From what I gather, all of you proud, Christian men think that feminists deserve hell. You offer no understanding, no compassion, and no grace to them. All you see is someone worthy of blame and condemnation. Jesus said, "They will know that you are my disciples by your love."
I for one do not say that all feminists are going to hell. I suppose one could be a feminist and be saved. But I see the philosophy, the one I'm talking about, as a potentially major hindrance to a believer's sanctification.
Your vitriol practically ensures that none of these women will ever turn to the Lord because of the hate and bigotry you show. You have not cared to find out where the other side is coming from; you have just pronounced them evil and deranged.
I see a lot of inflammatory language coming from you. On another thread, out of the blue, you insinuated that I was abusive toward my wife. That something my wife would definitely disagree with. That kind of attitude is one of the things that rub men the wrong way, along with the philosophy that leads to unbiblical conclusions.
Some of my concerns with feminism is that the philosophy runs contrary to Biblical teaching on the family, where the husband is the head of the wife and where the wife is to submit to her husband (as illustrated by Sarah's obedience in I Peter 3.) Wives are also told to reverence their husbands.
Tell a group of Christian men on a forum that they have to honor their wives as the weaker vessel and love their wives as Christ loves the church, you are unlikely to find any men who try to argue that the passage is wrong. I've never seen men try to redefine 'love' to not mean love like I've seen feminist influenced posters (male and female but usually female) try to do with submission.
Another concern of mine is how worldly minded much of the philosophy is, along with other liberal philosophies about freeing people from 'oppression.' The Bible says, 'with food and clothing let us be content.' We should help people in poverty and other very real needs they face in life. But we should be concerned with freeing people with the Gospel, not the minutia of salaries between genders.
A practical concern I have is with Feminist obsession with equality of outcome, rather than equality of opportunity. I hear one of the branches of the military dropped the three pull-up requirement, only for women, so women could make it on the front lines. I think we'd do well to have a little 'gender discrimination' and not have women fight in combat. If they reinstituted the draft, and they took my son, that would be very difficult. But if they take my daughters to fight in a draft, that's totally horrific. Feminism has done away with gender distinctives in society in the name of equality. But women have lost something when it comes to men protecting women. And when feminists react angrily to men who open doors for them and other displays of chivalry, it doesn't help.
Congratulations. If I didn't already know the Lord, you, my brothers, would have convinced me that God is a petty sadist, just like His angry little band of followers. I have tried to reason with you, to appeal to your [lacking] intellect or to what remains of your conscience. I wash my hands of you completely and take no part in the blood that will be on your hands at judgment day.
On the day of judgement, we have to give account for every idle word. Do you think insulting other poster's intelligence is a wise idea?
