I like to shop at:
Food: Wegmans although I go to Aldi's since its cheaper.
Clothes: depends on who has the Guyabera Shirts, Hawaiian Shirts, Cubavera Shirts, and Renaissance Shirts. Pants anywhere especially Kmart since they fits me well. Sears, Macys usually have them. Sometimes Burlington Coat Factory store have those shirts. I would also order online for those shirts. Also shop them at Rescue Mission Thrift Shoppers and Salvation Army Thrift Stores!
Shoes: hardest of all because of my size really small! I fit well with size 6. My foot is size 5.5! 6.5 is too big often although that is smallest size available in stores except for Walmart which only starts at 7! Stupid store! I emailed them to carry smaller sizes but they wont listen. Their loss so I do not shop there at all for anything! Kmart seems to be only one has my size 6.5 for a black slip-on shoes (I only wear them, no tie-up shoes! Hate those! ONLY slip-on shoes I wear!) Payless has my size but too limited. Maybe just 4 or 5 different styles.. not enough choices!! And NO! No children size!! They are not good quality compared to adults! I have seen the differences!! And the styles too.. Too childish!
Books. Loved Borders but oh well. They had great magazine selections. Barnes and Noble had great magazine selections years ago.. about 20 years ago with so many international magazines with different langauges. Now they do not carry those. So, I ignore that. Books.. used to be good number of selections but seemly lately they do not and I have to look up online.. try every site there is they sell them. I do not like Amazon for personal and political reasons. Thrift stores (Rescue Mission and Salvation Army. There is no Goodwill stores here). I used to love Scared Melody bookstore but they relocated and shrink its floorplan size to less than a quarter size of its former size. And books in basement without elevator!!?? BAD!
Restaurants: Denny's, (when I have to have a real quick one, Burger King), Love Chick-Fil-A's political policy however, it was terrible food I had for first time in Erie, PA on way down to Louisville, KY for a trade show. So, I am netural on that chain. I love Pollo Tropical and Pollo Campero and even they are better tasting than CFA and KFC which is only main chain in area (anti-monopoly violations. Where are other chicken related chains in Syracuse, NY area!!?? WAAA!!)
Tully's, Grimaldi's (defunct), Ponderosa. When out of town, try new restaurants and/or go to favorites such as 99 Restaurant, Golden Corral, Pollo Tropical, Pollo Campero (especially in Central America), and others.
Local Restaurant Chains: Brooklyn Pickle for sandwiches! So good! Friend of family owns chain. Hoffman's Hot Dogs and Heids of Liverpool (I am so close to that one!), and the beloved Carrols (now Burger King). HATED Dinosaur BBQ because George Soros bought the chain. Please stay away from that restaurant, everyone!
Music: Nope because I am Deaf.
DVD store: FYE. (purchase only).
Hardware: Lowes and HD.
Department Stores: Sears, Kmart, Target, Chappells (Defunct), Deys (Defunct), Addis-Deys (merged and defunct), Edwards (defunct), Sibly's (defunct-merged with Addis-Deys and then later, into Kaufmann's which is now Macy's). Also Rescue Mission Thrift Shopper and Salvation Army Thrift Stores.
Flea Market, Farmers' Market: Regional Market (of Syracuse, NY)
Mall: Fayetteville Mall (Defunct, now plaza), Penn-Can Mall (defunct however, it is still "mall" inside Drivers Village, a Christian owned chain of car dealerships surrounded the mall), Marketplace Mall (defunct and now plaza), ShoppingTown (mall, dying). HATED Carousel Center Mall/Destiny USA Mall due to sheer size and both foot and auto traffic horrible! See
DeadMalls.com for defuncted malls
Play games: Buttons Arcade (defunct).
For stores you never heard of them, look it up online!
