God's way of "repenting" is unique to God: "God is not a man that he should repent" (the way a man repents in his ignorance of the future). For God to say, "I feel sorrow that I made Saul king," is not the same as saying, "I would not make him king if I had it to do over." God is able to feel sorrow for an act in view of foreknown evil and pain, and yet go ahead and will to do it for wise reasons. And so later, when he looks back on the act, he can feel the sorrow for the act that was leading to the sad conditions, such as Saul's disobedience.

Man's repentance should be, as you said a 180. Man's repentance is a realization in retrospect that he has wronged God,(sinned) where God's repentance is foreknowledge and not sin. Which, this study in itself should lead one to consider, that after learning what God deems sin, do we have the right to go ahead and sin? Are we putting ourselves as equal to God when we sin knowingly?

Romans 6:5What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
I think people make a mistake when they try to insert the word (sorrow) into repent. I think religion has twisted the word by thinking we must say we are sorry. God does not want our sorrow. he wants our honesty.

Your right. God repentance is not like ours. He "relents" or stops what he said he would do when his grace allows him, He can not change his character or go against his justice. Unlike us, Who can not even fully understand what full perfect justice is

You are getting confused. If someone goes back on their word, they renege. God didn't promise or agree to destroy them. He simply said He was going to because of their disobedience. They are the ones that repented first. That changed the circumstance under which God made His statement. Since the circumstance changed, destruction no longer applied to their behaviour, and He repented, turned 180 degrees, changed His mind, of the destruction He said they were asking for.
God didn't promise or agree to destroy them....????????????????????????

Read your Bible. All through the Bible are examples where He did. The list is too long for me to post. What an utterly ridiculous statement.

You imply that God repents like a man, like He made a mistake, like He does not have foreknowledge. My goodness! You are trying to bring God down to man size, or exalt man, I'm not sure which. Either way is a mistake.

I have already requested you to quote where I have said this to you. This is my post independent of your self importance. I was not addressing you. If you believe I was addressing you, I am afraid you have something wrong with your assessment of the post.

Were I to address you on any of your own posts, I would probably fill you in that repent in Hebrew means to return. Nowhere in Hebrew does it say 180º, it can be whatever path takes a person to the need of returning. It can be any direction which will most efficiently cause the act. It does mean more than just return, but you should research that for yourself as I am a Hebrew student, not a teacher.

do me a favor.

Stop saying people claim faith can be real without works. It is not true.

If you are not willing to learn what we believe, then do us all a favor and stop making false claims about us.. ok??

if you want to ignore me like the rest feel free. I will not stop defending my faith, and the faith of the many men and women of God who have preceded me and who will follow me. And I will defend the faith God demands we have till the end.

maybe by you continually bashing my faith?

you did not answer my questions. why is this?

This is a marvelous example of a person continuously consumed with I, me, my. Every post is personal to a person consumed with I, me ,My. Me me me me me me me.. Did you write the Bible? Well that is what is being discussed. It's not about you. It never was.

[/COLOR]I am not asking you for me. I know what faith is.

You claim my religion teaches faith without works is ok. I am asking you to explain how that can be? The only way you cam make that claim is you do not know what true faith is., if you did, you would never claim this to be true.

You bash me when you say I teach faith alone does not have to work

you bash me when you speak against the eternal security of the soul in Christ. is a lie
.

See, there it is again... I took the liberty of changing your words to red, since you think it's all about you.

who is throwing insults?

If asking someone a question is an insult. thats not exactly our fault.

saying things we do not teach or believe is an insult. yet you and others seem to have no problem continually repeating the same old lies about us.

yet God said them, and he said them in relation to us. so sorry if we interpret them in the context of what God says about those who are born of his grace.

so you are saying we do not know the laws? we do not know the intructions? How do you think we came to God in the first place?WE KNEW THEM and understood we failed.

so can you explain what purpose would benefit us to go back and continually read the rules and regulations we ALREADY KNOW? this makes no sense. Did they make us holy before Christ? No. Did they make Israel Holy? No? Did they make David Holy? No.

so what makes you think going back to the laws which never made anyone holy, thinking they all of a sudden will make us holy now?

we never disagreed.

It was you people you claimed we taught a faith which never existed. not us.. That was your misunderstanding, not ours. We always Knew faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By faith we do the work God created us to do (see eph 2: 10 along with Hebrews 11)

No,

Our differences is the purpose of particullar thing God gave.

You think it makes us holy, and able to walk with God

We think it can do no such thing, all it can do is condemn us and convict us, and lead us to Christ.

I read the law to people who are not saved,

I read the law to remind myself of what God saved me from.

I do not read the law to learn how to be holy, It did not work in the past, It did not work in any person who ever read it, and it certainly will not work now.
It is one thing to constantly insult others, but to add to it a denial that you even do it is even worse. Read your posts and description of others, your conclusions about their thinking and character rather than discussions of bible truths.

If I am saying something you do not teach, don't just holler about it, correct me and tell me what you do teach. I am trying to report only what you actually say.

I have never said you do not know the laws, you have never said that. You say we are not to reread any law. I say we should.

You say I report that reading and obeying law makes people holy. I have never said that. Repentance and Christ makes people holy. I say that is no reason not to study and reinforce our knowledge of scripture, including law.

You are constantly telling me what I think, and you are constantly misreporting and pretending you are in my mind. You aren't. You may report that I think we should study scripture constantly, over and over, and that includes the law. You may NOT report that I think it is what makes me holy for that is not what I report.

you have become a snake spitting your viper day in and day out,

This all because you are badly indoctrinated the sooner you realize this better it will be for you.

who are you to question somebodies faith ? (who clearly speaks gods truth, you my friend are far from the truth.

your only making a situation a whole lot worse by arguing we are not under the law for how ever long you have i don't know ? but judging by your beliefs i would say there truly set so that must be along time.

The only reason i can think of why you would arguing about your doctrine based ideologies based on a couple of sentences (we are not under the law) is i feel your not sure about your own faith and the bible clearly says to work out your own with fear and trembling, that means not to try to work out others or claim you are holier than thou.

If all you do is try to work things out based on one sentence phrases then this is how you will be,

This is a clear red LINE for you once again you can receive one or another ?

If you receive this next passage as an insult you are doomed simple as that this is when Gods word become a curse as you speak about and not when the law is a curse

condemnation of the law comes from Satan not the farther. Condemnation only comes to people who have not yet come to the lord or ask this phrase i post next with a sincere heart. again if you get insulted by this next VERSE you could well become part of that condemnation that the lord speaks about
when the lord says you will die he does not mean he will kill you he means Satan will.
When the lord said to Adam and eve you will die what meant was if you carry being deceived you will under Satan's curse do not be deceived again

here is your verse John 14:15 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit (i hope you don't mind i shout this it is a good shout)

15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;…

be blessed bind this pray for this and pray for others always and for ever.

This phrase is key to understand all of Gods bible it is the truth, and this phrase has nothing to do with being under the law it only has to do with God not wanting you to be deceived and snatched From Satan,

I am telling for you for good it is my duty as a soldier for God to tell you . go in peace chill out lay back and receive believe and you will receive

EG, Grandpa, and Phil, our differences are serious and it seems to me important we work on them. It is difficult to read your positions between the insults you throw at anyone who sees scripture differently than you do, I wish you would stick to what you believe instead.

You say you have scripture, word for word to back you up. So did the Devil when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. You use "law of liberty" "under grace not law" "Christ fulfilled" "obsolete" and those words come from scripture. But because you are not fitting them into the essence and being of God, those words are made to not be in character with all of God. The same words, different meanings.

You say rules won't make you holy, and to stop looking at the rules. We are to look at love and the Holy Spirit only. But the Holy Spirit will not read the word into our minds, we are to go to scripture for that and you say not to go to scripture.

You guys are finally agreeing that to have faith is to have works, so we ARE coming ahead in agreeing to truth.

Our differences doesn't seem to be on everything of the Lord, you list some wonderful truths. Our differences seem to center on the idea that God has gotten rid of and destroyed much. The other idea is that God has made many things better through Christ but completed, not destroyed. You say reading God's law God wrote to us should never be done, and we say that all you say should be done, we add reading about law to help with that.
Did you see an insult in any of this Red?

Oh, I know. Lets mix the two (ministry of death and ministry of the Spirit). Because they are both from God so they must both be for everyone...

Galatians 3:24-26
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Oh, I guess not. I guess the schoolmaster, the law of sin and death, was only to be our teacher until we come to Faith in Christ.

Well I'm sure it can't be bad to go back to the Law of sin and death after we have come to Christ, right?

Galatians 3:10-14

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The promise of the Spirit through Faith? You mean the ministration of the Spirit that is more Glorious than the ministration of Death? That sounds pretty good to me.

WORDS OF COMFORT BY MRS Zinzerio

26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

psalms 147.3

He heals the brokenhearted

and binds up their wounds

psalms 34 17.19

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;

he delivers them from all their troubles.

18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 The righteous person may have many troubles,

but the Lord delivers him from them all;

John 14:23

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Isaiah 41:10 ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

1 Peter 2:24 ESV

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Psalm 103:2-4 ESV

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

Matthew 11:28 ESV

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Proverbs 4:20-22 ESV

My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.

Romans 5:3-4 ESV

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,

Hebrews 11:6 ESV

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 ESV

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

1 Peter 2:21-24 ESV

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it

Most typical of you to take things out of context in order that you can attack someone.

He did BASH My faith, even though claimed he did not. How else should I respond.

We have tried to share what we believe, We have continually attempted to show you how you are wrong about us, and why, If you do not want to listen and understand that is fine. That is totally on you.

But STOP saying the same old stuff over and over, Or STOP getting angry when we have to correct you in what you believe about us.

Maybe read the New Testament a little more...
How can you read the New Testament without any of the Old Testament to round it out? How can you read the Old Testament without going to the New to see how it is reinforced and rounded out? Are you suggesting that I am to listen to the NT as a denial of what God says in the Old? Then I suggest to you that you see how the two relate to each other.

Finally you say what your thinking. Anytime anyone shares what they believe they are talking to all in the forum in the spirit of sharing what they have learned. Yes, then it would be contrary to your way of understanding if you do not bwelieve what has been posted, but to come out and claim you were being attacked is a big stretch.

Also you are confusing what I have posted in your allegations to Red Tent. Faith without works is a self delusion.

As for saying you who believe, that phrase was not the end of the complete thought, and you know it. This is a very base approach to what others post.

Obviously you are hyper sensative to what others post, for most times, probably all of them you are not on anyone's mind. You do twist the meaning of what others post also. I will pray for you on all points.

You know sometimes I use Yeshua for the name of our Savior, only because that was His name. It means Salvation in English. I use it because I love Jesus, Yeshua. One person accused me of Judaizing for practicing this, when I have not told others it is necessary for them. I believe you are int his same category. I pray for all people, rather than to level accusations. Why don't you try to do the same.
