I would tell.. and then after she's done telling me 'how sweet' I am and how I will make some lady very happy someday... I will tuck my tail between my legs and walk away wondering why God bothered to give me this silly desire to find love..

I used to tell people straight away. A potential boyfriend to me was like a mission or a battle, I always had ammunition and counter attacks at the ready. I was one of those 'If I want it, I'm going for it... do I look like I have time to play games?' kind of people.

But now I'm learning what it means to be pursued, to be the one fought for rather than the one fighting for all the wrong reasons, to basically stand around and look pretty, and where appropriate, open up and reveal my 'character' or 'inward personality... stuff... what ever'. MY GOODNESS. This is really hard work. This is a totally different realm that I don't understand and I feel potentially clueless about.

Why do some men have to linger with their 'um' and 'aahhh-ing' contemplating what to do? Being rejected for a relationship never killed anyone. If people were a bit more honest about how they felt and girded themselves, plucked up some courage and applied actions to their feelings then things would actually get done.

(I'm totally not word vomiting because I was stood up for a date tonight. Totally....)

I have had plenty of female friends that I liked more than friends or was attracted too. However, that is still not enough for me to pursue them. I have a couple of good friends that have great qualities, but they aren't believers. There is still a set of "requirements" that are needed before I am going to try to pursue a female friend. If she doesn't meet them, why tell her?

I'm sorry, Arlene.
Darn... Nadia got stood up too. What is it with people?? Sorry Arlene. :(
Hahaha, it's all good. Thank you for your kind remarks, guys. :) Sometimes doors open, sometimes they close. What matters is how I respond to disappointment...

Its simple. That person had no idea what he had, and now shall live the rest of his life missing something.

Good gravy! Not a good time to forget how to speak the English language. I meant to say, "I don't understand why anyone would stand you up, Arlene".

Good point, Taith. Good point.

I have heard worse mess ups. And I understood what you said. To be honest, I didn't even see you did it wrong until you fixed it.

Right now in my life I seem to be at the opposite point. I have been talking with two girls online. A few days ago, one said she loved me. Today the other one said she likes me. And yet I have been feeling led to love a girl for the past 2 years.
3 different girls, 2 care about me and 1 I wish did. And I am so confused by what to do.
Goodnight.... my life is one big confusion after another.

It is a song. AND it is Kenthomas. So there are levels and levels of understanding to be done here.

Aw shucks, you guys! After a good sleep last night, I woke up back to my cheery self again but your comments have made me feel that much more better. Thank you :)
