i also think barbed wire is sort of beautiful in an artistic and industrial way. i love the woven-ness of it.
it's strength is from the twisted, almost braided design. i think the black and white shot is quite pleasant in its simplicity.
while it's not the strongest medium, it's a formidable opponent. i've seen it do a lot of damage to animals that have tangled with it. i've even stitched up a couple. they're a bad fencing choice for animals, though--horses bolt through them all the time.
as to the tribal tattoos--of probably any tattoos, they're the ones that i think look the coolest.
several years ago, i dated a guy who was half somoan and had the most amazing tribal tattoos. very intricate and beautiful--almost mesmerizing.

oh, and IF i got one, it wouldn't be barbed wire! or any common christianese symbol. or another's tribal tattoos--that seems wrong too.

I used to play poker a lot online. A lot of people would say that aces never win because there too many bad players playing crap cards and getting lucky and beating out someones pocket aces with their King/3 or something because they make bad calls but manage to get lucky. Too many people think that if they have pocket aces, they are gonna win the hand and play them hard till the bitter end even if it's likely they could be beat. So I would see people claim that aces never win and I liked the way that sounded. Plus it DOES feel like like in the game of life sometimes, Aces never win either... and it's better to just let it go and move on rather than hold on to it and let it bleed you out of chips.

Yes, I believe that I have been saved. God has done great and miraculous things in my life, and I am so glad He gave me a new life, different to my old ways. I am trying the best of my ability to strengthen my relationship with Him, and when I'm ready, I'll be ready to go out and spread His love. It will be then when I would consider myself a Christian. Well, Rose is what my husband calls me because I am the living representation of love in his eyes. ("...in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows, lies a seed that with the sun's love, in the spring, becomes a rose.") It's the name he wants the whole world to call me, so I use it to please him. lol, I thought it was MLO #, not MLS--but I actually did have an MLO number at one time!! As I was not directly working with mortgages, more just referred to the guy who did.

I am Lynx because I like felines and because a Lynx is not too big and not too small. House cats can't even take on a dog; tigers are too muscle-bound to chase anything, they have to lie in wait for prey to come close enough; cheetahs are fast but they have so little endurance that they have to rest for up to half an hour after the chase before they have the energy to eat.
A lynx is a nice balance.
(And some should be buried in the deepest sea trench available...

Also lynx are pretty cool. (The plural of lynx is lynx, not lynxes.) A lynx won't attack you just because you walked through his territory. Lions and tigers give felines a bad rep as predators but a lynx would rather lie in a tree and take a nap until you leave his area. You could walk right under his tree and never know there was a lynx in the neighborhood.

So, let me expound on this once again:
"As if in Passing" ...that alone may have solved a few mysteries for people. Lol! For some reason people see 'Asifin' as a word referencing some form of angelic being. As one who studies scripture, spirituality, religions, angelics, etc... there's no such thing as an Asifin, lol. ^^0
Anyway, as you can now ( if not before ) see the phrase, 'As if in passing' describes the brevity of life and our interactions. For example:
You walk past people all the time. You might stop to talk to someone you know for a few minutes, but then go about your merry (or unmerry) way. Most of our interactions in life are pretty brief, but that doesn't make them insignificant.
There was a girl once who had decided she would commit suicide one day. Life had been pretty sucky, and she, as most that make this decision, believed the lie/saw no other way out but to end it all. So, while she was walking home to act on this thought, she passed a lady. This was a church lady, and one of those kind that really tried to live it out. Well, as she passed, she looked into the eyes of the young girl, and gave her a big smile in greeting.
This small act did a great deal of things, and the kindness, acknowledgement, and bond they shared in that little moment broke through something in the young girl. She broke down into tears, and explained everything to the church lady. She loved and comforted and helped her... following up who and how she was, and even (I believe) had her join in at church and eventually be saved and God turned her life around.
Now, this one little moment 'in passing' made an eternal difference in the life of that girl. So, 'As if in Passing', I spend little moments here with people from time to time. It may not amount to much, but it may also make all the difference in the world. One never truly knows.
