

We must remind ourselves, God is no respecter of persons

The issue is not who gets to do what and why?
The issue is merely accepting Gods word as it is written and not changing it to suit how one feels about a thing.

There is NO verse that proves women can not teach or preach to men, not one, 1 Tim. 2:11-12 , I recently pointed out is an admonition by Paul for women NOT to talk when someone is teaching them or preaching to them, they are to LEARN in submission and quietness, they are to BE QUIET, Scripture tells us in verses, 11 and 12 :)

. Not one absolute verse in Scripture. You can GUESS from what Paul's saying in 1 Timothy 3 that it's not going to happen with him much, if at all. 'husband of one wife, but, that, too, is NO proof that a woman cannot pastor a church, midnghtwolfwelding.

And, you are going against God Himself, whose thoughts you do not know and ways that are 'higher' than your ways and God's mind does NOT think like your mind and He's using women today. Get over it and support what God is doing, what God has done :)

no, tuck, women can teach, you misunderstand 1 Timothy 2:11-12, greatly. :)

1Timothy 2:10 Women who claim to love God should do helpful things for others, and they should learn by being quiet and paying attention. They should be silent and not be allowed to teach or to tell men what to do.

I must be going round the twist. Where oh where does it say here that women can teach?

Am I going blind? I can't see anywhere here that Paul says women are not to talk when someone is teaching them.

This passage is very clear. A wife or a woman cannot adopt the role of a teacher as in Ephesians 4:11 (didasko), they cannot dominate men as happens in teaching. They are to learn in silence with all subordination so that puts paid to the Joyce Myers of this world and please don't say God is using her as I do not believe that God uses anyone for self aggrandisement.

The trouble with too many Christians is that they believe what they want to be true, not what is the truth.

Fixed it for you.

Do you have scripture to back that up?
YES!

(Romans 16:6, 12) (Romans 16:1)(Philippians 4:2) and logically, and historically we know women did not have the ability to study...Because why let women teach...when they couldn't study?

I want try to post scripture yet for im still in this new path. If i walked in a Church and a women Pastor came out and i could feel that she belived in what she said and she had confidence of the word and made me feel that God was with me on her every word It wouldnt bother me. Someone else posted on this about how god preaches through us and we are his vessel of word. God Bless all and your families......
