As I'm not here long ago in CC, I have no one yet that I really would like to meet in person...

It's the them meeting me part that causes me hesitation. I think, for me at least, it would be better in God's timing than in mine. Right now, I'm still in the process of healing and growing. The real me more resembles a porcupine than an oyster
It is possible, though, that this meeting just might happen soon. It might happen in just a few moments. That would be sooo scary-awesome-wonderful! If I see Him coming in the clouds for us, I just know that I'm going to throw all my insecurities and inhibitions to the four winds and you will see what God always intended for oysterboy to be!

There is a chat site for pet lovers that I visit. On that forum, I met and made friends with a few of the other posters. After a couple of years of chatting, texting, phone calls, etc. we set a date and all arrived in Colorado to meet in person. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I have made some life-long friends, something I never dreamed would happen through the internet.
So, with that said, if there is a person on this forum that you have befriended and feel close to I say go for it. Do not let the chance to meet in person get away from you. You will not regret it if you have a true friendship with that person (or people).
I have since traveled again to have a vacation with two of the women. And, during my travels for conferences for school, I have met up with another of the women when I was near her home town and am looking forward to spending time with another next month when I travel to her home town for a conference.
If you are able, do not let the chance to meet a friend in person pass you by. I am so grateful that I took the opportunity given to me, the friendships I have made are amazing and getting to actually spend time with them is phenomenal.
Just my two cents

I think you have made a valid point. I changed my mind think I would like to meet people I have known for a while in person on CC.
