Lake Ray Hubbard?
The trees are because most of the lakes here are man-made. They just dammed up a natural spillway and let it fill in (I know, a waste of trees.) Every 10 years or so, we have a really rainy season that causes the lakes to overflow. But most of the time we have drought, and that water gets so low that people have walked out to pick up their previously sunken fishing boats.

that doesn't compute for some reason (to me). i've been around a number of man-made lakes without trees growing out of them. the whole thing seems really wonky. and why would they allow them to remain there? it's like a texas thing or something...
it also makes me wonder how many fatalities occur due to compromised boaters running into trees. seriously.
thanks for clearing it up though! : )
