I'm not going to get in trouble with Jesus for spending quality time with him on Saturdays, whereas when it's your turn he might be like, where were you?

Anyway, the logic of you cant obey the law so don't try because you don't have to anyway is kind of silly if we apply it to something else...

try as I might I cant live 100% pure in every way, so I think it's ok just to watch some porn, I have peace to do that....(I have actually heard a professing christian say this, and it made me think of it lol no offense everyone =)

Woah, my appologies, I'm brain damaged....so ok it just clicked that the Sabbath wouldn't necessarily be saturday either. It would be seven, fourteen, and 21 days from the new moon.

That makes so much more sense out of everything.

Why would the new moon have anything to do with Sabbath? It was defined during creation week as the seventh day of THAt week and has been in force ever since.

There are those who keep a lunar Sabbath and I suppose they have their reasons, but all one has to do is look at the Commandment...

Exo 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

The very first part of the Commandment tells us to REMEMBER. Remember what and from where?

Exo 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

This is what is to be remembered about it. It was the seventh day of creation week and is nowhere defined by a new moon. The New moon is used only to determine the ANNUAL Sabbaths.

Really? Then please explain this: Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

What's unbelief got to do with resting on Saturday? How does one labour to rest?

Uh, maybe unbelief in the fourth Commandment?

This post above was in response to john832 silly question. "OK, now would you say the same thing about murder? Adultery? Taking the name of God in vain? You free from these also?"

I am so done with this thread.

OK, great comment. Can't answer so you run? Funny how the fourth Commandment is the only one these guys can't abide.

By the letter of the law, do you defile the 4th Commandment?

It's kind of crazy though. Gentiles didn't have the law but Paul mentioned that people followed the law without knowing the law (moral law). Now it is easy to look in hindsight seeing that we have scripture to look back on, but no where is it stated that Gentiles observed the Sabbath. So we know the Commandments but who is to say that they did. Is you read the New Testament closely, it clearly shows that the OT was referenced to show how it all pointed to Jesus. But I'm not going to get caught in the whole debate of keeping the Sabbath. If you choose to, do so with a clear conscious; the same with those who choose not to.

It's even crazier when the so called Christians have fought so hard NOT to have the Ten Commandments removed from public places only to defile them in their heart and action.

I had to choose a nationality. I haven't any here. Even though I am an american by birth, I have never pledged my alligience to anything, least of all a flag.

The country Israel isn't the real Israel anyway, it's the Jews.
What a relief because for the longest time I have wanted to point that out to you in a loving way and I know for sure someone somehow at some point in time would use this flag against you - friendly or not.

I didn't use it against her. Just pointed out the irony.

It's even crazier when the so called Christians have fought so hard NOT to have the Ten Commandments removed from public places only to defile them in their heart and action.
Why people fight for the commandments is because in Galatians it talks about the laws and that they were put here as a tutor, but now with Jesus we no longer need that tutor. The reasoning is that our Lord Jesus has taught us to live in love and through love all things are fulfilled including the commandments. As for defiling the commandments in our hearts and action, the false since that is taught today is Christians no longer sin after they have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, and received the Holy Spirit. That is false teaching, no man or woman is perfect. Doubt, worry, and anger will always be there even in the best of us.

So here's how it goes........ Some say we can't keep it all but we're not perfect, so it's alright. Then others claim to keep the moral side of it but not the ceremonial, claiming there's a difference.

Then.......when I post this most of them skip right by it, I guess hoping they don't have to explain the Gregorian calendar, & the 8 points of why they're not keeping the sabbath in the first place. After that, they just go back & "discuss" why the Sunday-go-to-meeting christians are still breaking the sabbath.

No one can steer around this. Just like the law & the commands of Christ, you're either keeping the sabbath or you're not. There's no fence, no excuse, & no amount of repetition can cover it up.

The good news is this: No one has to keep the Sabbath anymore. Jesus is our Sabbath rest. He fufilled the law, & that's good enough for me. And it ought to be for you, too, because you can't keep this law without a Jewish calendar. You're obseving it on the wrong day just like the Sunday christians. Therefore you're guilty of death when you make your claim.

I'm not gonna sit here for the next 10 pages & try to prove myself or my points to anybody. I'm only responsible to tell the naysayers the truth. I'm not gonna try to make them believe anything. That's not my responsibility. I'm only a voice.
Perhaps you have missed the little voices while you were voicing. Now kindly re-read the thread and see if anyone has responded to your post.

There are those who will try to tell you you are lost for obeying God.

Very good understanding demonstrated here.

That is false teaching, no man or woman is perfect. Doubt, worry, and anger will always be there even in the best of us.
And the commandments are there to check if one has truly accepted Christ as the Lord and Savior. Imagine how happy the world will be if the Ten Commandments are replaced by the Galatians' verses the false teachers quoted.

OK, perhaps you can post here some information that shows the continuity of the week (Sunday through Saturday) has EVER been changed by a calendar.

The Gregorian calendar, the Julian calendar, the Lunar calendar or even the Mayan calendar has never been used to determine which day of the week is the seventh day.

This is what the US Naval Observatory has to say about the order of the week:

"We have had occasion to investigate the results of the works of specialists in chronology and we have never found one of them that has ever had the slightest doubt about the continuity of the weekly cycle since long before the Christian era."

“In spite of all of our dickerings with the calendar, it is patent that the human race never lost the septenary [seven-day] sequence of week days and that the Sabbath of these latter times comes down to us from Adam, through the ages, without a single lapse.”

Dr. Totten of New Haven, Connecticut—Professor of Astronomy, Yale University

For the Christian every day is the Sabbath.
If this is so, and if this means that we are not to make one day in seven a special day including resting from our labors, then that means that many scripture passages are not so. If you are denying scripture, you cannot be a Christian.

When I first went to a Bible college and I was beginning to really dig into the Bible even though I had been raised in a christian church and school most of my childhood it was not until college that I really started questioning and search for validations, in the Bible,(since I was there for a minor in Theology) for what I was raised to believe. The first thing that I began to question was the validation for why today's christians are so bent that the 1st Day of the week was the Sabbath vs. the 7th, when after reading the whole Bible its clear to me that Sunday NOT the sabbeth but only the day designated to learn about Christ in the early Chuch. Acts 2 is the only validation that anyone could ever present to me, and the language is not strong enough to support this severe justifications. To sum my opion is that we 'should' recognize on the Sabbath on the 7th day. That being said I can't say that I am representing that in my actions to be honest.

My husband once found a passage in Is. that suggests that Gentiles that choose to worship on the Sabbath day will be rewarded more in Heaven for trying to do so, however, for Gentiles it will not prevent them from Heaven or be looked as a sin. This is my paraphase and I will have to re-locate that verse and post later. Thanks for presenting this thread for discussion.

I tried to let this one go but I just couldn't...

From The Bible knowledge Commentary:

I have dismissed the commentaries opinions, one can find commentaries that say anything one is looking for. Let’s get to the hard assertions.

Those who would bring Christians under the bondage of the Law make artificial distinctions between the “ceremonial” and “moral” law, and so they say the Sabbath has not passed away. That this is false can be seen from the following:

(1) The Sabbath command is the only one of the Ten Commandments not repeated in the New Testament.

Sure it is, directly…

Heb 4:9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

The word for rest here is not the katapausis or katapao found in the surrounding verses, it is Sabbatismos and it means a keeping of the Sabbath…

sabbatismos
Thayer Definition:
1) a keeping sabbath
2) the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians
Part of Speech: noun masculine
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from a derivative of G4521
Citing in TDNT: 7:34, 989

Heb 4:9 Therefore remains a keeping of a sabbath for the people of the God.

Indirectly…

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

(2) The early believers, following Christ’s resurrection and appearance on Sunday (Mark 16:1; John 20:1), met on Sundays (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2).

Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

There is much to be said about this verse. First of all, there is no mention of this being a church service on Sunday morning. Breaking bread meant they ate a meal together…

breaking of bread. This was the common meal. Compare verses:##Act_44:46 and Mat_14:19. Isa_58:7. – Dr. E.W. Bullinger.

The real interest of this verse is this…

First here means…

G3391
μία
mia
mee'-ah
Irregular feminine of G1520; one or first: - a (certain), + agree, first, one, X other.

day of the is one word here and it means…

ho hē to
ho, hay, to
The masculine, feminine (second) and neuter (third) forms, in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom): - the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.

week here is

G4521
σάββατον
sabbaton
sab'-bat-on
Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications: - sabbath (day), week.

So if we read it as it was written, we read…
Act 20:7 In and the first of the sabbaths, having been assembled of us to break bread, the Paul discoursed to them, being about to depart on the morrow; continued and the discourse till midnight. – Diaglott

What is the first of the Sabbaths?

first, &c. = first day of the sabbaths, i.e. the first day for reckoning the seven sabbaths to Pentecost. It depended upon the harvest (Deu_16:9), and was always from the morrow after the weekly sabbath when the wave sheaf was presented (Lev_23:15). – Dr. E.W. Bullinger

Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

The counting to Pentecost began on the Waves Sheaf ( read the entire 23rd Chapter of Leviticus) and counted seven Sabbaths. The day after the seventh Sabbath is Pentecost. This was not even Sunday, it was the first of seven Sabbaths counting to Pentecost.

I Cor 16:2 – Done and done…

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/85316-keeping-sabbath-nt-3.html#post1407878

(3) The Bible nowhere distinguishes between the so-called “moral” and “ceremonial” laws (this distinction was not made before the 13th century a.d.)

I agree with this 100 over 100! After all, Christ said…

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

(4) This Colossian passage explicitly condemns those who command Sabbath obedience.

Let’s see…

Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

When we actually read it, it says don’t let anyone judge or condemn you FOR KEEPING the Sabbath and the Holy Days. Actually, it says much more than this.

Let’s read what it really says, “Let no man therefore judge you” and then comes a parenthetical thought (in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come). After the parenthetical thought comes “but the body of Christ”. I didn’t accidently leave out the word “is”, notice it is in italics? This means the translators added it. The sentence really reads…
“Let no man therefore judge you but the body of Christ.”

And what is the body of Christ to judge you in? Keeping, not abandoning, meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days.

This verse actually establishes the validity of the Sabbath.

(5) As Paul put it, the Old Testament Law (including the Sabbath) was only a shadow of the things that were to come. The reality or “substance” (sōma, lit., “body”), however, is to be found in Christ (cf. Heb. 8:5; 10:1). What the Old Testament foreshadowed, Christ fulfilled (cf. Matt. 5:17; Rom. 8:3-4). A “shadow” (skia) is only an image ca
st by an object which represents its form. Once one finds Christ, he no longer needs to follow the old shadow.

Well, we looked at Col 2:16-17 and it didn’t really say that at all. What it does say is that the Sabbath and the Holy Days are shadows of things YET to come.

Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

And this was written twenty some years after the crucifixion and it is still looking forward. You bet it is, it is looking forward to the Millenium, the seventh 1000 years (as depicted by the week) in the plan of God.

Now, it you want to make your claim of keeping the sabbath, you need to look at this first.

The year 2014, Gregorian calendar (ours) is the year 5774 on the Jewish calendar.

From Wikipedia:
Because of the roughly eleven-day difference between twelve lunar months and one solar year, the length of the Hebrew calendar year varies in the repeating 19-year Metonic cycle of 235 lunar months, with the intercalary month added according to defined rules every two or three years, for a total of seven times per 19 years. Even with this intercalation, the average Hebrew calendar year is longer by about 6 minutes and 25+25/57 seconds than the current mean solar year, so that every 224 years, the Hebrew calendar will fall a day behind the current mean solar year; and about every 231 years it will fall a day behind the Gregorian calendar year.

Anyone trying to keep the Sabbath on the Gregorian calendar isn't keeping it at all! One would have to take off of work in the middle of the week to keep it!
All laws & prophecies of the OT hinge on the Jewish calendar. Therefore, those fussing about changing from Saturday to Sunday is a "changing of times" is totally unaware it was changed already by the changing of the calendars! If Sunday-goers are sinning, so are the sabbath-keepers of the Gregorian calendar!

This is just plain deception. The differences in the Gregorian calendar, the Julian calendar, the Lunar calendar or even the Mayan calendar have nothing to do with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The continuity of the week has NEVER changed because of the calendar.

Now let’s consider how foolish this comment really is, how do we determine when the Sabbath starts?

Lev 23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

God says that the days start at sunset. So a day is sunset to sunset. It doesn’t matter how long it takes the earth to revolve around the sun or how many minutes there are in the day, the day begins and ends at sunset. In 231 years there is one extra sunset in the seven day cycle of the week. This idiocy only occurs to those who insist on beginning their day at midnite according to a watch instead of beginning the day at sunset as the Creator says.

Two parter because of size. So, part II coming up...

Then there's the rest of the laws concerning the Sabbath (seventh) day:

1. No work done at all (Ex. 20: 10; Lev. 23: 3; Jer. 17:21-22). No watering the lawn, no working in the yard, no hobbies, no surfing, no fixing flat tires, etc. By law if a person did not stop all types of activity in honor of the Sabbath, he was breaking the law. In Numbers 15:32-36 a man was caught collecting sticks on the Sabbath, and he was stoned to death.

And? God says to do your work for six days and then to keep the Sabbath as a day of rest. You call this bondage, but you are the one telling people to WORK SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. I am telling people to take a day off, rest and spend it worshipping God. Now which one of us is putting people into bondage?

2 No kindling of a fire (Ex. 35:3). No fellowship cookouts or barbecues. You can't go into a restaurant and get a hamburger that's been flame broiled, you can't cook eggs, or pancakes in the morning because you'd be kindling a fire for cooking. To drive a car would be to "kindle a fire" In the combustion chamber of your engine.

Didn’t read the context did you?

Exo 35:1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.
Exo 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
Exo 35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

And then follows the instructions for constructing the Tabernacle. The fire here would be a communal fire used to construct the Tabernacle.

Ye shall kindle no fire - The Jews understand this precept as forbidding the kindling of fire only for the purpose of doing work or dressing victuals; but to give them light and heat, they judge it lawful to light a fire on the Sabbath day, though themselves rarely kindle it-they get Christians to do this work for them. – Adam Clarke

Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. This law seems to be a temporary one, and not to be continued, nor is it said to be throughout their generations as elsewhere, where the law of the sabbath is given or repeated; it is to be restrained to the building of the tabernacle, and while that was about, to which it is prefaced; and it is designed to prevent all public or private working on the sabbath day, in anything belonging to that; having no fire to heat their tools or melt their metal, or do any thing for which that was necessary; for it can hardly be thought that this is to be taken in the strictest sense, as an entire prohibition of kindling a fire and the use of it on that day, which is so absolutely useful, and needful in various cases, and where acts of mercy and necessity require it; as in cold seasons of the year, for the warming and comforting of persons who otherwise would be unfit for religious exercises, and on the account of infants and aged persons, who could not subsist without it; and in cases of sickness, and various disorders which necessarily require it; and even for the preparation of food, which must be had on that day as on others, the sabbath being not a fast, but rather a festival, as it is with the Jews; and yet this law is interpreted by them in the most rigorous sense: – John Gill

Even the writers of the commentaries understood this.

Can we prepare food on the Sabbath?

Exo 12:16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

God says it is OK to prepare food on the Sabbath

3. No traveling at all (Ex. 16:29). Later the Jews added to this law, allowing only a half mile of travel on the Sabbath which we see observed in the NT. But the pure law says "stay at home." Actually, If you kept this part of the law, you could not travel to your church gathering unless it was less than one-quarter mile away from home. If you had an emergency you could not drive to the hospital.

To be frank, this is just plain dumb. God tells us this is a Holy Convocation…

Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

Notice this is God’s Feast? Secondly notice that it is a Holy Convocation…

H4744
מקרא
miqrâ'
mik-raw'
From H7121; something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the palce); also a rehearsal: - assembly, calling, convocation, reading.

It is a public meeting for the purpose of worshipping God. What does the N.T. say?

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

4. No trading (Amos 8:5). If you happened to need gas to get to church service, you could not "trade" money for gasoline. You would not be allowed to buy a cassette tape of that morning's message or a book at the store. There is to be No exchanging of money for goods. If you worked with stocks and you needed to sell you couldn’t.

Perhaps you care to quote chapter and verse for this? The scripture says this…

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

So, instead of doing our business, thinking about sports (in my case cycling races), swapping smutty stories, God wants us to spend the day focused on Him and His truths. Oh the terrible bondage of it all.

Here is a portion of what David wrote about the Sabbath…

Psa 92:1 A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
Psa 92:2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
Psa 92:3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
Psa 92:4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
Psa 92:5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
Psa 92:6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

And you believe it is better to go dig a ditch or pour concrete?

5. No marketing (Neh. 10:31; 13:15,19). Make sure you do no shopping whatsoever. You can't buy any ice cream for dessert after dinner or anything else. If you run out of food or drink at home you can’t go out to purchase any, you can’t even by a stick of gum.

This shows a completely carnal attitude, ignoring the words of Christ…

Mar 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

6. A holy assembly with double the daily offering along with the other offerings. In other words, you are to give twice as much on the Sabbath (Num. 28:9).Do we practiced this today In compliance with Old Testament law. Do Sabbatarian's really practice the law? I have yet to see people go to Shabbat and give twice as much each week.

Uh, this was done by the Levites at the Tabernacle and it was done for the whole congregation. This was a cherry picked verse without reading the context. The individual Israelites did not offer this for each man, it was done for the whole of the nation.

7. New showbread In the holy place (Lev. 24:8). Of course this cannot be done today since there is no temple, so this part of the Sabbath cannot be followed by the church. The fact Is the Sabbath was not made for the gentiles, but for the Jews and their generations (Ex. 31:12-17). It's a law given between God and the Jews.

What do you mean, not meant for the Gentiles?

In the garden, how many Jews were there? NONE.

In the Millenium…

Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

What is the time frame? The return of Christ.

Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is the man who keeps judgment, does justice, keeps the Sabbath and keeps his hand from doing evil.

Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

What is a stranger? That is one who is a Gentile, you do know that don’t you?

Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

So the sons of Gentiles who join themselves to God will receive an EVERLASTING name.

Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

All people, not just Israelites.

Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Notice, not just Jewish flesh will worship God on the Sabbath.

8.The last part of the requirements for keeping the Sabbath day law Is the penalty for breaking It. DEATH

And the penalty for breaking any of the other nine is what? DEATH. In fact…

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The penalty for any and all sin is death. Why make it sound like the Sabbath is different? Any sin is death and the only hope any of us have is forgiveness of sin through the grace of God.

So, which of you are keeping the Shabbat of the 10 commandments?

And what are you doing? Just keeping the other nine? Or are you flagrantly disregarding them all?

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

If you are not keeping them, you are breaking the first and Great Commandment…

Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

The really amazing part of this is that someone has the audacity to criticize the Sabbath that God Almighty created. One who does this is not criticizing those who keep the Sabbath, he is criticizing the God who instituted it.
