I think it's a combination of the sugar and gelatin expanding from the heat, then you use a standing mixer and at first you put it on low, then on the highest setting it'll go for 10 minutes. It ends up doubling in size after the ten minutes.
Ah I see!!! What about the stay puff marshmellow man? That's awhole lotta sugar and gelatin!

Introverts Unite! Right?
I do that often, or i'll say yes without thinking and try to back out. The BBQ sounds OK tho, go make an appearance then say you have a Skype chat with a friend from England :)
Gypsygirl, an introvert? That's hilarious. That chick is about as ENFJ as they come.

I MUST ask, what ingredient makes them puffy????
Air.

Not joking, either. When you put the ingredients in the stand mixer and let the mixer work the mallow, you are whipping air into it, much as one does when making whipped cream or meringue.

SO............ IF you wanted them to get 'puffier', you could blow into the bowl it while the mixer is doing it job??

You'd actually would probably have to add some sort of starch to the mixture for them to keep their puffiness. That's the issue I had, at least. They didn't STAY very puffy. It could have passed as marshmallow cream if I'd let it.

Dear brain,

As useless as you are, I wish you would shut up and let me sleep. I'd be forever grateful if you just did that for me. I just don't get you despite having twenty years worth of you functioning my very existence.

Today, I saw "Godzilla" (2014) with my bros. It was great. Here are my thoughts (no spoilers).

"Godzilla" is back!

Cold War opening credits draw the viewer into the dark, anxious times of the late 50s/early 60s. A sombre but intriguing tone is set for the rest of the movie. “Godzilla” is well-written and acted (Brian Cranston is a stand-out – no surprise there). The CGI/visual effects are brilliant without threatening the story and the locations are properly realised. There’s a real humanity to the movie but also an impressive understanding of the scope needed to tell such a tale, quite a tricky balance to get right. Great restraint is shown in revealing Godzilla or even the ‘other’ monsters. I found the ‘other’ monsters a little too-reminiscent of the "Cloverfield" monster for my liking. Also, it could've done with a touch of humour. This is a really good movie. No, it doesn’t have the silliness of “Godzilla” (1998) or the orchestral action and unadulterated fun of “Pacific Rim”, but what “Godzilla” (2014) does deliver is a harrowing drama/thriller that highlights the truth - sometimes we're helpless in the face of danger, sometimes we need another to save us.

Warning: Not for children. “Godzilla” contains science fiction violence and adult themes. Several scenes are eerily reminiscent of 9/11 and the Fukushima tsunamis.

maybe find all five seasons on line or store at a good price and watch it at will, quite interesting, especially now with that plane gone missing recently several moths back now
Six seasons, not five but yes, LOST is a brilliant TV series. Seasons 4-6 have fewer episodes, so it's probably equivalent to five and a half seasons.

I've heard mixed things about Godzilla. As far as the trailer goes, it does look some what inviting.

Also, I was one short on my Studio Ghibli list. I have seen 'From up on Poppy Hill', and earlier today I hired 'Whisper of the Heart'. Watch out, I'm climbing that list!

Good stuff, Arlene! I reserved "From On Poppy Hill" from my library. I hope it's decent because romance isn't a genre I enjoy. "Whisper of the Heart" is great but low-key! I hope you enjoy it. :)

Oh cooolll!! :D Mabuti ako, ate Arlene :)
I had to get that translated, hahaha. My mum only taught me a couple of words. 'Hello', 'Thank you', 'horse', 'pig', a variety of rude words and I can count from one to ten. I'm probably the only half-breed around these parts that doesn't know Tagalog.

Oh man, I went in to Bible Discussions and spent the past 45 minutes reading through a few threads. I thought, I'd read through and get a feel for the 'climate' and then find a thread topic I thought I could actually bring something to and then post. But after 30 minutes, a head ache started to emerge. I took 2 minutes out, then dove back in. Head ache begins to surface again.

That is one confusing place, and some of the people there have me convinced that they from a completely different planet. From what I saw and read, there didn't seem to be a whole lot of love in the posts. How does one discuss the Bible and talk about God with out love? That confuses me.

I don't know, maybe I was never gifted to be the 'brains' in the body of Christ, but I can't look at scripture and pull each word apart in a logical sense, or argue that God truly exists based on my knowledge of scripture. When I pick up my Bible and read the Word, I hear a God crying out to His people in love and wanting, a wonderful Creator longing to be part of the lives of His creation. I read love letters that are an invitation to come to know and experience His love for ourselves. I can't even begin to think about God or scripture or my understandings and experiences of Him with out it being linked to relationship, emotions and/or love.

Yeah, I'm definitely not the brains.

Yeah, some of the talk in the Bible Discussion forum makes the Bible Code stuff look like small-fry. Some messed up individuals on there. It does get heated at times but we have some good discussions. I need to learn to love God more with my heart, because presently I seem to love Him more with my mind.
