Of course the secular world thinks that. Loving your enemies, blessing those that curse you, and doing good to those who hate you and forgiving them is the complete opposite of the ways of this world. I pray that God touches your heart at some point, you don't know what your missing out on.
You too. You think because my label isn't the same as yours I know nothing about any of this. I've done more searching and question asking than most likely will in a lifetime, because I refused to listen to what I was simply told and I seeked God for myself and found answers.

Do you know what I found?

A magnificent creator that slaps his forehead when people need to have conversations like this one.

Why does my label, or lack of label, precede who I am to you people? Why is a nametag so important to you?

I'm not muslim and I don't believe Jesus is the same as God either. Lots of people don't, and lots of them are christian. Would you take such a hard stance against someone who said what she said, if they were 'christian' in label and not 'muslim'?
Hello Annata,

Why do you not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God ?
Don't you believe what the Bible says in 1 Timothy 3:15b-16 ?:-

'... ... ... the pillar and ground of the truth.
And without controversy great
is
the mystery of godliness: -
- God was manifest in the flesh,
- justified in the Spirit,
- seen of angels,
- preached unto the Gentiles,
- believed on in the world,
- received up into glory.'

* This is a description of the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Who was the personification of God, making Him manifest in deed and in truth.

In Christ Jesus

Exactly what you just said, with different terms.

'A description of the person and work of Jesus, who was the manifestation of God - because of his deeds and his adherance to God's truth'. AKA he showed God's character through himself.

Now, did that require me to have the label 'christian'? Did I need that social label to be able to come to the realization I came to? Because lots of people seem to think that label is the be all and end all of anything I know or don't know.

People DO NOT look beyond the surface.

It's not important to me, I'm not judging you. I never said you knew nothing about it. I'm just saying, if you think it's an idiotic religion then you obviously consider what I said above to be foolish.....because that's what it teaches.

that's a jump in logic, and a pretty silly one at that, and you know it as well as I do. I said the religion where labels precede action and thought are narrow minded. Does your idea of religion view a label as more important than action and thought? If not, the statement didn't apply to you.

The statement was a far, far cry from a denial that compassion is an important trait.

How so? Did you not say that Christianity was the most idiotic religion you know?

No. You took out the words 'religions where labels precede action and thought' and inserted the label 'christianity' in lieu.

I didn't say what you say I said.

No one's belief or religious practices can change Scripture in any sense: there are KEY passages which you have to repudiate if you take "iffy" passages to TRUMP the very clear passages.

ALL of the Scripture says that:

That there is ONE GOD [Theos] THE FATHER. The one God is NOT the Son and the One God is not His BREATH or spirit.
There is ONE LORD [Kurios] Jesus of Nazareth.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God [theos] hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord [Kurios] and Christ.

Jesus was not LORD before the ONE GOD THE FATHER made Him so. Therefore, Jesus was not God Who made Jesus of Nazareth TO BE His Ruler. The ONE GOD and ONE LORD is so fundamental that John warned about being anti-Christ: that denies that He was flesh and that God ordained Jesus to do battle against Satan. The battle and suffering would have no meaning if Jesus was literally Jehovah which no one claims.

God made His Word as in what one speaks FLESH which was always His Logos or governing principle before His WORD was personified in the FLESH of His SON. God as the ONE ALMIGHTY was LIGHT and LIFE before His LIGHT became FLESH when IMAGED so we can see and hear.

Both men and women are to be silent and sedentary while the Word is PREACHED by being READ
The object of speaking where the Bible speaks and not dodging is: That all might be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. The WORD or LOGOS is the truth.
If everyone does not stop the self speaking they deny that

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the MAN Christ Jesus;

My apologies if that's not what you meant. It definitely appeared to say that.

Brother "fish" IF people do not understand that Christianity IS NOT a religion, rather a FAITH, it doesn't do a lot of good to pay attention to their opinions.............just saying.......

But, I am enjoying your comments............even though you are dealing with a non-believer..........

Wasting your time sir, the trinity vs. non-trinity discussions are way too polarized for anyone to be reasoned into or out of it. The only thing that changes a persons mind on this kind of thing is praying for guidance and reading the bible earnestly. I've never seen anyone change their mind on this based on discussion alone, no matter how good the argument that is presented for or against.

Hello again,

He, Christ Himself, (Who is the personification of God) is 'the pillar and ground of the truth',
upon which 'the Church of the Living God' is built.

The Lord Jesus Christ in response to the God given truth declared by Peter concerning Himself,
in (Matthew 16:16) says, 'upon this rock I will build My Church'.

* Compare the words, 'the Church of the Living God', and 'I will build My Church', doesn't this tell you something?

Thank you for listening
In Christ Jesus
Chris

I love non-believers just the same. I used to be a very hardcore non-believer myself. lol, That was a somewhat fruitless conversation though because I entirely misunderstood what they guy meant.

That BIBLE stuff hurts? The trinitarian creed is NOT in the Bible. And no trinitarian creed says that Jesus was Jehovah.
Thank you. It's only in the last few years this Jesus is God malarky has went viral.

I'm not a trinitarian myself, but to be fair.......That's not necessary for the doctrine. Jesus and Yahweh are BOTH a part of the Godhead in trinitarian thought....they are not the same person but both are God. Claiming that Jesus is not Yahweh is actually a part of trinitarian doctrine.

This will make no sense to the trinitarian, but to anyone with an ounce of reason;

How can Jesus be God, but not be God? Something can't be and not be at the same time. Something can't be yellow and not be yellow at the same time. A dog can't be a cat while not being a cat at the same time.

This thread does not honour God, for it does not honour the Son.

John 5:23

' all men should honour the Son,
even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the Son
honoureth not the Father which hath sent Him'
