In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally[3][4] or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[5] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[6]

Well considering the fact that you hijacked this thread which is based on the topic - "Cowards who misuse guns", then we have to wonder who the real troll is.

Stating a fact by calling a troll a troll is not a false allegation. Calling people trolls is not mockery when those people are in fact trolls. So if you don’t like being labeled as a troll, then quit behaving like a troll and then people will have no reason to label you as one.

It isn’t my fault that YOU are not capable of understanding the difference between an anology and a threat. May I suggest you return to the other thread and review the definitions (quoted from a dictionary) of an anology and threat.

Well. A definition of hypocrisy would be good too.

Enough said reply if you must just don’t be surprised if I choose not to waste my time replying to you.

Cool. I am not really looking forward to your response either.

The adminstrator has said, and has created a thread topic solely for debate on this. I think you should respect that.

Ok let's stop debating over who hijacked what or who did what wrong in this thread.
Just cease with it now.
Let this guy have his thread, and please just stop with the who started what.
Thanks.

Okay.....accusing people of being narcissistic is not much better.

I get that David_1 is from Australia and doesn't realize the extent of what's going on in the US, and even if he did he'd support it because of where he grew up. I get that he posts threads being anti-tea party or anti-republican. I get that he's liberal.

I am a conservative, but I do realize a few things.

God does not have a specific political party. Neither the Democratic nor the Republican parties are God's political party. God's morals and rules are God's morals and rules. Period.

Second, it can be very cowardly to murder with a gun. It's cowardly and straight up wrong to murder anyone at all with any kind of weapon. Anyways.

This thread is a mess. This is not the worst thread that David's ever composed. Yet you guys are acting like he broke the law. No, you guys are just taking offense.

I'm astounded at how Christians act these days towards someone who disagrees. I can't say I'm perfect, but I do strive to be loving towards others. Why can't you?

This I agree with, as a person living in Britain the whole gun debate to me can often seem very peculiar and very much a American debate (ironic in way since it all comes from a war you had with Britain ;) ) so it always seems very strange to many of us over here. But I agree with you, that what is distressing reading this, is that we so often aren't able to discuss and debate things in love even though we disagree. It's sad when we Christians do it (and I won't lie and say I've never done this myself) but still when the rest of the world looks and sees it, it's no wonder they don't listen to what we have to say on other things sometimes.

Just wanted to say respond saying I liked your post, otherwise I'll not comment on the thread itself, and just hope this thread gets back on track soon.

It doesn't excuse the matter, but I don't find it at all surprising that David has reaped what he has sown.

The OP intended this thread (although it wasn't implicitly stated) to be for news articles pertaining to the misuse of firearms. It does not appear that he intended it for open debate. There is a thread in the Misc. Forum specifically intended for the debate of this topic so please take your comments pro or con there. Any further off topic posts (non news articles about the misuse of firearms) will be deleted and chronic offenders will be infractioned.

No, I do not agree with the OP's political stance on firearms, but I will defend his right to said opinion and his right to a thread here to not be chronically derailed by debate.

How about news articles pertaining to lives saved by use of a firearm?

West Virginia man, 62, shoots dead his two new black neighbors as they were inspecting their shed and then claims he thought they were burglars

Black said the two men were trying to break into his tool shed around 2:30pm when he grabbed his rifle and shot them without warning from inside his house.
According to pictures of Black's house on Google maps, it seems there are two sheds near his back yard, about 70 - 80 feet away.

Police on the other hand, say the two men were firmly on their own property trying to get into their own tool shed, though the Black family had at one point owned that stretch of land. There was nothing belonging to Black inside the shed or worth value for that matter.

They say Black only called 911 after fatally injuring both men and he didn't attempt to perform first-aid.

Two teens with access to guns shoot a jogger- claim boredom.

Two teenagers were charged Tuesday with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a college baseball player out for a jog in Oklahoma — a crime that one teen said they carried out simply because they were bored, according to police.

James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, and Chancey Allen Luna, 16, were charged with murder. A third teenager, Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact and with firing a weapon. All were charged as adults, according to the Stephens County District Attorney’s Office.

The ballplayer, Christopher Lane, was visiting the town, where his girlfriend lives, the police chief told The Associated Press. He passed a home where the teens were staying and was gunned down at random, the chief said.

“They saw Christopher go by, and one of them said: ‘There’s our target,’” the chief, Danny Ford, told the AP. “The boy who has talked to us said, ‘We were bored and didn’t have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.’”

Lane, 22, is from Australia but was in Oklahoma playing baseball. He was a rising senior at East Central University in Ada, Okla., a catcher who started 14 games and hit .250 for the Tigers this season, according to the school’s athletics website.
Witnesses told Australian television that Lane staggered and collapsed on the road after he was shot in the back with a .22-caliber revolver on Friday afternoon.

I see too many potential factors involved to judge whether or not this "wallmart shooter" was a coward.

Another, more detailed, account would be helpful.
