But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the Heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, both the Earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.” Now, just keep that in mind. In 2 Peter 3:10 the Bible says figuratively speaking that the Lord is coming back like a what? Like “a thief in the night”. Okay. Now let’s go to 2 Corinthians 11:8. 2 Corinthians 11:8. And Paul, in talking about working with these different churches and congregations, he says that “I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you.” So we’ve got the Lord figuratively coming back like a thief in the night, and we have Paul that is figuratively robbing from other churches.

So that’s figurative language, so I guess we can go out and be thieves and start robbing from other churches and other individuals because we read in the Bible figuratively how the Lord is coming back like a thief and Paul robbed from other churches. You see how ridiculous that is? Because we understand,

2 Peter 3:10 and 2 Corinthians 11:8. How come you can’t understand that with the book of Revelation and understand that that, too, is nothing more than figurative language? And I will make the point one more time. Figurative language does not and cannot alone authorize a literal practice.
Like a thief in the night is a reference to Jewish Wedding, when the Bridegroom came at NIGHT to snatch the Bride away, like a thief in the night, to go to the New Dwelling place to start the Wedding Ceremony, which lasted for seven days by the way. Maybe I should not complain about the next one that I attend that only lasts two hours.

John did not say disciples will baptize us he said Jesus will

talk about twisting what John said.
John said Christ would be the ONLY one that could baptize with the HS and with FIRE, and the FIRE baptism is one I don't want to experience, the HS baptism happened (was only recorded) twice, the Apostles and the House of Cornelius, never again, all other conversions were water baptism, you cannot provide any other HS baptism than the two recorded, once in Acts 2 (Jew) once in Acts 10 (Gentile) fulfilling the prophecy of Joel Acts 2:16-21

Nope.

I still say they are literal. as were the animals.

Are you honestly going to say those beast and Cattle were not Gods?
I said everything including the cattle are Gods, that's why the thousand hills are figurative meaning (cattle on all the hills)

So you agree on the figurative language.

No he said he WILL

If you do not want to be baptized into fire (hell) You better allow him to baptize you with the HS.

For he will baptize you. He will baptize everyone.

He was speaking of these cattle. They were literal cattle.

One of Satan's favorite pass times is to watch us believers spend time and energy splitting hairs on the minutia. Baptist isn't in the Bible, therefore it is not Biblical, it depends on what the definition of 'Believe' is (reminds me of Clinton's comment on what exactly the definition of IS is)........I could go on and on....

so two different gospels are splitting hairs on minutia?

I think Paul would tend to disagree, he says anyone who teaches a different gospel should be accursed (literally damned)

Like SparkleEyes said, "Baptist isn't in the Bible" the only real Gospel is that of Christ's

Scripture is needed here for such accusations.

That would be Galatians chapter 1 and chapter 3....

Gospel of a different kind as opposed to the SAME KIND......double cursed to hell and no power to save-->saved by faith, but kept by works....that is!

Not by the Law of moses (works of merit) or any other Gospel other than that of Christ :

 Galatians 1:8 (NKJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Gal 1: [SUP]7 [/SUP]which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. [SUP]9 [/SUP]As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

accursed has the same meaning as damned.

So according to you, Jesus died so we can live anyway we want to, there is no longer any such thing as sin, it was washed away with his blood once and for all and we are all saved, nothing we can do to change that,

is that what you're saying?
NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO WHAT I MEANT BY WHAT I SAID.

Genuine born again Christians are saved from the MOMENT the Holy Spirit puts that Saving Faith in us, bringing our once Dead to the Will of God human spirit to become Eternally Alive to the Will of GOD. That born again human spirit, striving to do the Will of GOD, will soon find it is in competition with the Will of the Flesh. As that born again human spirit feeds on the Word of GOD, it will grow stronger and stronger, eventually become DOMINANT over the will of the Flesh. Spiritual Characteristics (FRUIT of the Spirit) begin to develop and should be quite OBVIOUS after a couple years.
THOSE FRUITS THAT GENUINE SALVATION PRODUCES INCLUDE:

A LOVE for the LORD that will never die.

A continual desire to OBEY AND PLEASE GOD.

A HUNGER AND THIRST for the Word of GOD.

A continual desire to confess each new sin as it appears.

A continual desire in the heart to Praise the LORD.

A continual desire to Thank Him for Everything.

A continual JOY that lasts, through even the worst of times.

A singing and making melody to the LORD in the Heart that wakes me up sometimes
and just goes on and on filling me with Joy.

A deep sense that THIS EARTH IS NOT MY HOME.

A peace that is WAY BEYOND UNDERSTANDING.

A gentleness that I never had before.

A patience that I never knew before I was SAVED.

A cleaning up from the inside out, especially my mouth that used to cuss a blue streak.

An ability to not get mad for a very long time, when I used to be very short tempered.

A longing to be about HIS WORK.

An abundance of genuine TEARS while I worship the Lord, especially when I sing songs like: "We Will Remember"

We Will Remember - Tommy Walker - Worship Video w/lyrics - YouTube

NO SPIRITUAL FRUIT AFTER A COUPLE YEARS, ONLY INDICATES THAT PERSON IS NOT A GENUINE CHRISTIAN, YET.

a work of merit would be any work which merits a reward or wage.

Not just the law of moses.
