If you really believed the Bible, Chosen, you would do as I have done, and really study it. Learn the original languages so you can see what God really said, not King James.

I do believe and study the Bible. And what God said is found in the Authorized King James Bible. I believe that the Bible I hold in my hands is the inerrant and infallible word of God. It is not necessary to go to the Hebrew and Greek.

And also, you do know that King James did not translate the AV, don't you? King James simply authorized it to be translated in 1604. And this remarkable English translation of the Holy Bible was completed 7 years later (1611).

I don't know why I bother to argue with a KJOnly person. Just like banging your head against a wall, over and over and over.....

Beyond me how anyone can believe the lies that the KJV was the only inspired version, when it was put together with such late manuscripts, which had been distorted by the Greek, Byzantium scribes to fit with their version of the Orthodox church truth.

Angela, the word of God says that All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim. 3:16).

Therefore, if it is Scripture, then it is inspired.

Yes BUT oh, going back to the original languages can explain the scriptures in such an amazing way that can be missed in English. It is for this reason alone that makes me want to learn Greek/Hebrew one day.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."

To reprove/rebuke is to usurp authority over whomever he is rebuking. To rebuke someone is to demonstrate a stance of higher position.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

That is not a request, that is an order. It is not allowed. That is as plain as the nose on your face.

2: Saying what you did about me is bearing false witness. I demand you stop it now. By continuing to do so is a clear statement about you, where you are spiritually, and what you really think about the word of God.

The NIV states that 1 Timothy 2:11 can be accurately translated this way:

1 Timothy 2:11 A WIFE should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a WIFE to teach or to assume authority over her HUSBAND; she must be quiet.

It makes more sense.

This reminds me of how BIBLE BELIEVERS treat women in the church and in their marriages and in the world in general.

It's a well known fact that Corinth & [Ephesus(Timothy's churches)] were cities of idolatry serving Artemis & Diana with women priests. This would mean there would be some really bold & educated Greek women in the church bringing their baggage with them. Historical context.

I am in one of the most heavily church filled states in the nation and the denomination losing more members every years IS are the BAPTISTs, especially the FREE WILL BAPTISTS and Baptist Bible Believers who hold the AKJV 1611 above Jesus, but are too dense to see that Jesus not the version is the word!

I will say in all fairness to women that most Independent Baptist Churches go as far left as they can go when it comes to women, dresses, etc. I have had a few rounds with them and they are totally legalistic about a lot of things.

It is not just the independents.. I grew up a baptist. and went to many varying types. They all were this way.
