WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL" )

Hello everyone.

I would like to embark on a conversation about the WAR that broke out in Heaven at Rev 12:7 and so forth.

When Satan was cast out of Heaven. MY Question is when did this take place ? I enjoy talking about the Bible and things retaining in it. So what I'm about to ask of you, is not a lot. Please before you comment do some research and only give scriptural documentation on the matter so we can all get a full understanding on this subject and where your coming from.

thanks

P.S. We need to do some kind of reasoning with scriptures to fully grasp it all.

2Ti 3:16, 17 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

2Pe 1:20, 21 For you know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. 21 For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were moved by holy spirit.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
(Rev 12:9)

Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!"
(Rev 12:12)

Is that why he carried on a conversation with God and seemed to have free access in the book of Job?

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
(Job 1:6)

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
(Job 2:1)

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.
(Job 2:7)

God granted him access for that short time.

God granted him access for that short time.

Scripture please where Satan was granted interim visitation just for Job.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

It's not said outright but between Satan's activities on Earth and him presenting himself before God, it's implied that he was no longer a resident of Heaven.

Job 1:6-7
[SUP]6 [/SUP]One day the heavenly beings came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. [SUP]7 [/SUP]The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

Satan’s fall from heaven is described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18. While these two passages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also reference the spiritual power behind those kings, namely, Satan. These passages describe why Satan fell, but they do not specifically say when the fall occurred. What we do know is this: the angels were created before the earth (Job 38:4-7). Satan fell before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3:1-14). Satan’s fall, therefore, must have occurred somewhere after the time the angels were created and before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Whether Satan’s fall occurred a few minutes, hours, or days before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden, Scripture does not specifically say.

The book of Job tells us that, for a time at least, Satan still had access to heaven and to the throne of God. “One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, ’Where have you come from?’ Satan answered the LORD, ‘From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it’” (Job 1:6-7). Apparently at that time, Satan was still moving freely between heaven and earth, speaking to God directly and answering for his activities. At what point God discontinued this access is unknown.

Why did Satan fall from heaven? Satan fell because of pride. He desired to be God, not to be a servant of God. Notice the many “I will...” statements in Isaiah 14:12-15. Ezekiel 28:12-15 describes Satan as an exceedingly beautiful angel. Satan was likely the highest of all angels, the most beautiful of all of God's creations, but he was not content in his position. Instead, Satan desired to be God, to essentially “kick God off His throne” and take over the rule of the universe. Satan wanted to be God, and interestingly enough, that is what Satan tempted Adam and Eve with in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-5).

For many reasons we are not given the full accounting of details before Adam we are however given certain details that allow us to seek God for answers. Now help me understand how this information can be used to be helpful to the body of Christ for other than research purposes. I'm starting to see a pattern and just want help in understanding why some topics are selected and others avoided.

Good stuff Pastac! That said, beyond what the Bible implies about his Fall, we're not told the details. I think Christendom sometimes borrows too much from Paradise Lost and The Divine Comedy for these topics.

Fuzzy on why satan still had access to heaven during Job's time, if he already got kicked out just before the Fall.
Also missing info on Rev passages...

Yes, but Revelation covers past, present and future. Past (eg. great dragon and his fallen minions falling to earth), the present and quite a bit of the not to distant future (for the Jews at the time). The last few chapters cover the future still to come.

Rev twelve ten (sorry my numbers keys are shot)

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now xthe salvation andthe power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers1 has been thrown down, ywho accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And zthey have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, forathey loved not their lives beven unto death.>>

Does this not imply that Satan was conquered by the blood of the lamb - so that is to say he was kicked out of heaven after Jesus. He was finally tossed by the blood of the lamb.

Personally I think he had access to both heaven and earth before the war, which would account for Job. He just got kicked out of heaven for good when Christ came?

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

fuzzy is your way of saying what. Look we only know in part. And I know the part I know. I say what the Bible says and that for me is clarity. We are not as spiritual as we sometimes think. Missing passages on Rev why re post them they are here. I've put in a lot of time studying scripture to be a well rounded teacher. I don't just ask questions for the sake of asking.
I study diligently and try very very hard not to lean to my own understanding. If the Bible says he had access to heaven then who's right you? or are you saying the is bible fuzzy I think your understanding is fuzzy .Look at the total sum of the equation to get the whole answer. Just a thought. I also did not add Cornth and other passages that allude to the fall.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

Satan's judgement hasn't come to pass yet, In fact he is still in heaven. His judgement comes after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. He is a son of God as so the angels are and there is no grace or mercy for him nor any of the fallen angels. He is the accuser of the brethren. How can he accuse if does not have access to the throne? Jesus and the prophets spoke in foreknowledge as they commonly did. I meant, Isaiah spoke of the cross thousands of years before it happened. Jesus defeated satan and his cohorts on the cross by breaking the sin nature of man and putting the stamp on his demise. Just as our salvation is not complete (we are still in flesh sinful bodies, although the price has been paid) his end is not complete as of yet. These transactions are in the works.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

Historyof Satan – Where did he come from?: Thehistory of Satan is described in the Bible in Isaiah 14:12-15 and Ezekiel28:12-19. These two biblical passages also reference the king of Babylon, theKing of Tyre, and the spiritual power behind the kings.

What causedSatan to be cast from Heaven?: He fell because of pride that originated from hisdesire to be God instead of a servant of God. Satan was the highest of all theangels, but he wasn’t happy. He desired to be God and rule the universe. Godcast Satan out of heaven as a fallen angel.

Historyof Satan – Who is he?: Satanis often caricatured as a red-horned, trident-raising cartoon villain; nowonder people question the history of Satan. His existence, however, is notbased on fantasy. It’s verified in the same book that narrates Jesus’ life anddeath (Genesis 3:1-16, Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19; Matthew 4:1-11).

Christiansbelieve Satan acts as leader of the fallen angels. These demons, existing inthe invisible spirit realm yet affecting our physical world, rebelled againstGod, but are ultimately under His control. Satan masquerades as an “angel oflight,” deceiving humans just as he deceived Eve in the beginning (Genesis 3).

JesusHimself testified of Satan’s existence. During His ministry, He personallyfaced temptation from the devil (Matthew 4:1-11), cast out demons possessingpeople (Luke 8:27-33), and defeated the evil one and his legion of demon angelsat the cross. Christ also helped us understand the ongoing, spiritual warbetween God and Satan, good and evil (Isaiah 14:12-15; Luke 10:17-20).

WithJesus Christ on our side, we need not fear Satan’s limited power (Hebrew2:14-15). We ought to be wise, however, in resisting his tactics:

“Forthough we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weaponswe fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they havedivine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and everypretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we takecaptive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

Historyof Satan - What is his place now?: Throughoutthe history of Satan, evil has been his identity because he is directlyopposite God’s character. God’s holy standard found in the Bible exposes evil.If not relying on its truth, we can easily error:

Oneerror is denying Satan’s existence

Anothermistake is fearfully focusing on Satan rather than on Christ Jesus who overcamehim

Othersoutright worship Satan, preferring the darkness of evil rather than light thatreveals sin (John 3:19; 2 Corinthians 11:14-15).

Anyof these approaches please the devil. He wants us denying, fearing, obeying, orworshiping him. Unless we follow the trustworthy source, the Bible, he’ll deceiveus (Ephesians 6:10-11).

Historyof Satan - Satan’s seduction versus reality: Inour scientific, rational age, spiritual beliefs are scorned as myth. Satan, however, doesn’t mind those who rebuff the reality of fallen angels or demons.By masking himself, he can tempt and deceive people without blame. The wisewill never forget that Satan and demons, determined to deceive humans, arefighting real battles and wars against heavenly angels.

Satancompels or entices his prey to follow him whether they realize it or not. Maybethey are simply ignorant and confused. Many would rather believe human theorythan obey divine revelation and natural law. Whether blind, bound, or brazenlywilling, they join Satan for a doomed destiny. They condemn themselves toeternity in hell.

WhileSatan is more powerful than we humans, God doesn’t leave us defenseless(Ephesians 6:10-11). At the Lord’s rebuke, Satan and his demons shudder andflee (James 2:19; Jude 1:9). When Jesus Christ died, He overcame them(Colossians 2:15). Only in the authority of Jesus does anyone have power tostand against the devil. Those saved from sin by Jesus’ death on the cross areprotected; those who are not saved from Satan’s power perish with him (John3:16; 1 Peter 5:8-10).

Whowill you spend eternity with? Have you accepted the fact that you are a sinnerand that Jesus died on the cross and rose again?

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

Luke 10:17-20 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” [SUP]18 [/SUP]And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Must have happened about this time or before.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

I do not believe Isaiah and Ezekiel's prophecies refer to Satan as they are verifiably fulfilled and mentioning explicitly of very real human people that lived and the prophecies came to pass quite accurately.

The Lucifer=Satan stuff is pop culture misinterpretation I believe. Satan ain't an angel nor was he ever. The dragon only pretends to be an angel for he is a liar. Be not deceived by him and his acolytes who do not even know their own dark master is no more than a psychopathic animal. How Satan killed his own immortality to try to kill all of us, is this not written in the book of Genesis? How the dragon's plot failed and Jesus saved humanity, is this not written in the four Gospels and indeed the entire Bible and all time thereafter?

Where that dragon's seat right now is I know not. I believe it is written God knows even where satan's seat is and also the Lord shall deal with the enemy and cast the dragon into the lake of fire at the end of days.
