I'm not amused either. And that's weird to me because I'm usually pretty funny and humored.

We could turn it into a serious discuss. (serious face)

So this MIT professor lost his legs while mountain climbing. Because of his need to keep mountain climbing, he developed some artificial limbs. Sounds good? Well, as an aside, he's developing the first bionic skin and skeletal bionics system that he can market to normal folks during athletics or daily life. This is a real thing here. People would put on this skin and it would be supporting the bones and muscles dynamically.

He says everyone will wear it because your legs feel like a you're being sandbagged without them.

So while jogging or athletics people will wear suits of intelligent bionics. Problem is, will everyone be able to afford them? We will have the super wealthy preserving their bodies, and the rest of us will pale in comparison to these strengths. Grave iniquity.

Applied to an AI army, what do you think is going to happen as far as power?

As soon as quantum computers busts onto the scene we will have major problems I bet. AI will be soon with it and all armies replaced with drones and intelligence that are not people. I wonder if they will look like insects.

Furthermore, people are saying bionics are here and since these parts are better than the body people will become addicted and just have body parts replaced.

One of the strange clinical signs in narcissism is obsession with robotics. Clinically we are becoming more narcissistic everyday.

So those joggers are going to be going sixty MPH in their suits, with optical attachments and etc.

Now you can start thinking about the future. :)
I think Larry is as welcome as anyone else here, especially in the thread started here by Larry

Very interesting indeed Dana. Me and my friend were going over the various Transhumanism Conspiracy Theories last night and he pointed out the biometric skin to me in fact.

Meh, I am not too worried though. I think a second Dark Age is more likely than a sci-fi Hyper Tech Age myself, but I could be wrong.

Or you could be like the kids these days wearing all black and be morgoth

All right I gotta stop with these LOTR puns before I work myself into a pickle and someone wants to bombadil.

According to Yahoo News jogging is on the increase and gaining popularity all the time.

This is "obviously" a sign of the end as per the Prophet Daniel:

(Dan 12:4 KJV) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

This is a diabolical plot as Satan inspires those who worship his image and receive the mark of the beast (Nike)

Satan is improving the cardiovascular health and general fitness of his minions while preparing them for the Battle of Armageddon.

Maybe our kids are being trained early on with all this tooing and froing on swing sets:

Billy Connolly - "It's not the jogging - it's the joggers I cannay stand."

Add your comedic "sign of the end" gleaned from the daily news here....
The sad thing is debates all around the globe rage regarding the Bible for just this type of reasoning.

Is this some kind of off the wall joke???? I dont think that any book of the Bible should be made into a joke.

Show me any bible translation where it's been translated "pass over water".

You and gis are a pair of comedians - the Hobbit twins Tooin and Froin... you boys don't get out of the Shire often do you.

Listen to Gandalf here:

The best that could be said is people were paddling across the river:

(Dan 12:5 KJV) Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

Kayakers - a sign of the end...

Holladay, W. L., & Köhler, L. (2000). A concise Hebrew and Aramaic lexicon of the Old Testament. Leiden: Brill.

there were no engines back then. so how else would they describe the future?

Billy Connolly is, i believe, a comedian. And the second second line says 'comedic' right in it. Not to mention the Family Guy animation. The book of Revelations wasn't made into a joke. Just someone having fun. I thought it was funny.

I think you forgot to answer the statement I made while you were out looking for a definition:

Show me any bible translation where it's been translated "pass over water".

What has "engines" got to do with anything - man has been sailing the globe for thousands of years.

I think I may have misunderstood. I don't watch secular TV or know who the famous comedians are. Sorry, my mistake. <3

Yep they all have ye Lord Google God. I suspect if you search, water words of the bible, you are surely to find some more information beyond lexicon. Also the dry land in the waters. It draws the reader fro danger to safety. How do you pass over the water without using dry land? Fly? Boat? Tebah? Lifesaver? Life preserver? Oh that is right YOU cannot.

sorry, I do not get my interpretation of the word from english words. I go to the greek. Who cares if another bible interpretation is interpreted that way, It does not matter at all. What matters is what Daniel would have interpreted it to mean Daniel did not interpret the word in english, he was long gone by then.

Yep they have,, Been rowing, and sailing, What does this prove, Again if this is speaking of a future event which happened today. How would they say it?

I pass over the water in a boat all the time (wink)

Heh interesting fact on Nike actually, the original flame emblem of Nike had to be scrapped in the middle eastern markets due to it resembling the bismallah.

Ok we all know Daniel plagiarized from Genesis, right
